On Thursday, Attorney General Pam Bondi tightened the Trump administration’s grip on D.C., rescinding the city’s protections for illegal immigrants and stripping power from Washington’s police chief.

Bondi’s order, titled “Restoring Safety and Security to the District of Columbia,” mostly took aim at sanctuary city policies within the nation’s capital, rescinding any order that limits how Metropolitan police officers can handle interactions and incidents with illegal immigrants.
She also stripped power from Metro Police Chief Pamela Smith by naming Drug Enforcement Administration Administrator Terry Cole as the department’s “emergency police commissioner,” granting him all the “powers and duties vested” in the position.

Bondi also explicitly rescinded three orders issued by the Metro police within the past two years related to illegal immigration – the most recent one being an executive order issued by Smith earlier on Thursday limiting cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
This follows President Trump’s executive actions on Monday. The President seized control of the nation’s capital, deploying the National Guard to help combat rampant crime.
Since the President took action on Monday, Fox notes that “federal law enforcement and the National Guard have been visible throughout the district.” Law enforcement reportedly arrested 45 people, 29 of whom were illegal immigrants, on Wednesday alone. Clearly, the President’s strategy to curb crime is working.
Meanwhile, following these Wednesday arrests, U.S. Marshals Service Director Gady Serralta said in a Thursday interview that D.C. should eliminate cashless bail and keep people in jail to crack down on crime.

[CBS News Chief Washington Correspondent Major Garrett] said that totally eliminating crime isn’t doable.
Serralta responded, “Well, I can tell you this: It’s definitely not going to be achievable if we continue the catch and release program that we have, right? We need to stop this cashless bail program that D.C. has. Because no sooner than the police officer puts them in the jail, some other police officer, maybe in the same shift, is picking them up for a different crime. And that needs to stop and that needs to stop now. That’s a legislative issue, something that the government here can take up.”
Director Serralta promised a “de-escalation” in Washington if the city can “make headway with bad guys staying in the jail, rather than walking right back out the other side.”

Lord, We give you the praise and thanks for the repeal of the sanctuary city and limited cooperation with ICE policies that have plagued DC. May that spread to other such sanctuary cities. We ask for a complete repeal of cashless bail and catch and release policies. Help those in authority have and utilize effective intel and methods to weed out of the wickedness and evil in our capitol, locally and nationally, from the roots! We know that a spiritual vacuum can not exist so we ask for an outpouring of your Holy Spirit to come in with a deeper conviction of sin and a more thorough Spirit of repentance. Motivate and inspire your people to go into the jails and dark places causing your light to shine out of the darkness in such a way that many will see and praise you. May the good news of the gospel be proliferated on the air waves, on printed page and in every form of media in the Capitol and reverberate throughout the nation for your glory!

Romans 13:4 says our police and law enforcement are ministers of God for our good to avenge evil.
They do not bear the sword in vain.

Lord, please protect all police officers as well as National Guard troops doing their job in the DC area.
Prayer. Protection against the violence towards residents by building staff employed by slum lords and violence towards residents by other residents deep in the pocket of slum lords. Protection of residents from those that are making drugs in slum lords buildings in dc. Who harbor illegal aliens and use them for hard labor and more.
No protection for ordinary citizens in dc. From slum lords and dc police that refuse to protect them. Protection. Protection. Bring your angels surround this city. We are in great need of you.

Never thought I would see the day when people would clamor for Torahless behavior to be unmolested, decriminalized, unpunished, unprosecuted, ignored, etc. – instead basically to be protected, encouraged, celebrated. Jails as only revolving doors, basically says “Sorry to interrupt your crime spree, but we have to at least look like we’re doing something about it.” Revelation, and other Scripture clearly says those days will come, but I guess I thought I wouldn’t live this long. Whether the motive for these people is actually a desire to destroy our society from within, or they operate in a sick false compassion that rejects the use of punishment to deter crime, or ? It thoroughly puzzles me! I take comfort in His promises to bring justice, and ask Him to prosper and protect those who are working to restore law and order in our capital and our nation.

Protection from slum lords and housing laws that priest them and make vulnerable residents without a voice. Without rights to stand up against these powerful families and corporations in dc. I am praying to God Almighty for the people involved in bringing law and order back to Washington D.C. I pray for Pam Bondi. Please protect Pam and her family as she oversees the entire project. I pray for ALL the law enforcement officials involved in this project. Please watch over them and their families. Give them the shield of protection that they need as they are on the front line of this effort. lastly, I pray for all the people that are protesting this action. Lord, as you well know, my daughter and her family live in DC proper and have had many incidences of theft, car damage, verbal assaults, etc. to contend over the time that they have been there. In visiting them, we have also had our car broken into/damaged. They have had to purchase cameras, entry locks, spot lights, and now a special garage door due to the break ins. A friend; a new mom; of the family was also recently carjacked at gunpoint and is now in therapy for the incident. We pray for you to place your hand upon those who live and/or work in DC, Lord. Please keep those that Trump has placed there to bring law and order to a decades long crime problem in our Capital safe. Let what they are doing there have a lasting positive effect. While I could share many stories of my own personal negative experiences there, you know what they are, and that’s enough for me, Heavenly Father. Let every soul who commits atrocities there and everywhere seek and find you, for you are our refuge and strength in all situations. Thank you for your presence in our lives, Lord. Let us find rest and peace in you and you alone. Amen and amen!

Amen. God bless and protect our nations capital. Thank You for bringing law and order into our nation beginning here. Re-establish our borders in DC. She should not continue to be an entity in herself but as a mother in our nation agreeing with the Constitution and three branches of government who represent us as a father. A family of states together as one. With God our Father bringing His purpose and order to USA.
