Intercessor, have you heard of EPIC City? This 400-acre “all-Islamic” community in Texas has attracted criticism from around the nation.
Join others crying out to the Lord day and night.
In a recent article, the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) shares more about this community:
According to EPIC City’s website, the development, which the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) announced in 2024, will be “a community aimed at serving the needs of the Muslim community” that “brings Islam to the forefront.” It will feature 1,000 homes, a K-12 Islamic school, a mosque, apartments, health centers, commercial shopping, and even a community college – in theory, residents won’t ever have to leave the compound.
While EPIC City initially garnered little media attention, local residents and online influencers have thrust it into the spotlight. Amy Mek, founder of the organization Resistance Against Islamic Radicals (RAIR), has been a particularly vocal critic, posting footage from community meetings of Texans opposed to the project.
In one clip Mek posted on X earlier this month, a woman who identifies herself as the daughter of a Guatemalan immigrant explains why she believes it is wrong that the developers of EPIC City are aiming to create an Islamic compound separate from the rest of the community.
“We didn’t come here to build a Guatemalan Catholic compound,” she said. “We assimilated. We became American. Why is EPIC building a city where everything is Islamic – the school, the mosque, the fitness center, even the medical clinic? That’s not diversity. That’s ideological takeover. This is not okay with the American people.”
As AMAC notes, concerned citizens and elected officials alike have taken issue with this community. Governor Greg Abbott, Attorney General Ken Paxton, and Senator John Cornyn have all spoken out against the community.
The biggest fear for many is that EPIC City will adopt Sharia law, a harsh “system of Islamic religious principles derived from the Quran,” according to AMAC. Sharia law has been used in Islamic nations to harm or even kill those who run afoul of Islam’s moral code, earning condemnation from human rights organizations around the world. Some are reporting that EPIC has already created a “Sharia-controlled enclave.”
Additionally, as AMAC notes, EPIC City seems to be the “antithesis” of the “nation of immigrants” and “melting pot” that is America. The articles notes that:
Assimilation and integration are critical for the successful migration of peoples to America. The melting pot only works when all Americans, no matter how long they have been here, embrace being part of one shared society.
EPIC City should concern all who value America’s Christian identity and heritage. Let’s pray that Sharia law and Islam would have no place in our nation!

Dear Heavenly Father, we pray You will first of all reveal the one who sold this property to these perpetrators who knows you , our true God of love and compassion and that they will be held responsible too. We asked if you remove this evil trying to infiltrate our Land and wherever it’s dark head tries to infiltrate our blessed country you gave us- the land of the free and the brave. Reveal your Holy Spirit and dwell in each one of the hearts of these people that call themselves Islam in this community and in some way reveal your holy Spirit to them so they too will know the one true God and your will and your Justice be done.

Muslims are quietly establishing Islamic enclaves all over America where hate, supremacy, and jihad are promulgated. This islamic ‘city’ is an outrage and we will soon find ourselves overrun by muslims in our large cities, just like Europe. They have already taken over Dearborn, Michigan and no-go zones are coming to a town near you. Beware this predatory, bellicose death cult. Muslims are not here to assimilate, they are here to conquer. Laugh if you find my comments preposterous but I promise you won’t be laughing when they start enforcing islamic law and demanding special privileges for their vile religion. Yes, religious freedom is guaranteed under our Constitution but the Constitution is not a suicide pact.
Dear Heavenly Father, You have seen those who love you, honor you, worship and obey you through time from Adam to the present. Our country was established to continue that legacy to worship only one true God. You have instructed your people to eradicate tribes who worship false gods and idols. Instruct us today and give us back our nation as you intended it. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen
I believe people should assimilate. Yet during life I have seen time and time again people’s desire to be separate, my immediate thought is they should be allowed to make their compound but should be shunned from the country in all forms as they can go back to their beloved country and live their in a different area if they fled war. So I have some feelings about this . I believe people should practice who they have been taught to be but in America we learn to be discreet to assimilate and we learn these ways that America has so bravely put in their foundations so we can live and be productive to have a certain amount of reserve without being discriminatory is possible and we have been doing it for years in this country. Good luck to them as I feel America don’t like that it’s always been United we Stand and we look at others with open minds and curiosity but if they don’t want to be here why are they here.
The Islamists have a plan. At 10%, do this, at 20%, do that. At 50+%, take over the neighborhood and establish Sharia. The trouble with this tact is that when a non-Muslim moves into this neighborhood, he/she finds that the First Amendment no longer applies. What?
If Islamists want to do their own thing, then that might be all right IF they allow non-Muslims to have their own opinions. Oh, the Islamists could discuss the “benefits” of Islam, but if the non-Muslim is not convinced, then they have NO right to limit his/her freedoms.
Each State as well as the Federal Gov’t needs to pass Laws that prohibit and condemn Sharia Law to be imposed on any American. The only way to stop this radical Religion from spreading is to Stop Sharia from taking hold. The main reason Muslims have come to America is to take over and inforce their Religion on us none Muslims They are looking for World domination by force if necessary! May God help us!

