I Prayed have prayed
Lord Jesus, protect our leaders, heal our nation’s wounds, and silence destructive rhetoric with Your peace and truth.

From The Washington Examiner. The nation is reeling in the wake of the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, a bold Christian voice and leader in America’s conservative movement. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) has responded to the shocking attack, announcing that the House of Representatives is evaluating “all the options” to strengthen member security.

His remarks come as lawmakers, shaken by the violence, are moving events indoors and reassessing how to safely engage with the public. IFA’s Kris Kubal recently interviewed Jason Rapert on such matters, and he gave tremendous insight,

Johnson explained that resources will be allocated for both residential and personal security for members, noting that the safety of those serving in public office must be taken seriously. This initiative builds on an ongoing review of congressional security that was first launched after the shooting of two Democratic state representatives in Minnesota earlier this year.

The Speaker also pointed to a troubling rise in threats. In 2024, the U.S. Capitol Police recorded just over 9,000 “serious assessments of threatening and concerning behavior.” Yet in 2025 alone, that number has already risen to nearly 14,000. Johnson attributed part of this escalation to the toxic climate of political rhetoric, warning that phrases like “Nazi” and “fascist” — often hurled at conservatives — can inspire unstable individuals to act violently.

“Calling people Nazis and fascists is not helpful,” Johnson stated. “There are some deranged people in society, and when they see leaders using that kind of language, increasingly, it spurs them on to action.” He urged Democrats and Republicans alike to “turn down the rhetoric,” noting that “many of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle are stepping up” to call for more responsible speech.

Republican Senator James Lankford (R-OK) also appealed for cooler heads, stressing that leaders must set the example: “When there’s a fire, you pour water on it, not gasoline.”

As we mourn Charlie Kirk’s loss, we must pray for healing, for courage among our leaders, and for God’s peace to cover this nation during a time of turmoil.

This tragedy could be a turning point. Let us pray it sparks not more division, but a renewal of civility, truth, and respect in our national life.

Father as you are exposing peoples hearts and separating the wheat from the chaff, give us ears to hear and eyes to see what you are doing so we work with you and not against you. In Jesus name amen

May God bind the tongues of those who are still spewing division, and turn their hearts of stone into hearts of flesh in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Lord, I ask for courage, boldness, words of kindness and truth. I also ask that fear would not rule, but rather love. Perfect love casts out fear. Speak the truth in love. Lord, cause a change in the way our political leaders discuss topics. Stop the pointing fingers and the hate speech. May they set examples of how to debate, agree to disagree, and do what is right. I also ask, Lord, that You would destroy the powers and principalities taking our young people astray, deceiving them, disbelieving the Word of God. I thank You, Lord, that Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom will be used by You to save generations. In Jesus’ glorious Name and by His power. Amen.

Any security person who didnt see the obvious man on the roof is in the wrong vocation.

Have to be consequences for speech or actions that foment violence.

First of all, we need to look at the people that are working security.
I do not understand why the high places around Charlie were not monitored Why??
Especially after they attempted assassination of President Trump.
You would think any
reasonable security officer would think “check the high
places”
Since the dawn of war high places have been used to kill your opponent.
Secondly, very little is done about threats. They need to be taken extremely seriously.

I think, and know what leaders need to do to increase or alter security, is realize violence and murder is sin, and realize the answer is humbling of all before the Mighty hand of God in fear and repentance and ask Jesus for forgiveness and turn to Him for salvation and protection and direction.

    My exact thoughts.
I made a similar comment above.
As I said there, especially after the attempted assassination on Trump
And since that’s been the tactic of war from the dawn of time, use the high places to take out your opposition

AS/if True Leaders may each one regardless of party affiliation seek God’s direction in every action whatever it is vocal or physical action represent God’s will for each American constituent. Leaders MUST advocate unity in every aspect of their elected course of action for ALL Americans!

Since it says, “Pray for your enemies” including those who use you or persecute you, a good start us ti pray for those we think are tearing up the country and our lives and lives of loved ones. Their sins are already paid for by Jesus and we can count it so and agree with God that their sins are paid for, thereby forgiving instead of getting bitter and acting vengeful. “Vengeance is Mine. I will repay.,” says God, the Lord of Hosts. Fortunately, He judges perfectly, seeing internal thoughts, and has mercy and patience, waiting for person to repent before sentencing. I look for Christians to show gospel in how they treat the ones doing evil, showing love, care, outstanding generosity and forgiveness, since the goodness of God leads to repentance and we need all to repent and come to Jesus, partly so they’ll vote right in elections, and more importantly, so they’ll be part of God’s army winning others to Christ so they can be on God’s side fighting in the spiritual war we Christians fight by our will trusting God’s Word while in numerous trials. Jesus told Peter to put away his sword Peter had used to cut off the ear of one arresting JEsus.

I agree that turning back to the Lord, the One whose Name is I AM, that is the biggest need in America. drones do not help. at least to me. I agree using one to stop someone, stop by how, killing the person, would be more like socialism, Marxism. but there are people both in Butler, PA and at the recent gathering in Utah who did see the person on the roof, (at least that is my understanding) and those folks are the ones to SAY SOMETHING to a law enforcement person.
This is the season of the time of repentance on the Hebrew calendar. Let us begin to repent as a nation for pushing God so far out of our life. Blessed is the country whose God is the Lord.

Security Drones is my interest with enhanced capability for securing roof tops at political rallies or speaking events that have a 4 hour loft time with special software and control tablets with a high speed feature. The name of this device will be called an impact security drone. The roof top would be assigned to these drones or multiple roof tops, and if there is an intrusion by a gunman the high speed engages and the drone impacts the target disabling the individual at 100 mile per hour velocity. Yes. ridged spikes could be added. These are expendable drones, and relatively affordable to police department, FBI, and qualified licensed security with hd cameras of course and detecting software. Yes. small charges for Government and military applications.

Twice now we have had tragedy roof top shooters who could have been prevented at low cost.

Thank You

Drones, more surveillance, and tighter security is not the answer. That’s fear, Socialism, and Marxism talk!
    True repentance and revival are!
A Nation that honors God is a safe Nation!
We need, as a NATION, to turn back to God. And Charlie Kirk would be the first to agree!
