As President Trump prepares to take office, he and Vice President-elect JD Vance are prepared to do everything in their power to cripple Hamas. Meanwhile, Israel is in the process of negotiating a hostage release deal.

From CBN. Vice President-elect JD Vance provided further definition this weekend concerning President-elect Donald Trump’s warning to Hamas that “all hell would break loose” if the hostages held in Gaza aren’t released by Inauguration Day next Monday. Meanwhile, media reports indicate a hostage-ceasefire deal is near and awaits agreement from Hamas.

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

Speaking on Fox News Sunday, Vance stated, “It means enabling the Israelis to knock out the final couple of battalions of Hamas and their leadership. It means very aggressive sanctions and financial penalties on those who are supporting terrorist organizations in the Middle East. It means actually doing the job of American leadership.” …

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered several top security and intelligence officials to Qatar on Saturday night as the negotiations for the hostages’ release intensified. Those officials included Mossad Director David Barnea, Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar, and Maj. Gen. Nitzan Alon (ret.), according to a report in Israel Hayom.

After the first day of talks, the Israeli delegation stayed in Doha, the Qatari capital, indicating possible progress. Israel’s Channel 12 reported Monday that a deal has been finalized although Hamas remains silent about the draft. The reported draft involves a three-stage agreement for a ceasefire, an Israeli pullback from Gaza, the release of some hostages, and the freeing of Israeli-held Hamas prisoners, some with blood on their hands. …

Netanyahu spoke with President Joe Biden by phone Sunday, and the White House confirmed that the two discussed the negotiations in Qatar. The Israeli delegation met with two officials, Brett McGurk from the Biden administration and President-elect Trump’s Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff. …

I believe that CBNs article is somewhat misleading. President Trump has been telling Hamas that there will be ‘hell to pay’ if hostages are not released ahead of his inauguration. But the pressure right now has not been on Hamas but on Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel. That pressure has forced Israel – or is forcing Israel – into a terrible deal whereby they have to pay to get their hostages back and part of that payment is a ceasefire. Our government’s best stance regarding Israel is to support them and completely eliminating Hamas in Gaza and or calling for an unconditional surrender and release of all the hostages. I am very disappointed at this time that Trump is using his friendship with Israel to pressure them in what I feel is a very unholy way. May our president understand that you cannot divide the land of Israel and that it will not become a trophy for anyone but the Lord Jesus Christ. May we support Israel as a true friend and refrain from any unholy or ungodly pressure to do that which we think is the right thing. Maybe Benjamin Netanyahu said his face like Flint and be obedient to the one true God, leading Israel to possess her possessions according to Obadiah 17. May Netanyahu trust in God alone as his defender. Amen.

Lori I must agree with you but, agreement in prayer with His Word produces the answers. I confess this news made me angry but, right away I could see the devil’s plan to divide. I plan to stay in peace trusting the Lord God Almighty to sort it out. I lean on all His help to do so.
God sent me to Israel and served there for a few years. I’ve prayed with other millions of believers, with groans too deep for words over my beloved Israel, the Land of my heart. The hostages must be released!
Praying for President’s revelation and understanding to lead our great nation.

Lori, I stand in full agreement with you! I, too, want to see the hostages released, of course – but no trading terrorists for hostages, and no ceasefire until Hamas is eliminated! And no one, no human being receiving the glory – all the glory goes to YHVH!!! Hamas alone should be feeling the pressure, and Israel should be feeling the support.
I believe for all the promises to Israel YHVH is fulfilling is this day, and there are many, including the one you cited. One I love that is so fitting in this discussion is Isa. 60:18 “Violence (Hamas) will no longer be heard in your land, desolation or destruction within your borders; instead, you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.” The Hebrew word for violence is hamas! I never knew how prophetic this Scripture was when the Lord led me to choose it for my Kindergarten list of verses to memorize.  In vs. 22 it says, “I, Adonai, when the right time comes, will quickly bring it about.” I believe this is “the right time”. May we not find ourselves fighting against the Lord of Heaven’s armies!

Standing in agreement that only God determines the appropriate steps. In the book of Acts as the Gospel went forth, the sick were healed, the dead were raised and the demons were cast out. God is not in need of anything, but by His Spirit is where the true power lies. We are not to divide Israel’s land, the land which He gave them (Amos 9:15). That has already been done and did not prevent this, therefore, let us be wise as serpents and innocent as doves, not clasping hands nor coming near the door of evil. Wisdom cries aloud and God is the giver of wisdom. LORD lead Israel in the true path to take, for Your name’s sake and be our guide as we pray for her. Victory is found in obedience to You, not in subjection to man. Thank You LORD, for watching over and preserving the nation of Israel as only You can. Trusting in the One who is able. In Jesus’ mighty and faithful name, amen.
