Yesterday morning, the International Court of Justice ruled against Israel.

Following weeks of deliberation and arguments, the ICJ ruled against Israel’s request to throw out South Africa’s accusations of genocide. The court did not, however, rule that Israel had committed genocide against the Palestinians. Rather, it concluded that the Palestinians are at risk of genocide and must be protected. To this point, Judge Joan Donoghue, president of the ICJ, stated, “In the court’s view, at least some of the acts and omissions committed by Israel in Gaza appear to be capable of falling within the provisions of the genocide convention.”
South Africa had demanded a ceasefire to protect the people of Gaza. The court did not order a ceasefire, but it did issue a series of provisional measures, instructing Israel to “take all measures within its power” to prevent genocidal acts. Practically, this means that Israel must refrain from killing, injuring, or preventing the births of Palestinians. Furthermore, Israel must prevent and punish the incitement of genocide, as well as provide “urgently needed assistance to address the adverse conditions of life in Gaza.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized the court’s decision, accusing the ICJ of denying Israel its right to defend itself. “The vile attempt to deny Israel this fundamental right,” he said in a video statement, “is blatant discrimination against the Jewish state, and it was justly rejected. The charge of genocide leveled against Israel is not only false, it’s outrageous, and decent people everywhere should reject it.” Netanyahu also promised to facilitate humanitarian aid and protect civilians whenever possible.
South Africa praised the ICJ’s ruling, hailing it as a “decisive victory.”

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem expresses its utter dismay at the ruling of the International Court of Justice in The Hague on Friday (01/26/24) concerning South Africa’s application under the Genocide Treaty against Israel.
The world was shocked and repulsed by the evil atrocities committed by Hamas against innocent Israelis last October 7, and today’s ruling by the International Court of Justice only compounds the shock and pain of that dark day. That the wide majority of justices on the Court would sit calmly at the reading of its rulings on the eve of January 27, set aside by the international community as International Holocaust Remembrance Day, only deepens our disappointment at the world’s betrayal of the Jewish state and people. This decision inverts justice and is built on decades of the United Nations and all its forums becoming the world’s most cunning purveyors of antisemitism. These global institutions were founded with honorable intentions, including to prevent a repeat of the Nazi genocide against the Jews, yet these very forums are now placing Israel in grave danger by giving credence to these outrageous claims it is committing genocide in Gaza.
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness,” warned the Hebrew prophet Isaiah (5:20). Israel is justly defending its citizens from massacres, rapes, mutilations and torture, yet it is now rebuked by the World Court, even while Hamas and other armed Palestinian militias are let completely off the hook. Nonetheless, we trust the Lord God to keep and protect Israel as He has promised (Psalm 121:4; Jeremiah 31:10).
These court orders are legally binding but difficult to enforce. For now, Israel has promised to continue its war against Hamas.
In the wake of this unfavorable ruling, we must continue to pray for the nation of Israel. Pray that God would protect the Jewish people from attacks, both physical attacks from Hamas and verbal attacks from the rest of the world. Pray that, following this ruling, America would remain a strong supporter of Israel. Above all else, pray that God would strengthen Israel in this war and bring them victory.

We pray for the war between Hamas and Israel to end peacefully, that the Hamas militants would leave Gaza and end the war upon your people! Father, Isaiah 54:17 says that NO WEAPON formed against us will prosper, and we claim that here and now regarding Israel. Hamas will be defeated, and the Gaza Strip will return to Israel. Psalm 5:12 reminds us that you bless the godly and surround them with your shield, so we claim that now.
We ask that the peace of your love invades the hearts and minds of the Hamas! We pray ultimately for their salvation, Father.

I am praying the God will step in and utterly and completely remove all enemies of Israel both in the middle east and throughout the entire world. Those enemies are becoming emboldened in their attacks and lies. God protect and rescue all those who believe and trust in You

People should Read their Bibles. Poor Israel is surrounded by enemies that want to destroy All the Jews. Read the old testament and see how God helped the Jews. May God rule in Israel and be their defender. Actually the Palestinians should move to another place, Lebanon, Syria, etc. And give the land BACK to Israel. They have so much land and Israel doesn’t. If none of the people handing down this ruling has experienced attacks by Hamas, then they are without true understanding of the suffering of the people of Israel at the hands of Hamas who murdered their babies right in front of the Jewish parents before murdering the parents. The most evil, heinous crimes!
Therefore, they are not qualified to judge this situation and on this basis, I ask that the ruling be overturned because by this ruling they have strengthened the hands of the wicked.

The International Court of “Justice” should fear the universal court of the creator, The Judge of All the Earth, who happens to be the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Hamas stated their goal was to eliminate the jews. They attacked and killed, took hostages, and raped and tortured them. Hamas is a Terrorist group. Israel has every right to defend itself and eliminate this threat. Outside sources need to stay out of the way, and stop making demands.
