Katherine Abughazaleh has an interesting background. Her paternal grandfather came from Jerusalem to study in the US and eventually settled and raised his family in Dallas. It was there her dad met her mom, who is a 7th generation Texan. She was born into an affluent, conservative and Republican family and credits her “change” to a move from a private school to one where many of the students enrolled were undocumented and low income. She turned 26 last month.

Dear Heavenly Father, You know everything about this young woman. You watched as she was being knitted together in her mother’s womb. You ordained each of Katherine’s days before she lived her first. I believe You can uproot whatever created the change in her life. Will You? I believe You can direct her to speak, see, hear, smell, feel, walk and live the days You planned all those years ago. I believe You can, will You? I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life needed to make the change we all so desperately need. Amen
