I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we know that we have much to pray for, help us to do it Your way, amen
Reading Time: 5 minutes

We officially have a 47th President, Donald Trump. While many Christians who prayed for this are breathing a sigh of relief, those who opposed him are feeling a mix of emotions. One thing is certain: the battle is far from over. IFA has recently released a prayer guide with specific prayer points for the new administration.

This is how we can pray for the Church in the aftermath of the elections.

Pray for the Church to display unwavering faith should trials and troubles arise.

But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies from those who pursue me (Psalm 31:14-15 NIV).

Life is unpredictable, with mountains and valleys and different seasons, but God is constant. He promises that if we seek Him, we will find Him.

Pray for believers to seek the Lord continually.

Seek the LORD and his strength; seek His Presence continually! (1 Chronicles 16:11).

The Bible says, “When the righteous are in authority, then people rejoice.” It’s okay to be thankful, just not prideful. We are warned not to rejoice over a fallen enemy (see Proverbs 24:17,18).

Pray the Church will choose to walk in humility.

Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time (1 Peter 5:5-6).

A church divided against itself will not stand. Satan fears a church that is united in heart and mind. It must remind him of the early church. He works overtime, creating strife, contention, and division in the body of Christ. Let’s discern and renounce his tactics.

Pray for the Church to walk in unity.

This was the Lord’s prayer for us. Unity is an identifier of God’s love.

My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me (John 17:20-23 NIV).

Pray for the Church to love as Christ loved us.

Loving like Jesus isn’t tolerating sin, but it does mean loving sinners. We do not repay evil with evil but overcome evil with good. We bless those who curse us and pray for those who mistreat us (see Matthew 5:43-48). How we love one another identifies us as Christians.

Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples (John 13:35 NLT).

If we can be entirely honest, we have not always been a great representation of Jesus. We haven’t always been obedient to do what He asks of us, but His word is clear. If we love him, then we should keep his commandments. Obedience shouldn’t be optional for the Church.

Pray for the Church to be the salt of the earth (preserving from moral rot), a city on a hill(not hidden away), and the light of the world (shining the brightest in times of darkness).

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:13-16 NIV).

We must admit where we have missed the mark, repent, and turn back to God wholeheartedly. First love’s fire is necessary, we can have no other lovers before the Lord. When He is not first, it shows.

Pray for the Church to have clean hands and pure hearts, live above reproach, and walk in the fear of the Lord. Pray she would have oil her lamps burning for Jesus (see Matthew 25:1-13).

I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary.  Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent (Revelation 2:2-5).

The election may be over, but the battle isn’t. While President Trump was in office in 2016, he was constantly under attack throughout his term. Whether it was physical attempts, spiritual curses, or slander, we can’t expect this term to be different. It would be foolish to rest on our laurels now.

Pray the Church will continue to intercede for our nation and leaders, whether saved or unsaved, because it pleases God.

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

There is no way to know what the next four years will bring. They could be blessings, but they could also bring turmoil. God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours. We don’t always pray right, but one way to have foolproof prayers is to pray for His will above our own.

Pray for God’s will to be done in our lives, cities, and nation.

In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation,But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen (Matthew 6:9-13).

Help us, Lord, to do all your will, to be attentive to the leading of your Spirit throughout each day. Give us ears to hear and eyes to see what is going on in the spiritual realm around us, so that we can listen to how you want us to proceed. Help us to remember that it’s not by might, nor by power, but your Spirit that the mountains before us will be moved.

O Lord we pray for the new cabinet picks of incoming President Trump. Please pray at 5pm today 12/5 for Pete Hegeseth who will be meeting with Senators to answer questions. This may be another smear campaign from the left to “Brett Kavanaugh” style of trumped up charges of which Mr. Hegeseth has denied. We pray for the truth to come out just as we have been witnessing since we have all been praying. Keep praying, asking and knocking. In Jesus Name. Amen

Bring back the “Black Robed Regiment”!!! Pastor must preach from the pulpit sermons that address what is in the news of the day from a Biblical perspective! For example, Pastor Mark Driscoll who wrote the book: “Vote Like Jesus”. My friends have been telling me about this pastor here in Scottsdale, AZ. I am planning to visit his church this Sunday. His church is growing by leaps and bounds! Wonder why? I think Christians and non-Christians alike are hungry for TRUTH. This man of God preaches TRUTH from the Word that applies to the culture we are faced with every day!