Father, this type of community is against the constitution of the united states, where it says there can be no other nation within our nation.
Oh Father God, this is the activity of Your enemy! Islam is a danger to the world, because it is fueled by satanic influences. It is not just “another religion”, but an ideology that targets the world! I cry out to You that the elected leadership in Texas would investigate and dismantle this effort to establish an Islamic stronghold in Texas. It’s happening in other parts of the country as well, Lord…it seems as if their plans go unthwarted, unexposed, and left to grow like a cancer in one area after another. Lord God, hosanna! Save now! Save this nation from the spiritual enemy called Islam. The battle is in the heavenlies, we know, and we call upon the Captain of the Lord’s armies to stand up and give orders to release righteousness, wisdom, and authority to those who are called to fight on the ground! There is NO Place for Muslim Rule In America.
So sad and concerning – people come here for the freedom we have and then turn around and recreate what they came from – a repressive, non-diverse, enslaved way of life with no allowance for any difference of opinion, views, thought, speech, actions – AND – they want to expand this very anti-American way of life to include us by infiltrating our government by gaining positions in government, as they already have, and then dismantling our Constitution from within. When I go to another country, I expect to abide by their rules and laws – not abolish them. People that come here should abide by and support our founding principles and freedoms or go somewhere else. We ARE a Christian nation – that’s our history and our heritage. That’s what made us the successful nation we have been. We should not be forced to abandon what has made us free and prosperous in the past (our inalienable rights given to us by God not government) because there are those who want to destroy our country and our way of life which values the individual and values life because we are created in God’s image and God values life and us! As a nation we do not have to tolerate, to accept and to enable those who want to destroy our country, our constitution and us. Dear Lord, Thank you that Governor Abbott has his eyes wide open and had stopped this. We pray you’d give him wisdom as he continues the fight against Sharia Law in America. We pray you would save Muslims but we also pray that You’d save Americans. Let our government and a clear message to the Muslim world that you’re not establishing your will here. If you don’t assimilate, you can leave. Help us to be welcoming but require assimilation.
I have heard of a similar plan from an acquaintance, in Tampa. Fl. It’s one thing to come to America, but comming here to radicalize closed communities is another; lets put an end to their hidden agendas; Beware faithful God loving Americans who stand against the antichrist spirit.
I pray more will step up to stop this process with an open door for them to return to their home land if they do not wish to become an American and follow the laws of this land. There are more communities like this in Michigan I have heard. Very concerning.

This is dangerous and certainly not pleasing to God Almighty! We need to stand firm against this in our prayers. This is America which was founded by Christians wanting religious freedom. Anything that opposes what God instructs in His Word and through the Holy Spirit should be resisted strongly in our prayers. If we give an inch, Islam will take a mile. Pray, pray, pray against this.
Jesus, This is compromising You and Your Word by enabling and tolerating worship of demonic allah! This also may allow sex trafficking and slave labor for women who will not be allowed to leave this isolated city! These Islam believers may try to expand Islam into other parts of our beloved USA! Soon we will have to make little communities of America again.
Those people should be stripped of their citizenship and deported. When they come to America they are supposed to assimilate into the American Culture. They are not supposed to create a city separate from Americans and establish their own culture and schools. This is 100% against the Constitution of the United States. This is what the Cartels do in Mexico. They will soon want to secede from the Union or Texas and create their own state or country. Then they will want special Representation in Congrss and the Senate just like the Muslims do here. This is just the beginning.
We as believers should be praying Psalms 1 & 2 over this great nation that God would remove those who are not for Him and bless those who are for His Word to be preached across this great nation. Pray Psalm 1 and Psalm 2 over us all in this America!
