From Fox News:
President Donald Trump slammed the United Nations for not aiding his administration’s peace push and for “creating new problems” for the U.S. and member nations, while questioning its purpose and also offering “the hand of American leadership and friendship” to all countries in the body.
The president, during his first address of his second administration to the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday, highlighted renewed American strength while slamming the international body.
“Not only is the U.N. not solving the problems it should, it, too often, is actually creating new problems for us to solve,” the president said. “The best example is the number one political issue of our time: the crisis of uncontrolled migration. It is uncontrolled. Your countries are being ruined.”
The President highlighted European nations’ failure to protect their borders, calling the crisis overseas “unsustainable.” He also took aim at the UN for “funding an assault on Western countries and their borders,” accusing the body of “supporting people that are illegally coming into the United States.”
President Trump also highlighted how he has “ended seven wars … in just seven months.” He took a swipe at the UN, lamenting that he “had to do these things instead of the United Nations.” He even went so far as to ask what the purpose of the UN is, characterizing it as “not even coming close to living up to” it’s “tremendous potential.”
Later in his speech, the President also criticized the members of the UN for seeking to recognize a Palestinian state. President Trump accused the nations of rewarding Hamas, claiming that Palestinian statehood “would be a reward for these horrible atrocities, including Oct. 7, even while they refuse to release the hostages or accept the ceasefire.” He called on those who want peace to demand that Hamas releases the remaining hostages.
Perhaps the most notable moment of the speech, however, was when the President questioned whether the UN could “play a productive role” in protecting and creating peace, offering the “hand of American leadership” to the nations in attendance.
“I’ve come here today to offer the hand of American leadership and friendship to any nation in this assembly that is willing to join us in forging a safer, more prosperous world,” Trump said. “And it’s a world that will be much happier with a dramatically better future within our reach. But to get there, we must reject the failed approaches of the past and work together to confront some of the greatest threats in history.”
One of President Trump’s first actions in his second term was pulling the U.S. out of the World Health Organization. And now, at the UN, he’s calling on other nations to partner with America, just as HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called on other nations to leave the WHO. Is the President trying to build an alternative to the UN with America at the center, or is he simply trying to strengthen our ties with other nations?
Let’s intercede for our President as he continues to work to build up America on the global stage!

It was good that his rambling speech on his grievances included not getting the contract to re furbish the UN building twenty years ago. How could they?
It is good to have an almost lone voice opposing science at every opportunity be it climate change, vaccine, health care and all.
It makes America gullible again.
