Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rick Crawford are calling on FBI Director Kash Patel to investigate recently revealed unreviewed evidence related to Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.

The letter, addressed directly to FBI Director Kash Patel, demands that the unevaluated materials — which include sensitive intelligence, foreign communications, and damning evidence related to the Clinton Foundation and Barack Obama — be immediately reviewed and exposed to the American people.

According to the press release, “This untapped and unreviewed information has lived within thumb drives in the FBI’s custody inside a Northern Virginia offshoot office of the FBI’s Washington Field Office since 2018. This letter was sent in response to Chairman Grassley’s efforts to get the appendix to the DOJ OIG’s June 2018 report reviewing the DOJ and FBI’s handling of the Clinton investigation, also known as the “Clinton annex,” declassified.”

In a joint statement, Senator Grassley and Representative Crawford both highlighted the degradation of trust in the FBI, blaming this degradation on Director Patel’s predecessors’ “failure to impartially conduct [the FBI’s] law enforcement and intelligence mission.” The two lawmakers are now calling on Director Patel and his bureau to review the evidence immediately.

Many will remember when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton faced scathing criticism over her decision to use private email servers for official communications instead of official State Department email accounts. This scandal followed her into the 2016 elections, where supporters of then-candidate Donald Trump chanted “lock her up” in protest of her actions.

According to Wikipedia, the FBI determined after a years-long investigation that “Clinton’s server did not contain any information or emails that were clearly marked classified.” However, we now know that the FBI didn’t even examine all of the evidence it had. Could these thumb drives significantly change what we and law enforcement know about Clinton’s emails?

Countless scandals are all being exposed in Washington right now, and this is yet another scandal that should inform our prayers. Let’s continue to pray for truth and justice in our nation, especially in our federal government!
