I Prayed have prayed
Father, we thank You for protecting children in Florida from this dangerous porn site. We pray for Pornhub to be stopped in all 50 states!
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Intercessors, especially those in Florida, have been praying for this for years! Anita Lynott, IFA Florida State Prayer Leader, had this to say: “We prayed that perversion and anything that would stray away from God‘s truth, and righteousness in our state would be removed. God answered our prayers by moving mightily behind the scenes, bringing protection for the children and restoration to the state of Florida.” Amen!

From The New York Post. Pornhub is ending its tawdry services in Florida on Jan. 1, in a protest of the state’s new age-verification law.

[Pornhub] users with Florida IP addresses were presented with a special pop-up announcement on Tuesday that laid out the porn website’s plans to yank its content from the Sunshine state. …

“Did you know that your government wants you to give your driver’s license before you can access PORNHUB?,” the [announcement read]. “As crazy as that sounds, it’s true. You’ll be required to prove you are 18 years or older such as by uploading your government ID for every adult content website you’d like to access.”

The new Florida law HB3 provides online protections for minors, requiring social media platforms to prohibit underage internet users from accessing harmful material.

Age-verification via government identification is one mechanism through which the law will be enacted by the Republican-led state.

The law is considered by legal experts to be broad and sweeping and is facing legal challenges.

Florida is being sued in US District Court by Free Speech Coalition, INC., Deep Connection Technologies, INC., JFF Publications, LLC, Barry Chase, Esq, and PHE INC. …

Age verification laws for [pornographic] sites have been passed in 18 other states.

Louisiana, Utah, Mississippi, Virginia, Arkansas, Texas, Montana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Georgia have all also passed similar ID-requiring laws. …

I do not understand the argument of the litigants, arguing it’s a free speech case. It is more a case of keeping harm away from people until they are of a legal age. Our children need protection because they are still maturing. Children do not vote; they do not drive until they are well into their teens; they legally don’t partake of alcohol, nicotine, or cannabis until they reach the legal age. As Christians, we should not want to encourage our young ones to aspire to these things when they reach the age of majority. They are morally bad–well, except for voting and driving.
