I Prayed have prayed
Heavenly Father, we thank you for this gathering to worship You, pray together, and hear Your Word and message to intercessors. May every person attending be blessed and encouraged in boldness to intercede for Your truth to be held in our nation. Thank you, Lord, for all you are doing through your faithful intercessors. New England is hard ground for the gospel. Bible-believing churches are few and far between. Many a rainbow flag flies from New England churches, and it can sometimes feel like we are on the far edges of Christendom.

So, having an IFA Gatekeepers Conference in our midst was a truly exciting and inspiring event. IFA prayer warriors came from all across New England – New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Maine. State leaders came from as far away as the Virgin Islands, Illinois, and Michigan.

It was a 90-degree hot and humid day, but the prayer warriors gathered inside were on fire for the Lord and thrilled to be together!

After an uplifting time of worship, David and Kris Kubal, our hosts and leaders, welcomed us and shared their heartfelt desire for the conference. Their prayer for us was that we would experience the presence of God and leave with a new lifelong friend.

Well, mission accomplished.

David shared that he and Kris wanted to encourage us and to remind us that we are not alone, nor small in number. As David said, “They call us a remnant, but God’s remnant across the U.S. and the world is quite large, and you’re a significant part.”

Kris added, “At a Gatekeepers Conference, you’ll be encouraged because you’ll see you’re not alone. You may meet other people, and you’re even in your own community, city, or state, who are praying. God’s been giving people pieces of the message and when we come together the missing pieces are filled in and we get the fuller picture of what God wants us to do.”

Intercessors tore down a wall

David then opened Session 1: Possessing the Gates of the Enemy. He took us back to July 12, 1987, and President Reagan’s famous speech at the Brandenburg Gate in West Germany. “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall,” Pres. Reagan declared.

But the wall did not come down until two years later. David shared the remarkable story of the “Prayers for Peace” movement, which began in 1982 in Leipzig, Germany. A small band of pastors and prayer warriors, like us, met in a cathedral to pray for peace. How they rejoiced when Pres. Reagan made his famous speech. They continued praying.

In October of 1989, this brave band of intercessors lit candles and left the safety of their cathedral to march towards the Berlin Wall, knowing they could be shot and killed at any moment by the soldiers posted along the route by the East German government.

But instead of bullets, they were met by 100,000 of their fellow East Germans carrying lit candles. The intercessors offered their candles to the soldiers, who took them, put down their weapons, and joined the march. The wall soon came down. It was prayer that broke the power of communism. As the leaders remarked, “We were ready for anything, except candles and prayer.”

David went on to explain the purpose of gates. In the Old Testament, they were a place of authority, where city rulers would implement policy, and those entering were required to submit to their policies.

“If you control the gates, you control the city,” said David, referring to Genesis 24:60 and the Abrahamic Covenant. “We are called to possess the seats of authority, to bring God’s values to the earth, and bless nations.”

What an important assignment for an intercessor. We intercessors are the gatekeepers.

God shuts the gate on the globalist agenda

In Session 2: The Blessing of the Tower of Babel?, David gave an overview of the globalists’ agenda, which was to: 1) Eliminate the need for God; 2) Strip away morality to allow any type of behavior; 3) Centralize power; and 4) Replace freedom with security.

Haven’t we seen that agenda manifesting itself today? David went on to explain how this grab for global power is an ancient sin, tracing it back to the Tower of Babel. “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” (Genesis 11:4)

Their purpose was to build a tower high enough to escape the flood waters that had destroyed all the people on the earth, except for Noah and his family. In essence, they were saying that we would not be judged, and thereby, evil would increase. Throughout history, David remarked, “With ever-increasing levels of evil, the result is centralized power.” A power grab we are seeing today.

But God came down from heaven to see the tower the sons of men had built, and He stopped their global agenda and their grab for power. David revealed how the word ‘babel’ is not a Hebrew or Greek word. Instead, it is an ancient Assyrian word which means “Gate of God.” God would not let the globalists sit at His gate.

It’s all a spiritual battle

In Session 3: Using Evil for Social Change, Kris gave a fascinating overview of the seeds of Marxism and Dialectical Materialism, beginning with Joseph Dietzgen in 1876. His “sermons” religiousized this evil philosophy, exploiting the sinful nature of man, dividing people into the haves and have-nots, and replacing our Savior Jesus with work

Kris described the Cloward-Piven strategy, a Trojan Horse initiative, that appears to right wrongs and help people. But in reality, it enslaves people instead. She went through eight areas where we’re seeing this enslavement displayed in our society today – healthcare, poverty, debt, and gun control. Welfare, education, religion, and class warfare. The goal is to control us.

She shared the four steps to gaining control: 1) Demoralization – destroying faith in our institutions; 2) Destabilization – attacking our economy, culture, and institutions; 3) Crisis – chaos and conflict bring about change; 4) Normalization – this is the way things must be.

