President Trump is suggesting cutting income tax for many Americans as a way to ease the pain caused by tariffs. What do you think of this idea?
From The Hill. President Trump floated a new income tax cut Sunday as a way to mitigate the impact of his sweeping tariffs, which polls show Americans increasingly believe will lead to higher prices.

“When Tariffs cut in, many people’s Income Taxes will be substantially reduced, maybe even completely eliminated,” Trump wrote in a post Sunday on his Truth Social platform.
“Focus will be on people making less than $200,000 a year,” he continued. …
The comments echo previous suggestions from the president about potentially getting rid of federal income tax altogether and replacing it with tariffs or other levies. Some economists have raised questions about the feasibility of generating sufficient revenue through tariffs.
Trump announced several waves of tariffs since taking office in January, including a 10 percent baseline and higher “reciprocal” tariffs on individual nations. Those higher tariffs on dozens of countries were paused to let nations try to make deals to avoid facing the steep levies. …

Father GOD, I pray for President Trump. Here is what I want to happen in 2025 as in Habakkuk instruction. Take people that are capable of working off public assistance and go to work. Get rid of the IRS; and their scare tactics. Social Security payments go ONLY for people that have worked hard all their lives and payed in to the system. If taxes must be paid, make it a flat tax that EVERYONE pays. And finally, get rid of the shadow government tearing our country apart; and bring revival like the world has never witnessed before. I pray in the name of Jesus!

Father, grant the President and his cabinet wisdom regarding tax cuts, tariffs, and other major decisions. I ask that our legislators would become pro-active in these matters and create new laws that address these issues. I pray that our leaders would turn to You, Father, for direction, wisdom, and for knowing just what to do and what not to do. Thank You. Amen.
In our efforts to straighten and strengthen our own individual household financial situations it can mean sacrifice, dedication, focus and patience…we’re talking about a nation.
It matters not who was the greatest offenders that brought these United States to the place it’s in…we’re here and we must agree to fix it or lose everything.
I agree with the POTUS to correct it and have a solvent, strong and prosperous nation.

At the young age of 80 I have been preparing income tax returns for over 55 years. Since I have been preparing taxes the tax code has changed so much it is hard keeping up with it. I think doing away with it or limiting it to over 200,000 would be wonderful. People work hard during their lives and when they retire they struggle to pay their taxes. I say DO AWAY WITH THE INCOME TAX.

WE HAVE TO ALLOW TIME FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP’S IDEAS TO WORK. THIS COUNTRY HAS BEEN DEVASTATED AND NOT IN 100 DAYS BUT DECADES AND IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO SEE THE BENEFITS. HE IS ONE OF THE CHOSEN ONES AND HE IS GUIDED BY GOD. WE MUST PRAY THAT HE BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE HIS WORK TO SAVE THIS NATION.
