Patel Says the FBI Is Leaving D.C.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel announced his bureau will be leaving the nation’s capital late last week, although he didn’t say where the bureau’s next headquarters would be.
Find out when your state prays.
From Daily Caller:
Patel said the FBI is leaving the J. Edgar Hoover Building in an interview with Fox Businessā Maria Bartiromo, according to a clip posted on X.
…
āThis FBI is leaving the Hoover building,ā he stated. āThis building is unsafe for our workforce.ā
…
āWe want the American men and women to know if you are going to come work at the premier law enforcement agency in the world, we are going to give you a building that is commensurate with that and that is not this place,ā Patel continued.
On a related note, the FBI Director said that many of the bureau’s agents previously located in the D.C. area will be moved elsewhere.
Patel also noted in the interview that theĀ FBIĀ will transfer many of its D.C. employees to other places in the country.
āLook, the FBI is 38,000 when we are fully manned, which we are not,ā he said. āIn the national capital regionāin the 50 mile radius around Washington, D.C., there were 11,000 FBI employees. That is like a third of the workforce. A third of the crime does not happen here. So we are taking 1,500 of those folks and moving them out.ā
These actions seem to line up with Director Patel’s previously stated goals. Daily Caller notes that he “has previously advocated for āshutting downā the D.C. headquarters and reorienting the FBI toward catchingĀ criminals.”

We have prayed for years for the FBI to be less political. Now that it is leaving the political swamp that is D.C., we pray the bureau would return to its roots and focus on protecting Americans!

Lord, I pray that you will make a way to make the FBI transition to other locations easy. It has been needed for a long time. Since crime is not just in D.C. The American people will feel more secure. Give FBI Director Kash Patel guidance and wisdom in making the decision. In Jesus’ name