It is demonic and a spiritual battle.

Kris encouraged us to be like the sons of Issachar, “who had understanding of the times, and knew what Israel ought to do.’ (1 Chronicles 12:32) To accomplish this, we must ask for discernment. We must listen to God’s strategy for the battle and armor up.

Therefore, take up the whole armor of God so that you may be able to withstand an evil day and, having done all, stand. (Ephesians 6:12)

“We are uniquely gifted and called to do what no court can do,” Kris said. “We are called to do what no investigation alone can do, what no government alone can do. We are the advisors to the people in government who didn’t know they needed us.”

A Jam-packed Afternoon

After lunch, we returned for a jam-packed afternoon discussing the nature of man, the differences between being a conservative and a progressive, and what it means to be an intercessor.

Here are a few highlights from our afternoon session:

To ensure good government, we must have a correct understanding of the nature of man. Progressives believe that man can be perfected, and government is the solution to all problems. For the progressive left, politics is their religion and government their church.

On the other hand, conservatives believe man is flawed and corruptible. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) They look for internal solutions, a change of heart, positioning freedom of religion as the only hope to develop a moral society. To a conservative, strengthening the moral fiber of our nation is the only solution.

David then went through an eye-opening list of differences between progressives and conservatives, and their impact on government programs. In addition to the differing viewpoints on the nature of man, the critical difference between them is that progressives are looking to grab central power, and conservatives look to distribute authority.

Is Prayer Intercession?

In the final session, Is Prayer Intercession?, David revealed, “Prayer involves a list. Intercession involves listening. It is possible to pray and not experience the Presence of God. However, it is impossible to intercede without experiencing the Presence of God,

Prayer is a list of prayers towards a specific need. Meanwhile, intercession is a process of listening to God so we can ‘hit the mark.’ When we intercede, we seek to understand the heart of God. We hit the mark by listening to what God wants.

Then David proceeded to demonstrate with an actual bow how archers stood waiting for the word from their commander on when and where to strike. They did not look at their target, but at their commander. When the signal came, the arrow was already perfectly aimed and simply needed to be let loose to hit the mark.

“We pray with our minds but intercede with our spirits. We speak the truth. We speak to government issues. We reflect God’s principles. We represent Godly truth in government,” Dave said.

The conference concluded with a powerful time of prayer and commissioning. Each state leader prayed individually over their state members for God’s blessing to be upon us in our calling as intercessors.

What an amazing conference, as we learned about our biblical role as intercessors. We were encouraged and equipped in our calling to walk as intercessors and engage with our governmental leaders. But most importantly, we got to be face-to-face with our Christian brothers and sisters in worship, learning, and fellowship.

David and Kris spoke with me afterwards. Dave disclosed, “I love being with people who God has uniquely called to change and affect this nation through prayer and intercession. It’s just a wonderful opportunity we had today to share with each other and look into each other’s eyes and look into the Scriptures and see how the Word of God can affect us. And it’s great to look into each other’s eyes and smile and laugh.”

Kris concluded, “God gave us this message for intercessors because they need courage. They need equipping. They need to have a full understanding of their calling and their anointing. So, by sharing all of this, we hope people leave feeling like they understand they’re not weird. They have a mission. God is using them, and they are necessary.”

Arise, shine; For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
(Isaiah 60: 1-3)

Thank You, Lord, for these Gatekeeper Conferences that equip the saints for the work of the ministry in intercession and praise. Bless David and Kris with wisdom and discernment from above, as they lead. Now may each one equipped look to You, as they put their training to practical use, and find the spot “on the wall” that You have given them to stand and to keep watch. Marshal Your troops, YHVH Tzva’ot, and lead us into battle through intercession and praise.

Thank you for sharing the uplifting message of this conference. Intercessory inroads have occurred in an area of spiritual apathy in this part of the nation. I thank you, Belinda, for this uplifting and encouraging article. I pray that this move will spread like wildfire across our nation, and that intercessory prayer will expand exponentially in our land. Thank You Jesus.

Thank you for this article today about the intercessors gathering! I finally understand my calling better. I have pastored for 38 years & I have always been outspoken about evil in our society & the government. I explained the difference between progressives & Christian’s conservatives, it’s hard to build a good size church when you really preach the word! People are touchy & get offended & leave. But I didn’t back down! I have been an intercessors all these years ! The Lord is leading me to step down from pastoring but giving me more insight & calling as an intercessors!

Oh how I wish there were more pastors like you. We have left many churches who are woke and afraid to speak the truth. We live in Indianapolis. It’s hard to find solid churches today. We are at a small country church now and they are looking for a new pastor. The old one retired and he was solid and unapologetic for speaking out against the evils of our culture!! God Bless you 🙏🙏
