On Monday, President Trump, flanked by high-ranking officials in his administration, announced a federal takeover of Washington, D.C., aiming to “rescue our nation’s capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam, and squalor, and worse.”

Trump on Monday invoked Section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act and declared a public emergency. This granted him to move the D.C. Police Department under the control of the Justice Department. DEA Administrator Terry Cole will head the department, per Trump’s orders.

The president also added that he was sending 800 National Guard troops to patrol the streets of D.C. Last week, the administration sent 500 federal agents into the district, including from the FBI, ATF, DEA, Park Police, the U.S. Marshal Service, the Secret Service, and the Department of Homeland Security.
“The murder rate in Washington today is higher than that of Bogota, Colombia, Mexico City, some of the places that you hear about as being the worst places on earth,” Trump said, adding that “the only language” that criminals understand is when you “knock the hell out of them.”
The President called Monday “Liberation Day in D.C.” as he announced “a historic action to rescue our nation’s capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam, and squalor, and worse,” per The Daily Wire.
President Trump’s flurry of executive actions follows an incident last week in which an administration staffer was assaulted in Washington, D.C. The President on Wednesday floated the idea of deploying the National Guard to get crime under control in the nation’s capital. Now he has put that idea into action.
The Daily Wire also notes that the President is calling on Republicans in Congress to take additional action. He has expressed a desire to see lawmakers end cashless bail in the district, and he and his administration plan to crack down on homeless encampments as well.
For years, intercessors have prayed for a cleaner, safer capital. Now, President Trump is seeking to create just that. Let’s pray for him, his administration, and the National Guard as they work to restore order in D.C.!

When the left elected officials cannot or will not do their job in keeping law and order, then it is right for President Trump to do whatever is necessary to clean up the streets and bring back order. We pray for his success and those he calls upon to do so.

I pray for laborers to come forth and care for the homeless- the mentally ill, the veterans, the addicted. Father, help us to become a nation that CARES for our brothers and sisters when they cannot care for themselves.

I just received a book written by Derek Prince, one of the founders of IFA. He has long since passed, but his wisdom lives on in his books, videos and audio messages. Lord, I am thankful that President Trump is taking steps to reduce crime in DC and improved the safety of citizens and guests to our nation’s capital. However, the epidemic in crime spans the nation which is a symptom of a bigger problem, our turning away from God. Lord, I pray for a Revival among Your Church which will fuel a new Great Awakening. Our only hope for nation in moral free fall is for the people to return to our foundation, our cornerstone, that being honoring, worshiping and obeying Jesus Christ.
Father, thank You that the President has brought attention to this matter. The president can do his best to enforce the law, but the criminals need to have a change of heart. Only You Father can do that, You make old things to pass away and, behold, all things become new in a person’s heart and life. I pray for a revival in DC. We need one in the DMV! From the bottom of the Pitomac and the Patuxent rivers and the Chesapeake Bay, north, south, east, west on all sides of these rivers and the Bay, bring revival. Bring evangelists, ministries, of trye apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, and intercessors! To bring about the healing of this land, people. We need You Father! This is a dry and thirsty land, we thirst for You Father, bring a miracle to us. Bring revival to DC to the entire Delmarva area. We’ve never had one, a true revival. Is not crime in Washington at a thirty year low and has been falling for years. It has less crime than lots of other cities. As the National Guard cannot by law be used for law enforcement I guess wandering around drinking coffee and being paid is a holiday break for them. But the question is what is Trump trying to distract people from looking at?
Pray for peace and justice and no more manufactured distractions.
Those of us with friends and coworkers in DC will attest that crime is NOT at a 30 year low and they do not feel safe to go to schools, shopping or work anymore. If you have visited lately you can feel the oppression and depression over the entire area. Pray for divine intervention as only God can bring this situation to a powerful and positive conclusion.
Life in dc is dangerous. Every district is notorious now if not before . But danger is not just on the streets. It occurs everyday with violence of all sorts inside residential buildings overseen by slum lords and management companies that make millions on imposing threats , bofily harm and silencencing its residents. Offering no security. Safety non existent. Police are not upholding the law for residents. Some are even antifa types. Frightening imposing fear. This is a little spooky. And I’m sure this will be described by many as the actions of a dictator. I can’t see this working long term and will pray that this will not lead to more chaos. God have mercy on us.
What I find more than a little spooky is the state that our Capitol is. People from around the world visit D.C. Do you like the fact it’s riddled with all the horrors? Something has got to be done. I think this is a great first step. This should happen in all the cities around the country that are putting up with crime and all the other filthy people.

Oh please. DC is not riddled with horrors. Do you live in the DMV. I do. DC is in a major metropolitan area, and crime in major metropolitan areas ate usually higher than rural areas. Don’t spread this false narrative that DC is horrible. There are multi million dollar homes in some areas and low income homes in others. I has its fair mix of hood and bad.

The Mayor in Washington is part of the crime Problem. Then District Of Columbia must be taken over and changed to reflect security, and lawfulness. Right now it is a snake pit, infested by organized crime controlled by Democrats. and global spy networks. Sex, Drugs, and Murder. Let us cleans that city, or move the White House to Kansas City, Kansas or Some place in the middle of the United States away from the shore line. In our town of Indianapolis the black teens are now armed with guns killing about a dozen people a week. with a Democrat Mayor Hogsett. When they get caught, they are released in a couple of years from jail to murder again making a human life worthless. If people murder with guns they should be executed with guns. I don’t care how young they are. It the age of accountability. how ever old that is. Maybe 4years old. It’s that age when they know it wrong to run around naked. and if after that they murder someone with a gun they should be executed with a gun, if they are guilty, then within 30 days they should be swiftly executed.

With the level of crime in our capital, I’m surprised that there are any tourists, or foreign diplomats, or much of anyone who wants to be there. YHVH, please make this move to federalize our capital effective in bringing law and order. Please protect the National Guard, and all law enforcement officers and first responders. Please stir Congress to enact necessary legislation, like cashless bail being ended, quickly. The homeless are not an easy problem to solve, so please grant wisdom and discernment to those tasked with addressing the issue. How we need Your intervention!
I personally think that Donald Trump is an exceptional leader not for just America but for all of the countries in the world. I would love to see the Congress pass a law that none of the illegals are allowed American Citizenship. The industrial parks in Valencia California are loaded with illegals. I know that for a fact. I used to work for one company that refurbished Commercial Airlines Interiors which were off of highway 126 and Interstate five in Valencia California. I would venture to say that at least 35% of the company were illegal aliens. I would venture to say that the majority of the companies in Valencia California’s Industrial parks are loaded with Illegal Aliens. Foot Hill Blvd. in the San Fernando Valley has many companies that also has many illegal aliens working there.
