Byron Donalds has announced his intention to run for governor of Florida, immediately receiving a key endorsement from the President. What do you think of his candidacy?
From Fox News. Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., announced plans to run for Florida governor next year during an interview on Fox News’ “Hannity” Tuesday night.

The next Florida gubernatorial election is slated for Nov. 3, 2026. Speaking to host Sean Hannity, Donalds said he came to the decision to run “after a lot of prayer [and] a lot of thoughts with my family and my friends.”
“Sean, we have a wonderful state,” Donalds said. “I got to Florida when I was 17 years old, off of a Greyhound bus with just a trunk full of clothes. And over the rest of my time in Florida, I built a family, I built a career. … I was able to serve four years in a state legislature, four years in Congress.
“And I think now is the time to now take the mantle and lead our state into the future.” …
Donalds was endorsed by President Donald Trump, who recently wrote that his fellow Sunshine State resident “would be a truly Great and Powerful Governor for Florida.”
“I am hearing that Highly Respected Congressman Byron Donalds is considering running for Governor of Florida, a State that I love, and WON BIG in 2016, 2020, and 2024,” a Trump social media post said.
“[S]hould he decide to run, [Donalds] will have my Complete and Total Endorsement. RUN, BYRON, RUN!” …

perhaps Trump shares a propensity to place his story on top of other’s experience. I am praying God will show him the danger of being so alive to his own reputation that he forgets he is OUR representative.
As I hear him, and I agree he is aiming for good plans to restore USA, it would go a long way to increasing the reliability of his leadership regarding OUR welfare if he was shown to be less aware of his image and more aware that it is the One God who needs him to listen to God’s interests first. second and then third to advisors and the people of America
As a part of the Flashpoint army I have seen Donalds is a godly man who is committed to the MAGA movement. God is raising up mighty leaders, and I pray Donalds prospers in all his ways.
Byran is one smart man. I believe he has the skill and integrity to govern the state of Florida. He is honest and straight forward.
I don’t have any personal knowledge of Rep. Donalds, but pray that YHVH would prosper him in his gubernatorial bid in Florida if that is His leading. In all things, Your will be done, Lord. I pray blessing on those willing to throw their hats into the ring in order to truly serve our states and nation.
Byron is a man of integrity, God fearing and an excellent candidate for Governor of Florida, we will be praying for God’s anointing on his life as he moves into the next phase of his life in politics! God bless him and his family! So happy Mr. Trump is endorsing him too!
I pray God’s Spirit, protection, provision, wisdom, will fill and surround Mr. Donaldson’s life and his family. That he would be a man after God’s own heart, filled with power from on high. May he prosper in everything he puts his hands out to do.
If Ron DeSantis does not plan to run again for Governor of Florida, then i wish Byron Donalds the best. But if Ron DeSantis will be running for governor of Florida, i will fully support Govenor DeSantis.
It would have been helpful had this article mentioned that Ron DeSantis was ineligible to run in 2026 due to term limits. Gov. DeSantis has done an excellent job in Florida during the time he has served, upholding many Christian values.
