Trump’s Administration Begins to Take Shape
As he prepares to take office, President-Elect Trump is beginning to fill our his administration. What do you think of his choices?
From Breitbart. Border hawk Thomas Homan is getting a prize border security job in the new administration, incoming President Donald Trump said in a message via his Truth Social media network.
Get involved in state-level prayer with IFA.
Homan is an experienced border officer who served as acting chief of the vital Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency in 2017 and 2018. …
However, the statement did not say Homan would be nominated to run the Department of Homeland Security or the ICE agency. If nominated and confirmed by the Senate for either job, he would have the funding, personnel, and legal authority to deport many illegal migrants.
Instead, the statement suggests he will serve as a “Border Czar,” and will play an advocacy and coordinating role within the White House staff:
[Homan] will be joining the Trump Administration, in charge of our Nation’s Borders (“The Border Czar”), including, but not limited to, the Southern Border, the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security. I’ve known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders. Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin.
If Homan is working within the White House he will have some political authority — not legal authority — to push Trump’s Secretary of DHS and its ICE agency to enforce the nation’s popular immigration laws. He would not need confirmation by the Senate. …
Trump has repeatedly promised a massive deportation effort after the inflow of roughly 9 million illegal migrants during President Joe Biden’s tenure.
Trump’s deportation push will likely first target the roughly 1.3 million illegals who have exhausted their legal appeals to stay in the country. …
Trump’s officials are also expected to deport many of the illegals who are jailed by state officials for various major and minor crimes, as well as migrants unlucky enough to be caught in the company of other lawbreakers.
The deportation push will be loudly resisted by business-backed pro-migration groups and by pro-migrant reporters in the establishment media.
Trump has not announced who he will be hired to run the sprawling DHS agency. If confirmed by the Senate, that person will have a large role in picking the new ICE chief. …
From The New York Post. New York Rep. Elise Stefanik has accepted President-elect Donald Trump’s offer to be his enforcer as United Nations ambassador, The Post can reveal.
The 40-year-old upstate Republican, who helped force out two Ivy League presidents with her sharp questioning on campus antisemitism, will the lead Trump’s “America first” and pro-Israel message in Turtle Bay.
“I am honored to nominate Chairwoman Elise Stefanik to serve in my Cabinet as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Elise is an incredibly strong, tough, and smart America First fighter,” Trump, 78, said in a statement to The Post Sunday night.
Stefanik, the No. 4 House Republican, has been a close Trump ally, including serving on his ceremonial defense team in 2020 during his first impeachment trial for pressuring Ukraine to investigate alleged Biden family corruption. …
Stefanik will come on as the UN has faced conservative criticism, including over the fact that the world’s dictatorships — such as China and Cuba — serve as reps on the Human Rights Council, while the General Assembly routinely passes measures critical of Israel by lopsided margins. …
Stefanik’s departure from the House would temporarily reduce Republicans’ already slim majority.
Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) by law must call a special election within 10 days of the seat’s vacancy to be held within another 70-80 days. The Republican nominee in that election will be chosen by county GOP chairs rather than by a primary. …
From Breitbart. President Donald Trump has chosen immigration expert Stephen Miller as his deputy chief of staff, a source close to the president-elect confirmed to Breitbart News.
The choice puts Trump’s promise of pro-American immigration reform at the center of his presidency and may help return the nation to a low-migration. high-tech future.
The claim was first posted by CNN on Monday morning. “President-elect Donald Trump is expected to announce in the coming days that Stephen Miller, his top immigration adviser, will serve as White House deputy chief of staff for policy, two sources familiar with the plans told CNN.”
If appointed, Miller would work as deputy to Trump’s influential and experienced chief of Staff, Susan Wiles. …
Trump’s team did not confirm the news report, CNN acknowledged, quoting his spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt: “President-elect Trump will begin making decisions on who will serve in his second administration soon. Those decisions will be announced when they are made.”
