The following prayer, submitted by a contributor, is being used by her prayer team in response to a detailed prophecy speaking about imminent attacks upon Israel. While the prayer addresses specific concerns in the prophecy, it provides a model of how to pray for Israel and the conflict in the Middle East.

Begin with praise.

Psalm 121

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Psalm 149:1, 6-9

Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints….Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment. This honor have all His saints.

Psalm 150:1-2, 6

Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!…Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

Confess and repent.

Confess, repent, and plead the blood of Christ over sin, disunity, dread, alliance with evil of all sorts, confusion, fear, fear (especially of man) that blocks the righteous action of the church in the world, and a desire for the pursuit of ignorance about the things of this world, especially about spiritual enemies working through national and international enemies. Confess and repent of human indignation and the emotional response to evil that can obscure hearing accurately from the Lord. Ask the Lord to allow our minds to be clear and calm and our ears to hear.

Dress for battle.

Put on your spiritual armor according to Ephesians 6:10-20:

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Dress for intercession.

Put on the garments of the High Priest according to Exodus 28: The undergarment that protects from shame, the tunic of humility, the sash of dignity, the outer garment worked with bells and decorated with pomegranates, the ephod of service to which we tie the breastplate of the High Priest. Into the back pocket of the breastplate, we tuck the Urim and Thummim, which represent the wisdom and will of the Holy Spirit. On our heads we take the turban of authority to which we tie the golden plate that says HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

Sound the alarm!

We sound the alarm to pray against the plans of the evil one to destroy God’s people. “Blow a trumpet in Zion, sound an alarm” (Joel 2:1). Lord, may we and those who need to join in this prayer hear and pray in the powerful Name of Jesus and in the Power of the Holy Spirit.

Renounce the enemy.

In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, pray against the demonic spirits connected with any sin you have confessed. Here is a list of demonic spirits that the Lord exposed for the prayer team:  The spirit of Pride, Absalom, Hatred, Malice, Hatred & Malice, Murder, Death, Anti-Christ, Antisemitism, Genocide, Hamas, Amalek, Jihad, Violence, Self, Death in the Mouth, the politically strong demons of Death and Destruction, Haman, Hezbollah, Murder, Evil Mission, Sobriquets, Terror and Terrorism, Deception, Darkness, anything whose name or function is: “Come, let us wipe them (Israel) out as a nation” or “Let the Name of Israel be remembered no more.” We also bind anything evil whose name or function is connected to these phrases: “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Shall Be Free,” “Death to Israel,” “Death to America.” We bind Crafty Plans, Rage, Rebellion, and Massacre.

Pray that the Lord Jesus Christ would bind all these away from Israel, America, the “Evil Axis,” Jewish people, Christian people, the Middle East, the world, and all those connected to us from the throne to the outermost part. Pray in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ that they would be sent to the abyss and destroyed according to God’s Word and God’s will. Pray for the destruction of all their leaders and underlings and replacements to the third generation in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Invite the Holy Spirit.

Ask the Holy Spirit to fill every place now vacated by the enemy.  Forgive by the blood of Jesus any who curse. Pray that all curses would be reversed in the Name of Jesus and turned into blessings. The team prays: “We place directly into Your Hand, Lord God Almighty, for judgment and action: Evil and the ever-increasing presence of Evil, Behemoth, Leviathan, and Satan himself. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we say: ‘Halt! To the march of Death, Murder, and Destruction.'”

Decree and declare.

In the powerful Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we decree and declare together that:

Any large-size attack on Yahweh’s land, Israel, be utterly thwarted. “You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel” (Psalm 2:8). Read, decree, and declare Psalm 2 over this situation and all involved. “Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.’ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: ‘Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.’ I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son. Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’  Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.”

Any plans against Israel unravel. “They lay crafty plans against your people; they consult together against Your treasured ones. They say, ‘Come let us wipe them out as a nation. . .for they conspire with one accord.” But we call to You, Lord God, we decree and declare that “The nations have sunk in the pit that they made; in the net that they hid, their own foot has been caught. The Lord has made himself known; He has executed judgment; the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands (Psalm 9:15, 16). Let the evil plans devised against Israel “return on their own heads” (Esther 9:25). At Babel, You dispersed them, and they left off building the city (Genesis 10:8). Do the same with these conspirators. Let their plans be utterly abandoned and an utter failure.

Logistics will be turned into confusion and leadership in disarray. “O My God, make them like whirling dust, like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind” (Psalm 83:13). Lord, look down on the forces aligned against Your people and Your land. As you did with the Egyptians in Moses’ day: “Throw the enemy forces into a panic, clogging their wheels and logistics…Lord fight for Israel” (Exodus 14:24-25). We cut the unholy alliance by the Blood and the Holy Spirit between the ones plotting attacks and the axis of Evil including but not limited to: China, Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, Syria, Yemen, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Qatar. Turn their communication into confusion. As You did at Babel, Lord: “Confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech” (Genesis 11:7). Put the leadership in disarray as it is written: “When they blew the 300 trumpets, the Lord set every man’s sword against his comrade and against all the army and the army fled” (Judges 6:22).

All plans for evil find their way into the hands of the Lord God Almighty’s people. Lord God, we pray that those charged with seeing into the shadows in all realms see and act in Your will. That those who are responsible to act upon the information take incisive and determined speech and action. As in the days of Elisha, let the plans come to God’s people: “Once when the king of Syria was warring against Israel, he took counsel with his servants, saying, ‘At such and such a place shall be my camp.’ But the man of God sent word to the king of Israel, ‘Beware that you do not pass this place. . . thus he used to warn him’” (2 Kings 6:8-10).

Intercede.

We pray for salvation for all. Lord, You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth. We ask for their forgiveness and cover with the blood of Christ, the humans being used by the enemy to make these evil attacks. Convict these ones of sin, Holy Spirit. Crack the Dome of the Rock with dreams and visions of Jesus, the Man in White. Let the leadership topple into salvation. We bind away the god of this age who blinds the minds of unbelievers. Let all be cut to the heart by the story of their Savior. Let salvation and eternal rest in You be offered and accepted. We pray for salvation for all whose hearts are able to turn. We pray Your justice on those who will not.

We decree and declare this blessing over Israel: “There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to your help through the skies in His majesty. The eternal God is Your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And He thrust out the enemy before you and said, ‘Destroy.’ So Israel lived in safety, Jacob lived alone, in a land of grain and wine, whose heavens drop down dew. Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help, and the sword of your triumph! Your enemies shall come fawning to you, and you shall tread upon their backs” (Deuteronomy 33:26-29, ESV).

Glorify Thy Name, O Lord, in the all-powerful Name of Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen.
