Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a stark warning to China at the Shangri-La Dialogue security summit on Saturday, vowing to defend Taiwan in the event of Chinese aggression.

āThis isnāt a drill. Communist China will not invadeĀ TaiwanĀ on President Trumpās watch,ā Hegseth said. āAny attempt by Communist China to conquer TaiwanĀ by force would result in devastating consequences for the Indo-Pacific and the world.ā
While Hegseth did not outline specific retaliatory steps, his speech marks the strongest U.S. statement yet under the Trump administration regardingĀ TaiwanāsĀ defense. His remarks come amidĀ ChinaāsĀ ongoing military buildup and aggressive posture toward the self-governed island, which Beijing considers a breakaway province.
Secretary Hegseth also stresses that Asia is the Trump administration’s top priority. At the same time, he urged America’s Asian allies to “contribute more to their own defense” according to the Caller, citing “disproportionate European spending.”
Under President Biden, China repeated threatened Taiwan, prompting similar responses from the previous administration. The Trump administration, however seems to be upping the stakes.
As the whole world is focused on Ukraine, Russia, and the Middle East, China is also preparing for a larger war. Let’s pray for peace in the pacific, and for strength for our leaders as they stand up to China!

I am glad there is finally some more dialogue on IFApray about Ukraine. Far to little as this war is the largest humanitarian travesty in terms of human loss and suffering since WW2. Larry nothing you have stated can be confirmed! It is pure rhetoric. This is the same pro Putin lies coming out of the Kremlin disinformation farms.. Trying to deflect the ugly fact that our President is failing the very freedoms Americans enjoy and Ukraine is fighting for is disingenuous and shameful at best. Blaming Ukraine, Zelensky and others like Biden and the Democrats, calling them evil is sadly regurgitating what our President and others likes to do when they canāt justify their actions. This is pure cowardice and corrupt. Christians of all people should no better or at least recognize the hypocrisy. We need to fervently pray for President Donald Trumpās heart and mind to change his position from appeasement and capitulation to our enemies (and Ukraineās enemies) to courageous leadership and strength to end this war and Putinās miserable reign. How Trump is handling injustice in Ukraine is exactly how he will handle our enemies ahead of us. God change his mind and heart in Jesus name.

It is not true that the rest of the world has been focused on the Middle East and Ukraine and not China. MAGA news sources have focused only on the Middle East and Ukraine. The rest of the world has learned that the Chinese have been developing detailed maps of the sea beds probably so that their subs are able to hide better and have developed new type of landing ships. This is while MAGA news sources have been focused on scandal news and cultural issues. What MAGA doesn’t know can hurt you.
Edmund, Ukraine is not completely innocent there are reports of money and military equipment the US has sent to help them disappearing. Zelinski has said he doesnāt know where it had gone. He should and is where the accountability stops. Donāt forget the Biden and his evil administration set in motion all the evil that has intensified in the world. This new socialist democratic party is working for evil also. I believe that President Trump is being guided by God and our ways are not Godās ways. All that being said Godās will be done. The claim by Tucker Carlson was NEVER backed up with proof. In fact, his claim has all been proven to be false. In fact, common sense makes his claim looked ridiculous. We sent large military equipment to Ukraine. Tanks, personal carriers, missile launchers, antiradar equipment (as big as tanks), missiles……The only way to get that kind of equipment out of Ukraine is by specially designed planes which only the US has or by barge. So, in a country that is the focus of satellites, Carlson is claiming that large pieces of equipment are being moved across thousands of miles without being eliminated by drones to the coast and being moved onto barges which are taking them past the Russian navy, through the Mediterranean Sea, across the Atlantic Ocean to Mexico WITHOUT being spotted?????? And what the heck use does a drug cartel have of antitank weapons?? Carlson has produced NO photographs, video, eyewitnesses or documents to prove his claim.
You need to be more careful of your news sources.
Tucker Carlson claimed 50% of the equipment we sent to Ukraine was sold by them and when asked what his proof was he said he had NONE.
And Zelensky DID NOT say that equipment disappeared. He said that Ukraine received $70 billion in military equipment (actually with depreciation worth $12 billion). The rest of the money ear marked for Ukraine was humanitarian aid and money spent in the United States replacing the used and new equipment sent to Ukraine. What he said is that he didn’t know where that money went BECAUSE it did not flow through him. The humanitarian probably went directly to the intended sources.
Again, you need to rely on better news sources. At least use honest ones.

I assure you that I am as conservative as you are, but I am paying attention. Trump claims that Ukraine started the war. Now I lived through the events. I know that Ukraine did not start the war. Trump goes on to say that Zelensky is a dictator and weeks later he says that HE NEVER SAID THAT.
I have had some experience with life and when someone lies repeatedly and has no qualms about it that is a clear sign that that person has lied so much that they no longer have a conscious toward lying. That person is cursed and no longer knows what is true and what is false.
God may be using Trump like he once used a donkey. He may be using Trump to deal with America’s cultural issues. And, yes, Trump, from time to time, says religious things. But just about all of our presidents from time to time have said religious things, including Obama. I would be a fool if I followed Trump blindly.
How is the Whitehouse planning to defend Taiwan? I hope not the same way it is currently defending Ukraine from Russia and Putinās murderous reign! It is shameful for Americans to slander Ukraine for fighting for the same independence and freedom all Americans enjoy bought with the blood of those who fought and gave their lives.
Despite all his potential good Trump is an unspeakable disappointment regarding his strange alignment and appeasement of Putin and Russia.
What happened to peace through strength? This is weakness and cowardice not greatness!

