On Thursday, former White House National Security Advisor John Bolton became the latest anti-Trump official to be targeted, facing eighteen counts related to improper handling of classified materials.

From Fox News:

According to the indictment, Bolton was indicted on eight counts of transmission of National Defense Information and ten counts of retention of National Defense information.

“From on or about April 9, 2018, through at least on or about August 22, 2025, BOLTON abused his position as National Security Advisor by sharing more than a thousand pages of information about his day-to-day activities as the National Security Advisor—including information relating to the national defense which was classified up to the TOP SECRET/SCI level—with two unauthorized individuals, namely Individuals 1 and 2,” the indictment reads. “BOLTON also unlawfully retained documents, writings, and notes relating to the national defense, including information classified up to the TOP SECRET/SCI level, in his home in Montgomery County, Maryland.”

The documents Bolton transmitted were sent to two individuals unauthorized to view classified documents.

According to the indictment, the documents Bolton sent included, among other things, “intelligence about future attacks by an adversarial group in another country,” “intelligence that a foreign adversary was planning a missile launch in the future,” and “intelligence collected on the leader of an adversary nation’s military group.” Additionally, all documents were classified as “TOP SECRET.”

In addition to sending others documents, Bolton also reportedly retained several documents. Fox notes that that these documents featured many of the same types of intelligence as the ones he sent, and they were also classified from “SECRET” to “TOP SECRET.”

Bolton is not the first official who previously ran foul of President Trump to be busted. Former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James were both  indicted recently. Many have referred to these as unjust and nakedly political prosecutions, but Attorney General Pam Bondi defended the charges levied against Bolton, stating “No one is above the law.”

As prosecutions continue to take place and indictments continue to come out, let’s pray for God’s truth and justice to reign.

This just shows how much corruption there is in our government. We need God’s guidance and wisdom to fight the evil spiritual forces behind this. May God expose all are are working with these evil spirits and bring God’s righteous judgement upon them. I trust in God. 🙏😇🙏❤️

I am very concerned, that a former governmental leader would have the ability to have these classified documents in his home. My biggest question is, why and how was this allowed to happen? There have been several situations similar to this one- Joe Biden having classified documents in his home, for example. Lord Jesus, I pray that this indictment will indeed reveal truth in this circumstance, and that any and all inappropriate actions will be dealt with justly. Thank You Jesus.

You didn’t mention Donald Trump storing over 100 classified documents in boxes in his bathroom and ball room and leaving them laying around.

Lord, I pray that the truth comes out and you will protect those who review the cases so no harm would come against them. In Jesus’ name.

In this country, a person is assumed innocence until proved guilty.

Since no mention is made of Bolton being careless with how he stored documents (i.e. not in his bathroom as Trump did or in his garage like Biden did), unless those charges come later, one has to assume that all of the documents taken from his home were taken from a secure location like a vault.

Bolton has said that his email was hacked in 2021 and at that time the FBI went through it then and did not find any classified information. So, if the FBI under a Democratic president did not find any classified information in a former Republican’s email, why are charges being made now?

We are not told if the documents that the charges involve are currently regarded as being ‘top secret’.

After a through check, the FBI was able to find only two individuals which they claim did not have classified clearance with whom Bolton allegedly shared top secret information but their identify is withheld. So, are we talking about individuals such as senators or white house staff?

We still have not heard his side of the story.

Oh come on. He is guilty and thank God for more exposure to be revealed by the Trump administration. As Pam Bondi had said “ no one is above the law “.

Oh Esther, this is a ‘Christian’ site centred on love, care and justice. Do you think your ‘guilty’ applies to Hegseth and his sharing of top-secret information or is it only enemies of Trump that go to court.
Remember Trump himself did lots worse with secret stuff in the bathroom.
Prosecutions to keep Trump happy is unworthy of a democracy.

After the raid in August, Mr. Bolton’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, said that “an objective and thorough review will show nothing inappropriate was stored or kept by Mr. Bolton.” He added that “these are the kinds of ordinary records . . . that would be kept by a 40-year career official.”

Jurors on a grand jury are not experts in classified material. Their agreeing to indict Bolton does not mean that the charges are true.
