Over the weekend, President Trump announced his intent to rebuild and reopen Alcatraz. The President plans to use the infamous prison to hold the nation’s “most ruthless and violent offenders.” What do you think of this plan?
From Fox News. President Donald Trump is calling for the notorious prison and now historical landmark, Alcatraz, in San Francisco, California, to be rebuilt larger and reopened to house the country’s most ruthless and violent criminals.

Trump made the announcement in a Truth Social post on Sunday evening.
“REBUILD, AND OPEN ALCATRAZ!” the president said. “For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat Criminal Offenders, the dregs of society, who will never contribute anything other than Misery and Suffering. …
Trump said he is directing the Bureau of Prisons, Department of Justice, FBI and Department of Homeland Security to reopen a “substantially enlarged and rebuilt” Alcatraz, “to house America’s most ruthless and violent offenders.”
“We will no longer be held hostage to criminals, thugs, and Judges that are afraid to do their job and allow us to remove criminals, who came into our Country illegally,” he said in the post. “The reopening of ALCATRAZ will serve as a symbol of Law, Order, and JUSTICE. We will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Alcatraz opened in 1934, but the prison, located on a 22-acre spit of rock, was shuttered after 29 years. …

I sense that this plan is not of God. What is wrong with the prisons that already exist? Aren’t they safe enough to protect society from society’s most dangerous criminals?
This seems like a plan of the enemy to reopen Alcatraz, and I suspect that the prison could eventually be used to house political prisoners. Plus, I think we should, probably most importantly, think about the people who will need to be employed there. It doesn’t seem like the most friendly place for the prison employees (wardens, guards, cafeteria workers), and so on, to be working. We should think about their working conditions.
I have to say that this is a waste of tax payers money.
I asked that you relocate the prisoners to another location, such as in the desert and not in the middle of our cities.
Instead of spending the money to fix up Alcatraz, which we the taxpayers will have to pay for. These violent criminals needs to be executed, and they don’t need to be on death row for many years either at our expense.
I agree, Kelly, but simply because YHVH Himself, made it clear that there are criminal offenses that should be dealt with by capital punishment – intentional murder and kidnaping for example. It is far more humane than life sentences. It also cleanses our land of the blood-guilt we incur as a nation when we do not justly punish the shedding of innocent blood.
An excellent idea ! However, before opening an enlarged and constitutionally protected Alcatraz, new LAW clearly defining the role it must play in Keeping America Safe Again ( KASA ) and predefeating the USAs’ plethora of litigation lawyers who will absolutely attempt to undermine and defeat any and all of President Trumps’ clearly necessary projects.
Perhaps also a Law outlawing anti-Trump “Lawyers” alongside KASA would certainly make some of those parasites think twice before remaing a “Bad Actor” in the (IN)Justice System.
