For years, Americans have struggled to pay premium prices for lifesaving medications, all while other nations received the same drugs for lower prices. With President Trump’s newest executive order, however, that will soon change.
From The Daily Wire. President Donald Trump on Monday morning signed an executive order to significantly reduce pharmaceutical drug prices for Americans.

The directive, Trump stressed, will bring fairness to Americans and cut out āthe middlemenā to bring prices down so citizens will start to pay prices comparable to other developed nations. …
By implementing a policy called āMost Favored Nation,ā Trump said the U.S. is āgonna pay the lowest price there is in the world. Weāre no longer paying ten times more than another country.ā
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was with Trump at a press conference on Monday morning, said that other nations, particularly those in the European Union, must chip in for research and development. Kennedy said raising their prices by just 20% would dramatically reduce costs in the United States.
Trump teased the executive order Sunday night on Truth Social, saying it would reduce prices by up to 80%.

During Trumpās first term, he introduced a regulation for certain cancer drugs and others to be the same price as they were abroad. The Biden administration, however,Ā abandoned the regulation after a court struck it down on procedural grounds. …
The order follows another directive signed by Trump on May 5, which seeks to reduce the regulatory burden on the domestic production of critical medicines. …

This is a rather bold, yet necessary move on the part of president Trump.. Lord Jesus, I thank You that we have a President that has the interests of the everyday people as a priority. I pray that this Executive Order will bear fruit. Big Pharma has ripped off the people in this nation for far too long. I pray , Lord, that this is only a beginning of greater things to come to pass in our nation. Thank you Jesus.
Great! Now make it into law and remove the liability protections from pharma corporations so that they are liable for all their products including vaccines when they harm, maim, and kill people!

This really touched me personally because I take meds myself and it’s ridiculous to rob people of medications when don’t take but a fraction to make, I’m glad that President Donald Trump stood up to them. Thank You God.

In addition to cutting prices on pharmaceuticals, I pray that the domestic production of critical medicines would increase exponentially. That is not something for which we want to be dependent on other nations. Thank You Lord for each victory!!
Thank You, Lord for someone with the courage to do what is right and needed instead of appeasing the status quo and putting big pharma’s interests before those of the average citizen. Trump has sacrificed a lot to fight the good fight for freedom and less government intervention in our private lives. The private sector needs to increase and government needs to decrease which would mean a corresponding decrease in taxes which fund all these government programs which we become dependent on but with less taxes we could afford to take care of ourselves rather than depend on government. Hopefully the prescription benefit managers (PBM’s) who do nothing to benefit the public while their salaries get tacked on the cost of prescription medicine go away. Americans want fair pricing for any product. Unnecessary “overhead” costs on medicines such as PBM’s have to go. Who is behind these “PBM’s”? Insurance companies sticking the public with the bill for more overhead? The politicians don’t care. Pres. Trump cares.

I have a 92 year old mother with atrial fibrillation who is fighting the system for the drug Eliquis. This drug costs up to over $1,000 per month. This is a disgrace. This drug is just one of many that our people are being taken advantage of…for example insulin. I am thrilled to see this EO as things have got to change. It is heartbreaking to see people having to choose between eating or their medications.
This is absolutely true. My husband is a medicare salesman and he encounters people like this all the time- having to cost between medications and food. This is a disgrace in the United States of America. Thank you God, for changing it and revealing ways that the world has been taking advantage of us. Please continue to do so.

Thank you so much President Trump. Iām on two insulins. And they are so expensive plum Iām on several other meds which are not cheap at all. By the time I pay for all these meds I can barely afford groceries. I have voted for you since 2016 because I truly believe in you
