Johnson Introduces New Capitol Restroom Rule
Speaker Johnson introduced a new rule on Wednesday, blocking men from women’s restrooms in the Capitol building.
From Fox News. House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., announced a new bathroom policy for the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday in response to controversy related to transgender Rep.-elect Sarah McBride, D-Del.

“All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings — such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms — are reserved for individuals of that biological sex,” Johnson said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital. “It is important to note that each Member office has its own private restroom, and unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol.” …
“Like all policies, it is enforceable,” Johnson later told reporters. “But we have single-sex facilities for a reason, and women deserve women’s only spaces. And we’re not anti anyone. We’re pro-women, and I think it’s an important policy for us to continue. It’s always been the, I guess, an unwritten policy, but now it’s in writing.”
Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., earlier this week introduced a resolution that moves to prohibit members, officers and employees of the House from using “single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex.”
Mace, who is a rape survivor, was derided by Democrats, including McBride, as a “right-wing extremist” over the resolution, but the South Carolina congresswoman doubled down on Wednesday.
She introduced another new bill to “ban biological men from using women’s private, protected facilities — such as bathrooms and locker rooms — on all federal property” across the country. …

As a sexual abuse survivor, I am thankful for this step. It has taken a lot of courage and God’s healing power to bring me back from suicidal thoughts and depression.
Most people don’t understand that when you are raped or sexually abused, the abuse can be over but the devastating effects of it. It rapes your spirit. You don’t know what it is but you aren’t the same UNTIL GOD is allowed to heal the broken spirit.
I prayer walk in the capitol building. There was a vote going on in the Senate and a transgender man was in the bathroom. God told me to not speak to anyone and get in and out. It wasn’t until I was leaving that I realized the person I was going to speak to was a guy. I had trouble going into bathrooms at the capitol and until I took back my authority in Christ I walked in fear.
So sorry for your experience, Deloris. Because of that though, you are uniquely qualified to call this out not only as a sin in YHVH’s eyes, but a blatant violation of women’s rights and security. Thank you for sharing it
We are male or female. It was chosen from our parents.
Father, thank you for this new rule protecting women. I pray this rule will be passed. And I pray for Rep.-elect Sarah McBride as she thinks about this. Bring her to repentance, Father, and to faith in you and your word. I pray for peace around this, but strength for Speaker Johnson and the House of Representatives to see the rightness of this rule!
CALLING THEIR BLUFF!!!
PRAISE THE LORD!!!
AND THANK YOU, LORD.
AMEN!!!!!
Thank you Lord for bringing this to light in the government and in all of this Nation, eradicating the agenda of darkness in the USA and all over the World in Jesus Name Amen
THANK YOU DEAR LORD GOD:
FOR A COMMON SENSE BATHROOM POLICY TO KEEP MEN OUT OF THE WOMENS REST ROOM AND VICE VERSA. HOPE IT IS PASSED AND ENFORCE RUTHLESSLY. TRANNIES SHOULDN’T BE IN THE “OTHER” BATHROOM THEY ALSO DON’T BELONG IN CONGRESS, THESE CONFUSED MENTALLY IMBALANCED PEOPLE MUSN’T BE ALLOWED TO DICTATE NATIONAL POLICY MUCH LESS BE ALLOWED TO VOTE ON WAR. THEIR MENTAL IMBALANCE IS OUT FOR ALL TO SEE. ARE YOU LOOKING?
I ASK IN JESUS’ NAME
AMEN
I thank those who are standing up for the protection of women. We shouldn’t have to spend time writing laws or regulations on who uses single sex restrooms. But I applaud those who take the protection of our morally correct citizens safety seriously.
I commend Speaker Johnson and Nancy Mace for taking this bold and courageous stance. My first reaction was the same as Jim’s – that is only as it should be!
There are quotes from movies that stir me. I don’t hold them in such high regard as I do Scripture by any means – but they invoke strong reactions in me. One of my favorites is Aragorn’s encouragement to the troops under his command when the possibility of defeat was overwhelming. As he rides back and forth in front of the army, with his sword drawn and raised, he cries out –
My brothers.
I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day.
An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down, but it is not this day!
This day we fight!
By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!
So, let’s stand, church of God – This day we fight!
I was thinking about a book when I commented on this article, which was partially inspired by this quote from the third Lord of the Rings movie – “The Return of the King”. I found it and urge anyone who may be struggling with passivity, or timidity to check it out. It is, “This Day We Fight! – Breaking the Bondage of a Passive Spirit” by Francis Frangjpane.
That’s the way it should be. It’s only common sense. Thank you Rep. Johnson!
I just love courageous people who take a stand even if it gets them in “hot water”! Rep. Nancy Mace (Rep. S.C.) and Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, are to be commended! To have the courage to change the things we can is the DUTY of every American!
Only right.
Praying for the new administration for the new policies that President Trump will put into order and that God’s will be done in everything! We need Him now more than ever!
Praying for the new administration for the new policies that President Trump will put in the order and that God will be done and everything
Our Creator God “made man and woman” different and unique. Enough said! Stop this foolishness Lord and help us come to our senses through your Holy Spirit! Jesus name. Amen! 🙏🙏
How far we have fallen; that this is even a topic for discussion. ;(
Exactly.
FINALLY !!!
AMEN!!
