We’ve been praying the Psalms for America, and today we are going to continue that by praying specifically for the Department of Justice, asking the Lord to move in our justice system as a whole.

As more corruption and crimes are coming to light, we need the Lord’s help.

We need Him to bring not only clarity on who has done what, but also to bring justice for the crimes committed. It is not God’s way—and it is not good for our nation or for us—for these crimes to continue going without consequences.

Look at what the Lord commanded Israel in Deuteronomy 16:18-20:

You shall appoint judges and officers in all your gates, which the Lord your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment. You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous. You shall follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which the Lord your God is giving you (Deuteronomy 16:18-20 NKJV).

Like Israel of old, we need our nation’s justice system to be straightforward, unbiased, and purified from all corruption.

But, the systemic corruption that is coming to light makes it evident that only God can make these changes! Therefore, as we pray from Psalm 10 below, let’s lift up our justice system to the Lord.

First, take a moment to read Psalm chapter 10. Then, based on that chapter, let’s pray together as follows:

• Pray for the Lord’s protection over Pam Bondi, the newly-appointed United States Attorney General, and all her key staff whom the wicked would love to remove.
• Pray that the wicked would be caught in their own plots which they have devised.
• Ask the Lord to use our justice system to deliver the helpless from the hands of the wicked.
• Pray that the Lord would dispatch His angel armies to defend and liberate the helpless who are oppressed by the wicked.
• Ask the Lord to lift up His hand on behalf of the humble in America.
• Ask the Lord to repay by His own hand all the trouble and grief that the righteous have suffered, particularly in recent years.
• Pray that those who have been falsely imprisoned or persecuted—such as any innocent political prisoners, or those who have been imprisoned for peacefully demonstrating outside abortion clinics—would receive healing and restoration from the Lord for their bodies, hearts, minds, lives, and families.
• Ask the Lord to rise up and show Himself as the Helper of the fatherless in America: to find and deliver children from trafficking; to defend the preborn; and to protect the innocent.
• Pray that the leaders of our justice system (and all government leaders, for that matter) would be humble. Ask the Lord for an outpouring of His Spirit of humility in Washington DC, and in every statehouse around the country.
• Pray that the Lord would prepare the hearts and ears of all government leaders to hear His voice and obey it.
• Ask the Lord to bring forth justice and righteousness, which are the foundations of His throne, in America.

But, don’t stop there! Let’s also pray these additional items over the justice system:

• Pray that Attorney General Pam Bondi would have great wisdom, understanding, discretion, prudence, and knowledge from the Lord for everything she has to face and handle.
• Pray that every agent of justice in the US—from the Attorney General’s office to the smallest courthouse in the land—would be filled with the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.
• Pray that every agent of justice would have a holy fear of perverting the justice process.
• Pray that every case that needs to be brought to trial would be brought to trial—and that every case which ought NOT to be prosecuted would be dismissed quickly.
• Pray that every jury would be unbiased, and that every jury and judge would make righteous decisions in every case that is prosecuted.
• Ask the Lord to bring solutions to overcrowded prisons.
• Pray that great revival would spring forth in every jail and prison in America.
• Ask the Lord to dispatch Christian laborers into the harvest field to bear witness for Him by ministering in the prisons.

Friend, this is a time when crimes may come to light that are worse than we could ever have imagined. We need to cover the justice system and all due processes in prayer, so that the shakeup our nation is experiencing can be only for good, and not for evil.