Miller led Trump’s effort to curb illegal migration during the first term. But his push within the White House bureaucracy was repeatedly countered by establishment and media supporters of large-scale economic migration. …
From The American Conservative. The American Conservative can confirm that President-elect Donald Trump’s search for secretary of State has narrowed to four candidates: Richard “Ric” Grenell, his former ambassador to Germany and acting director of national intelligence; Marco Rubio, the Florida senator and runner-up to be Trump’s vice president; Bill Hagerty, the Tennessee senator and his former ambassador to Japan; and Vivek Ramaswamy, the former presidential candidate–turned –fierce Trump surrogate.
While Ramaswamy is by far the most surprising entrant in the sweepstakes, his selection would be a callback to history.
Trump shocked the world by selecting ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson to head up Foggy Bottom back in 2016. This time, however, the selection process is expected to be far more expedited, with a decision and announcement possible as soon as Monday. And far from being a former Jeb Bush donor, Ramaswamy has staked out ground since his 2023–24 presidential bid as a Trumpist par excellence, pushing the envelope as the party under Trump seeks to jettison figures with Bush wing baggage. …
At a time when Republicans are winning surprise converts, Ramaswamy has cast himself as a generational warrior and uncompromising antiwar figure within the Trumpian fold. “Our message to millennials, speaking as one myself: Yes, it’s true,” the 39-year-old told the Republican National Convention in July. “Our government sold us a false bill of goods, with the Iraq war and the 2008 financial crisis loading up our national debt that falls on our generation’s shoulders.” …
In 2023, Ramaswamy proposed freezing the battlelines in Ukraine and conditioning American support for a deal to end the war on Vladimir Putin breaking ranks with China. …
Ramaswamy belongs to the small but growing ranks of Republicans who quietly oppose military aid to Israel. He told Axios in October 2023 (days after the Hamas assault, when such sentiments were not exactly voguish): “In my ideal view of this, Israel should be able to make the decisions of how it defends itself and its national self-existence. … And we provide a diplomatic Iron Dome for Israel to be able to carry that out. And that’s it. No money.” …
Hagerty is considered by many to be the favorite in the race, but he is virtually unknown outside of Tennessee and Washington, and would be an unusual choice for a president trying to make a splash. …
And Trump passed on Rubio for vice president, favoring Vance. Rubio, who ran the most neoconservative campaign for president in 2016, has won plaudits for an ideological transformation in certain circles in recent years—most notably, among the Catholic right and the nascent economic populist right. But selecting Rubio for State would be handing him a portfolio on the issue where he is widely conceded to be the least Trumpian, foreign policy. …
Grenell makes a lot of sense, and is the second-splashiest pick. Grenell recently won the endorsement of a key aide to Rand Paul, implying the antiwar Republican senator (who has opposed or held up other of Trump’s nominees in the past) would play ball. But Grenell would meet the certain opposition of all Democrats, and possibly the Republican Sens. Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins. …
A similar contingent—McConnell, Murkowski, and Collins—would probably oppose Ramaswamy. But it’s possible he could win a crossover vote: Bernie Sanders. …
It would certainly be the bold move, and the strongest signal yet that Trump means business on correcting the personnel problems of the first term. …

Praise God !! Trump is choosing the leadership of our country with good research and guidance from God in a prayerful Godly way that we have never seen before!! Awesome!! Thank you, Jesus. The choices Trump is making are amazingly beautiful and straight from God. He is God’s man for such a time as this. None of us is perfect, not even Trump, That’s why we need a Savior!! However, God can use willing people who love Him to accomplish His good works. Trump is a maturing believer just as we are. The miracles God is using to grow Trump spiritually show who Trump is to God. The attempted assassinations Have softened Trump and His previous experience as president have made him an even better leader and softened Trump as a person.
I’m disappointed Nickki Haley and Mike Pompeo are out. May God’s will prevail.
Father, may the people whom Trump is appointing be your choice. Give him wisdom in these choices. And may they be approved.
Ditto my prayer/comment from the previous article. I want Your choices to prevail, Lord!
As Trump makes these decisions, speak to his heart, “this is the way, walk in it”.