Lord Jesus, let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth in the fullness of Your power and authority mentioned in Mt 28:18 and in the exact scope that you mentioned which is all nations being discipled (meaning entire cultures transformed under the authority of His Word) and brought under the King and Lord of all—which forever is the title of our messiah, our future, our joy, our most basic confession “Jesus is Lord” with the ancient church we affirm and pray will advance in our personal walk and among the nations. Romans 1:5, 16:26

Concerted prayer is needed to be made for pastors, churches, seminaries, and denominations that have compormised truth, tradiitional beliefs, and set-apart living in and outside of the church. They are allowing the enemy of our souls to neutralize the power of our Champion and thus become part of the problem instead of the solution in these chaotic times.

JESUS, may You be High and lifted up in our lives. “Create in me a clean heart, O GOD, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your Presence, and take not Your HOLY SPIRIT from me. Restore to me the joy of Your Salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.” Psalm 51:10-12 Behold, I stand at the door of your heart and knock. Yes & Amen In JESUS’ Glorious, Merciful, Victorious Name.

Abba Father, I agree in payer this morning for all of the prayer points for the Church and our nation. Thank You Jesus for Your sacrifice and that our sins are forgiven, past, present and future. I pray Abba that You will continue to lead me on the paths of righteousness and surround me with songs of deliverance so that I may serve You all the days of my life. Lord, continue to bless IFA for all that they do to encourage each of us to stand firmly on the Word of God and pray.

I have been praying that we the Church and we as individuals would be winsome and that we would build friendships with those we don’t agree with and love them whether they respond or receive what we have to offer.

This page and the Prayers and Exhortations in it are so right on target! The Word is Living and active and more powerful than a two-edged sword, cutting in both the natural and supernatural realms! Thank you for your timely exhortations and challenges to us in the Body of Christ! We need to stay sharp and informed and pray without ceasing!

Lord, I pray that Your people will pray in unity that Your will be done, I pray that any of our new president’s nominees/appointees who should not be in leadership will be dismissed. I pray that Your Church will step up in unified prayer against the evil one who wants to thwart its role in Your purposes-to draw more people to You. Forgive us of our sin of often forgetting that role . We love You, Lord. Your be done.

YHVH, I stand in agreement with Gloria’s prayer points above. May we the remnant, the body of Christ seek You diligently, and cling to You tenaciously. As we each align with You, Your Word, and Your will and purposes, we will experience Godly unity – without compromise. In reality, Lord, a song sprang to mind –
Refrain:
Oh! to be like You, oh! to be like You,
Blessed Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Your sweetness, come in Your fullness;
Stamp Your own image deep on my heart.

1. Oh! to be like You, blessed Redeemer, this is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures, Jesus Your perfect likeness to wear.

2. Oh! to be like You, full of compassion, loving forgiving, tender and kind,
Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting, seeking the wandering sinner to find.

3. Oh! to be like You, lowly in spirit, holy and harmless, patient and brave;
Meekly enduring cruel reproaches, willing to suffer, others to save.

4. Oh! to be like You, Lord, I am coming, now to receive the anointing divine;
All that I am and have I am bringing, Lord, from this moment all shall be Thine.

5. Oh! to be like Thee, while I am pleading, pour out Your Spirit, fill with Your love.
Make me a temple meet for Your dwelling, fit me for life and Heaven above. (Thomas O. Chisholm)

May this truly be the cry of our hearts!

Dearest Heavenly Father: I pray your will over my life, over my family, our nation, over every situation that arises and over every demonic force that tries to exalt itself above you. YOU ALONE are GOD! You are worthy of all Glory, Honor, Power and Praise. I adore you. I know you have a plan for each of us and I pray I will not hamper those plans through impatience, pride or ignorance. I TRUST you (Let us hold fast the confession of our faith WITHOUT WAVERING for he who promised is FAITHFUL! Hebrews 10:23) I praise you and stand in awe of you for your faithfulness to us. Let me learn to obediently and courageously follow you and mirror your faithfulness and sacrifice. Thank you my Lord and Savior. My Everything.
