Kamala Harris said that people do not need to abandon their faith to support abortion. Star NFL coach Tony Dungy felt differently.
From CBN. Famed football coach Tony Dungy recently delivered a pointed response to Vice President Kamala Harris after the Democratic presidential nominee again implored people of faith to support abortion rights.

“One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree: The government, and certainly Donald Trump, should not be telling a woman what to do with her body,” Harris wrote on X.
But Dungy, who has coached both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts and has been an outspoken pro-life activist, had some questions.

This is hardly the first time Dungy has defended the unborn. In 2021, he spoke out after President Joe Biden, a self-proclaimed Catholic, said he doesn’t believe life begins at conception. …
And Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock (D), who faced critique for calling himself a “pro-choice pastor,” has also received pushback from Dungy in the past. …

Once a woman is pregnant, it is no longer just her body. There are two bodies, two hearts, two precious lives at stake. For nine months she is entrusted with the miracle of a separate being developing within her–separate DNA, perhaps separate blood type, separate hair and eye color in the DNA, certainly separate personality and dreams–until she delivers her baby safely to term. Is 9 months of her life devoted to the care and nurture of her own flesh too much to ask of her?
The two Chinese characters for “womb” are “child palace.” Every child’s sanctuary. Rights for the mother, with no rights for the fetus, make the womb the most dangerous, the most lethal, place in the world for an American baby.
What a great point you make, Jessica! The mother is entrusted with a new life developing within her. What a great betrayal whenever abortion is performed. That trust is sadly broken in gross travesty.
Why isn’t this a given for all Christians? This issue is being spun to make women who are uneducated on the facts that somehow they won’t have access to health care. That isn’t the case.
