This article is excerpted from John Nolte’s article on Breitbart.

John Nolte, long a veteran observer inside the conservative movement, says Charlie Kirk’s public execution catalyzed a transformation conservatives never expected. For years the right has been fractured, balkanized, and too easily swayed by establishment media narratives. But the shock of Kirk’s assassination, the piece argues, flipped a switch. Without a single directive or talking point, conservatives across the country spontaneously united with remarkable clarity of purpose and unprecedented resolve.

This new cohesion, is not built around leaders or institutions but around a collective instinct: recognize what changed, mobilize quickly, prepare for action, and sustain the effort for the long haul. Crucially, the movement’s response has rejected the old reflex of granting the mainstream media moral power over conservatives. Networks and papers—once able to shape conservative emotion and strategy—have become “white noise.” Instead, alternative and social media channels now enable conservatives to organize, recruit, and hold accountability without mediating gatekeepers.

The piece emphasizes a moral contrast between the two sides: while the left celebrates violence and suppresses dissent, conservatives have chosen disciplined, lawful, and persistent action—candlelight vigils, public accountability campaigns, and community organizing. Nolte rejects calls for “unity” from Democrats and legacy media as disingenuous, arguing that those forces never demanded unity when left-wing riots and excesses occurred. Likewise, calls to “tone it down” are framed as hypocritical.

There is also a cultural analysis: decades of being portrayed as extremists have hardened conservatives, but rather than respond with paranoia or surrender, the movement has refined its strategy—turning outrage into constructive energy: holding perpetrators and celebrants of violence accountable, converting skeptics into advocates, and sustaining pressure through alternative infrastructures. The author sees this as healthy maturation: moving from reactive grievance to organized, long-term engagement.

While the future impact is uncertain, the author declares that conservatives now possess moral clarity about the enemy and mission. They are united, resolute, and prepared to wield influence peacefully, lawfully, relentlessly, and without mercy toward injustice. The piece closes:

They loot and burn. We hold candlelight vigils.

They cheer violence and murder. We do not.

They champion and fund domestic terror groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter. We do not.

They cancel and blacklist people over opinions. We seek long-overdue accountability for celebrating violence.

We hold the power now.

And we’re wielding it — peacefully, lawfully, relentlessly, and mercilessly.