It makes me very sad to say that Trump is now deciding to shift antidrone tech from Ukraine. He is making this decision after a phone call with Putin and Russia has announced that they intend to respond to the remarkable feat by Ukraine in launching drone attacks deep into Russia, some of which were close to Siberia.
While we promised Ukraine to defend them if they gave up their nuclear weapons, we have a treaty with Taiwan. Of course, covenant promised to another people doesn’t seem to be a big issue with MAGA (although it is with God), it is more the fact that something like 85% of the higher end chips and most of the AI chips are made in Taiwan that is probably the deciding factor with Trump. Chips are the new have-to-have commodity of a modern nation. If China gains control of Taiwan, they will be able to dominate the world. Also an issue is the South China Sea. If China controls it, they control Japan and South Korea with whom we also have treaties.
A treaty requires us by law to respond. Treaties are put into place through a vote by 2/3 of congress. It is not something that Trump can overwrite.
Lord, cause Russia, China and North Korean to turn on one another. Let fear of war take hold of the Chinese people. Cloud the judgments of their industrial military leaders. Disrupt their ability to manufacture weapons. Cause the Chinese to loose information. Cause their satellites to fail. Cause the weather to turn against their navy. Sink their ships while they are in harbor.
Lord, wake up your people to the reality of the alliance between China, Russia and North Korea. Raise up bold leaders in Europe around which Europeans can rally. Strengthen their industrial military base. Strengthen their resolve. Strengthen their military. A powerful Europe will cause Russia to stand down.
Strengthen the Ukraine’s ingenuity. In the spiritual realm move powerfully against the Russian leadership. Frustrate their plans. Break apart their military industry. Throw their military leadership into confusion. Sweep the Russians, Chinese and North Koreans off Ukraine land. Throw a wall of protection around Ukraine military and their people. Turning the tide of war in Ukraine against their alliance will give China, Russia and North Korean reason to pause in their aggression. A Ukraine win will shake them to their foundations and cause them to doubt their military abilities and make them afraid of looking foolish.
Wake up MAGA. Wake up the Intercessors. If there is war, it is because they failed to line up with you but instead prayed their own agenda.
End the confusion in America. Give America leadership that is focused and wise. Give America leaders that are not deceived but can see into the heart of Russian, Chinese and North Korean leadership and understand their true motives. Sweep out all leadership that is focused on promoting themselves. Move forward military leaders who are filled with knowledge of military strategy and who are so bold and powerful that they intimidate Russia and China. Remove those that lack the maturity to lead. Strengthen America’s military industry. Let the resources and leadership come quickly together. Strengthen our ability to manufacture naval ships. Strengthen our ability to manufacture hypersonic missiles quickly and in large numbers. Since there is no time for the “Golden Dome’ to be built, throw the Russia and China missile capability into confusion and raise up wise leaders that can put together a strategy using our present technology.

May the Holy Spirit continue to move even more mightily in both PRC China & Taiwan, & prevent the aggression!
May secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth have wisdom and clarity from God, direction, Grace to understand what our previous commitments to the welfare of Taiwan are and how to uphold what those commitments mean. May he stand in the gap for Taiwan through prayer for direction according to Godās will for America and Taiwan. The Bible says that āGod governs in the affairs of man.ā. I ask for your government to be revealed Lord on behalf of the people of Taiwan in our responsibilities to be dictated by you.
It is very obvious that China is trying to take over the world (just like the Islamists are also) unless some entity (such as the U.S.) stands squarely in its way. There is NO hope in negotiations with them. They will Lie, lie, lie!
YHVH, we yield up to You this major concern in Asia. Chinese aggression toward Taiwan and beyond is a possibility, and has long been threatened. We pray that nothing beyond the scope and timing of Your divine will be allowed. We lift up our precious brothers and sisters in both China and Taiwan. May they be salt and light to penetrate their nations with the unadulterated Gospel – for You will that none perish, but all come to eternal life. May whosoever will come.
Go in any store and look at the product label showing the country of manufacture. Virtually all products are made in China. Buyers of chinese made products are funding China’s military build up. Pres. Trump must tariff all chinese made poor quality products heavily to bring manufacturing back to US soil. I support higher income tax rates on the wealthy to discourage wealthy decision makers from importing slave labor products to be sold to Americans and profiting off blood money. Cut off the money to China now and stop the build up of its military using American dollars. Request your law makers in Congress to require country of origin labeling of ALL products sold in the United States, especially medicines.
Taiwan only 2% of populations are Christian, most of the people there are worshipping false gods. Lord have mercy on Taiwan, please take away the veil on people’ eyes, open their eyes, let them see the true light, let gospel reach their hearts, wake them up from ignorance and superstition. Thank you. And strengthen the Christians there, increase their English speaking ability and connect them to other countries’ Christians. Thank You. In Jesus name. Amen.
