In a recently released memo, the Department of Defense stated it will no longer provide sex-change treatments, surgeries, or medication for troops who identify as transgender and/or suffer from gender dysphoria (GD).

“Within the direct care component, meaning at military medical treatment facilities … Service members and all other covered beneficiaries 19 years of age or older may only receive mental health care and counseling for GD,” Dr. Stephen L. Ferrara, acting assistant secretary of defense for health affairs, said in the memo, which is dated May 9.

“Apart from consults for the diagnosis of GD and provision of mental health care and counseling … staff will refer all other care (e.g., cross-sex hormone therapy) for GD to the private sector.”

This comes amid a crackdown on transgenderism in the military and the federal government at large. President Trump has used his second term to push back against the trans movement, signing executive orders to ban trans troops from the military and to protect children from trans treatments. The former order was held up by an injunction, although the Supreme Court recently lifted the injunction and allowed the order to go into effect.

This memo also serves as an answer to our prayers, counteracting a memo released late last month that promised paid-for sex-change surgeries for service members. Praise God!

As the trans movement continues to deceive more and more people with its lies, let’s ask God to protect the men, women, and children of America from its lies. And let’s pray for the Trump administration as it stands against transgenderism. Let’s pray for wisdom and boldness!
