This week, the Department of Justice (DOJ), under Attorney General Pam Bondi, convened a grand jury to investigate allegations related to how Obama administration officials handled intelligence about Russian interference in the 2016 election, commonly referred to in the press as “Obamagate.”
Pray for your fellow intercessor.
As our government convenes a grand jury, let us convene a jury of intercessors before God to ask for “Transparency and Justice” (click to download) to prevail in this case.
This move follows a criminal referral from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who recently declassified over 100 pages of documents. Gabbard claims these documents reveal a “treasonous conspiracy” and manipulation of intelligence by Obama-era officials to undermine Donald Trump.
Tulsi Gabbard’s declassified report, released in July 2025, presents several controversial claims regarding the Obama administration’s handling of intelligence related to Russian interference in the 2016 election. Here are the key findings from the report:
- Lies: The report claims that President Obama directed the creation of a false Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) in January 2017, which asserted that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win.
Pray: “The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.” Proverbs 12:22
- Leaks: It alleges that senior officials—James Clapper, John Brennan, and James Comey—conspired to leak intelligence supporting this narrative.
Pray: “Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.” Proverbs 13:3
- Leverage: The report claims that the Obama administration worked with media partners to leverage the narrative of Trump-Russia collusion to deceive the American public.
Pray: “Though they plot evil against you and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed.” Psalms 21:11
All of these activities appear to be an attempt to set up an elaborate coup to remove President Trump through impeachment.
So, what are the next steps?
These are the next steps in the DOJ’s grand jury process regarding the apparent manipulation of the truth by the Obama administration, as directed by Attorney General Pam Bondi:
- Subpoenas and Evidence (Now- August): A federal prosecutor has been assigned to present the evidence gathered by the DOJ—primarily stemming from Tulsi Gabbard’s criminal referral and declassified documents—to a grand jury.
- Testimony and Deliberation (September-November): The grand jury will review the evidence to determine whether there is probable cause to believe that crimes were committed. This includes evaluating whether intelligence officials manipulated or suppressed information about Russian interference in the 2016 election.
- Potential Indictments (November and beyond): If the grand jury finds sufficient evidence, it may issue indictments against individuals involved. Indictments can lead to criminal charges and arrests.
A Grand Jury has been convened in Washington, DC, relying on jury members chosen from the area. This, too, poses challenges as DC residents are not known to have balanced political views. In the 2024 election, 93% of DC residents voted for VP Harris.
In addition to the DOJ convening a Grand Jury, the House Oversight Committee has announced scheduled depositions based on ISSUED SUBPOENAS of the following people:
- Former U.S. Attorney General William Barr: August 18
- Former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales: August 26
- Former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions: August 28
- Former FBI Director Robert Mueller: September 2
- Former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch: September 9
- Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder: September 30
- Former U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland: October 2
- Former FBI Director James Comey: October 7
- Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton: October 9
- Former President Bill Clinton: October 14
So, now, dear intercessor, our task is straightforward: we need to pray to the God of heaven for “Transparency and Justice” to prevail.
The Executive Branch’s Department of Justice has convened a Grand Jury of the federal Judicial Department to look into the manipulation of the Intelligence Community.
The Congressional House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed the highest ranking officials in the Obama Administration, including the former President himself!
All of this is occurring in the natural, but may we intercede before the Courts of Heaven to see God’s ways prevail.

We lift up Obamagate – a Treasonous Conspiracy by Obama-era officials to undermine the 2016 Trump presidency. We pray for full clarity and godly justice. Former President Obama directed the creation of a false Intelligence Community Assessment in January 2017. Trump was unfairly targeted; U.S. intelligence agencies like FBI, CIA, and DOJ were used for partisan purposes; and Republicans and Democrats became further divided over trust in intelligence agencies. Lord, You are the God of truth and justice, the Light that exposes all darkness. Please bring clarity and justice where there has been wrongdoing. Shine Your light on every hidden thing. Expose deception, uncover corruption, and individuals who are involved should get criminal charges and arrests. We trust You, because nothing is hidden from Your sight. In Jesus’ name. Amen
As more information emerges about Trump’s association with Epstein, Trump and his loyalists are trying hard to push stories suggesting that former secretary of state Hillary Clinton or former president Barack Obama or other Democrats are the real criminals.
On July 24, director of national intelligence Tulsi Gabbard claimed that officials in the administration of Barack Obama ”manufactured” evidence in 2016 to suggest that Trump’s campaign was connected to Russian operatives. This was ridiculous on its face, but then the administration declassified documents it claimed proved their allegations. But another set of documents released on August 1 said the two emails that purportedly proved such a plan were instead, as Charlie Savage of the New York Times put it, “most likely manufactured by Russian spies.”
After Gabbard made her claims, media outlets reported that Attorney General Pam Bondi was surprised as well as annoyed by Gabbard’s explosive accusations and, already in trouble for botching the Epstein issue, scrambled to support them.
Today Sadie Gurman, Josh Dawsey, and Brett Forrest of the Wall Street Journal reported that, according to an official at the Department of Justice, Bondi has signed an order directing a U.S. attorney to present evidence concerning the matter to a grand jury. This is a major escalation in their crusade to convince voters that the real story in the news should be that Trump is a victim.
The Wall Street Journal reporters note that the administration’s claims “come as the Trump administration has faced intense bipartisan criticism over its refusal to provide more information about the FBI investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.”
Another aspect of the Epstein issue is also in the news today. After the Wall Street Journal published the story by Khadeeja Safdar and Joe Palazzolo reporting that Trump contributed a bawdy birthday letter to an album Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell compiled for Epstein’s fiftieth birthday in 2003, Trump sued the Wall Street Journal’s parent company Dow Jones and owner Rupert Murdoch for $10 billion. But the lawsuit read as if it were written primarily to rile up Trump’s base. The Wall Street Journal stood firm on the accuracy of its reporting, and the defendants moved to dismiss the lawsuit.
This has been a poor example for our young people for working with honesty and integrity for our nation. Those who have been involved should be prosecuted for the way we lead and our younger generation must learn we pay for dishonesty. How can we see a generation raised up without showing them how to live and rule with Godly principle if we do not give an ezample to follow. We give thanks to ur God who revealed Truth so we can change our ways. May repentance draw all to a closer relationship with a TRUTHFUL GOD, All those who seek truth will listen to Him who is TRUTH
The truth is that young people are leaving the Evangelical church in droves not because of the lies of the government but because church leaders show such hypocrisy in supporting a clearly immoral political leader. Judgment comes on the church because of this sin.
