A federal judge has temporarily stopped the Trump administration from canceling Harvard University’s student visa programs in a bid to “preserve the status quo.”

Harvard filed suit against the Trump administration over the policy, and a judge granted its request for a temporary restraining order to preserve status quo while the case plays out in court.
Judge Allison Burroughs, a 2014 Obama appointee, set a hearing for 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Boston federal court.
Harvard said the policy will affect more than 7,000 visa holders — nearly a quarter of the student body — and is a “blatant violation of the First Amendment, the Due Process Clause, and the Administrative Procedure Act,” per its court filing.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) moved to terminate the program after Harvard allegedly failed to provide it with the extensive behavioral records of student visa holders the department requested. DHS offered Harvard 72 hours on Thursday to come into compliance with the request and re-enter into the visa program.
This is part of the larger judicial pushback against President Trump, and Harvard’s lawsuit is only the latest attempt to “kneecap the President’s constitutionally vested powers under Article II,” according to DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
Considering this lawsuit is being played out in Boston, we may see a final ruling against the President. There is a chance this case will join the growing list of anti-Trump lawsuits before the Supreme Court, though even the high court’s rulings have been hit-or-miss in recent weeks.
For now, let’s pray. Let’s pray for an end to these senseless attacks against our President, and let’s pray for accountability and reform in Harvard.

It is a good thing that Trump is not winning all of his cases in the Supreme Court. He is testing the limits of Presidential power. The power of the President needs to be limited so that future Presidents cannot wreak unmitigated havoc. Imagine what a future President Obama would try if President Trump won all his cases.
This is all happening because we have professors and faculty in our so called prestrigious universities who despise America and its founders principals to give citizens primary safety and rights as American citizens first place. They need to be terminated as teaching lies against America and its people.
YHVH, this battle for the hearts and minds of the younger generation is really what grips my heart in these situations. The battle between our current administration and the elites who wish to rule illegitimately may be necessary, and we do desire a righteous outcome. However, the picture I see is like a group of parents squabbling over who has greater authority, while their children are wandering out onto a busy and dangerous highway. Our elitist institutions, and not just in education, have become hotbeds of anarchy and wicked ideology. I cry out to You, YHVH, because You and You alone can bring salvation, deliverance, and a purpose for living to our children who have fallen prey to the lies and deceit of the enemy. We need You to move mightily on their behalf. Please forgive us where we have failed them, and enable us to make restitution where we are able.
The judge needs to be disbarred and removed from the bench immediately. These rogue federal judges tolerating this garbage are part of the “swamp” and need to go. Now who will file with the federal bar to have this judge removed??? Wimps.
Imagine that you are a Harvard graduate student, studying Physics, let’s say. You may be completely unpolitical, as a lot of science students from less-developed countries are. Then one day the US administration issues a mandate that would require you to leave your school, your friends, your research within three months, just because your university administration is slow-walking government requests for information. Would you feel worried or vulnerable? Could the judge, by pausing this order, be giving the university time to work things out so that you didn’t have to leave? Please think about issues like this before yelling, Get rid of the judge!
God, we lift up the Trump administration before You. We ask You to protect our President from all lawfare attacks and to bring reform and change to schools like Harvard.
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You humbly in the mighty name of Jesus, who had to deal with constant opposition during His time here on this eart. The growing hatred towards Him grew despite the fact that He was doing goo, but all the good He did was going against the establishment.
I pray the Holy Spirit to hover over President Trump and his administration. I ask Him to give everyone who is fighting Your battle to have great DISCNMENT, WISDOM, TRUTH, to do everything in RIGHTEOUSNESS, LOVE, and to make as their goal PEACE and JUSTICE. What gives these judges the right to do these senseless attacks upon President Trump? Why do they think that they have the power to overturn Presidential actions? Lord Jesus, You are President Trump’s Vindicator. By Your grace, please, bring this senseless litigation nonsense to an abrupt halt. Thank you Jesus.

There is a fine line between genius and insanity. It seems to me that President Trump always wants to be the center of attention, and this personality trait may gain strength as he ages. Ecclesiastes 4:13 warns us against “an old and foolish king, who no longer knows how to receive instruction.”
Conversely, I am glad God has raised up President Trump against institutions such as Harvard University, which was founded by Christians, but has turned away from the truth.
I am so sad, That Harvard did NOT have Christian men and women in charge, authority over this college. For years, they pursued their god of MONEY. Allowing professors, teachers of other countries teach our students of their godless rules, regular. Bribery thur giving them $1000000000000, so they can control this college and teach our children to hate the Jews, and the US. It is NOT the young adults fault, students, but the adults fault.
Now, President Trump is trying to reverse their laws, rules, and regulations, trying to correct their teaching, and because it gives Harvard, pain, and lose their evil money, Harvard goes to court. So I am asking, in Jesus’s name, to CORRECT HARVARD, NOW. I pray for no long court battle, from HARVARD and from the numerous people and organizations. May Jesus quickly give them their due punishment. May Jesus’s will be done at Harvard, NOW. May ALL the lies, evil, hidden agendas from Harvard be vomited on the high authorities yard, porch, in front of tge TV newsreporters.

I for one would like to know where these liberal Judges get the idea that just because someone is in the USA, legally or not, that IS NOT a US citizen, that the individual therefore has all the rights and privileges of a US Citizen.
Perhaps one of these Liberals could point it out in our Constitution!

IMHO this is like letting the person accused of murder, select his own Jurors of his peers to to hear the case.
There is a federal bar association and your members of Congress who can initiate actions to remove federal judges. Everyone is hot air and no action. Write your Congressman and the federal bar association, demanding by name these federal judges who need to be investigated for their actions and be removed from office and disbarred. “Judge shopping” is unethical as hell and those participating in it need to be disbarred and removed from the practice of law.
I have read Article II in the Constitution. I do not see where this applies. Would someone care to enlighten me? Certainly the behavior of foreign students in the U.S. is a concern, and should be looked into. The issue seems to be Harvard’s willingness to do this. I pray that this will be handled in the best way for our country.
This is absolutely criminal from this Judge. Legal immigrants have to go through an extreme security clearances and proofs for a long time before they can receive even a green card , especially after the 9/11.
There has to be a justice and respect for this system , and to begin from the universities where this horrow is increasing. It will be then justice to all , and specially to the good students who can be able to STUDY in the universities without this terror.
Harvard is out of compliance, and in so being, is allowing dangerous ideology to fester and grow. Having a student body composed of 25% aliens – what’s that about, other than financial gain? Why this huge number? And are they vetted for political extremism before entering one of our most prestigious universities? And what is the vetting process for their professors?

Lord, I pray, in the name of Jesus, and rebuke any power, contract, scheme or strategy of the enemy being used to undermine our nation. I pray that believers within your Church and all people would have eyes of enlightenment to see the spiritual battle st hand. I pray that every concerned individual would pray and rise up to follow You in righteousness and fear of God. I pray that all funds to all these universities and institutions would be cut off by donors and dried up until they return to the Biblically based charters under which they started. Thank you God for the honorable founders who sought to give students a godly education. May those intentions be restored by your mighty hand of justice. These students being affected by Trumps order are not US Citizens and therefore are not eligible to the rights that are granted to US Citizens. They are guests in our country and should behave like guests or get out. They have no right to abuse our laws and hospitality. Send them home now.
Mr. Trump needs to show his “chutzpah” with these judges; load the planes now and take off, once in international airspace the judges’ orders no longer have effect. The Harvard student traitors need to be deported, notice or no notice, hearing or no hearing, etc. Set an example Mr. Trump, show these traitors you know how to put out the trash.
