As hospitals close and states take action across the nation, Arkansas, too, is now protecting children from irreversible and harmful trans treatments. A federal appeals court recently ruled that the state’s ban on such treatment does not violate the Constitution.

From The Epoch Times:
On Aug. 12, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit voted 8–2 to overturn a lower court ruling that held the law was unconstitutional. The circuit court found the law does not discriminate on the basis of sex.
In 2021, the Arkansas General Assembly enacted the Save Adolescents from Experimentation Act, which forbids health care professionals from providing “gender transition procedures to minors.” The statute also prohibits those professionals from referring minors for those procedures, according to the Eighth Circuit’s majority opinion in the case, known as Brandt v. Griffin.
…
U.S. District Judge James Moody issued a permanent injunction blocking enforcement of the law, finding that the statute ran afoul of the First Amendment and the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause and due process clause, the opinion said.
The Eighth Circuit reportedly overturned Moody’s ruling, finding it to be incompatible with the Supreme Court’s ruling in United States v. Skrmetti. This is a huge answer to our prayers, as we prayed for the Skrmetti verdict to lead to more state laws like this one that protect children.
This also comes as many in the nation, including the President, are pushing back on transgenderism. President Trump affirmed the biological reality of gender and sex in his inaugural address, and his January order protecting children from trans surgeries has lead to several hospitals abandoning the practice for minors.
As intercessors, stories like this should fuel our prayer. The trans situation in America may have seemed hopeless only a few years ago, but look at how far we’ve come! Children are being protected in states all over America!
Let’s thank God for this court’s ruling and pray for more states to protect children!
