Another State Permits Assisted Suicide
Unfortunately, assisted suicide is on the rise around the world. In the United States, Delaware Governor Matt Meyer signed a bill to legalize assisted suicide in some cases, making his state the eleventh to sign this practice into law.

From The Hill:
āThis law is about compassion, dignity, and respect,ā Meyer said in a statement. āIt gives people facing unimaginable suffering the ability to choose peace and comfort, surrounded by those they love.ā
Under the new law, which takes effect next year, adult, mentally-capable patients who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and are expected to die within six months can request and self-administer medication to end their lives.
Delaware joins 10 other states ā California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont and Washington ā and Washington, D.C., which already have similar laws, commonly referred to under the phrases ādeath with dignityā or āmedical aid in dying.ā
The Hill also notes that many are opposing this new law. The National Right to Life, for example, said the legislation “puts our most vulnerable members of society at risk.”
As intercessors, we know that life has inherent value from the womb to the tomb. The push for assisted suicide is just another way the Enemy is attacking the Image of God within us.
At this point, just over 20% of the nation has legalized assisted suicide. Let’s pray it stops here and that Americans once again recognize the inherent and immeasurable value present in all lives!

God, help our legislators and our people honor life- from the womb to the tomb. Lord you give life and you take it away. No one else should.
Doctors can only guess, GOD is the only one who knows when life begins and when life will end. As a nurse I have seen this happen. Please do not buy into the lie “you would be better off dead”.
