I Prayed have prayed
Father, guide our leaders as they oversee our border. Help them to keep our border secure in a way that honors You.

The Vatican has criticized our border wall and our treatment of illegal immigrants as “inhumane.” Intercessor, what do you think?

From Breitbart. The Vatican newspaper has slammed the U.S. for its southern border fence with a frontpage article decrying “that inhuman wire.”

The L’Osservatore Romano piece is accompanied by a large photo of a young woman and a child attempting to crawl through the midst of razor wire, presumably in an effort to enter the United States illegally.

“The suffering of the migrants who try to get through the barriers placed between Mexico and the United States,” reads the caption.

The Vatican, which has encouraged international migration and urged governments to welcome immigrants, has been a vocal critic of the border wall. …

Pope Francis has repeatedly railed against the building of walls. In his 2020 encyclical letter titled Fratelli Tutti (Brothers All), the pontiff referred to walls a striking 14 times, insisting that the Church wants “to build bridges, to break down walls, to sow seeds of reconciliation.” …

In Tuesday’s article, the Vatican paper says that the woman in the photo is one of the lucky ones, since she is alive rather than dead.

She is “one of many who each day try to cross Eagle Pass, leading from Mexico into Texas,” where just in this past July four people drowned, the paper declares. …

L’Osservatore Romano takes special issue with “Republican Governor Greg Abbott” for continuing to erect barriers along the border “without federal permission.”

Currently, the United States welcomes far more legal immigrants each year than any other nation in the world, with an annual average approaching a million people. …

Does he think we have no right to borders? What about his?

Perfect example of hypocrisy. The Vatican is an independent, walled, city-state. So, in essence, the Pope declares that where he lives can remain a sovereign and secure homeland, but America cannot.

I think that the Vatican and Francis should re-route all of the illegals to Rome! In JESUS NAME!

The Vatican has very strict security to enter!!! What is he talking about?
Maybe we need Swiss guards to be on the boarder. We are supposed to be a sovereign country. I’m Catholic.

There are some very rich people in the countries that these people come from. Some of them are Catholics. The Pope should urge them to help their own people instead of having other countries do it for them.

I’m not sure what to say except that worldliness has creeped into everything. The enemy of life is behind it. He knows that he has lost and is desperate. Turn to the truth of God and don’t be deceived.

Dear Heavenly Father,
It was You who created all the different countries. And each country’s rulers are required to take care of their people. I would like to tell the Pope that the fault is not with the USA’s border wall, but with the Governments of those countries whose people are suffering because of their government’s failure to seek YOU, for YOU have said in Your Word that YOU will withhold rain where there is wickedness–see Amos 4:7-8 “I also withheld rain from you, When there were still three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, And where it did not rain the part withered.”
The USA and its people are very generous in their giving to those less fortunate and the USA sends many missionaries to those afflicted with poverty and disease in multiple countries of the world. The missionaries are supported by the American people who are now themselves suffering so much harm in the South from the invasion of undocumented immigrants at the wall. Perhaps His Excellency Pope Francis would like to donate some of the priceless works of art in the papal palace to help the unfortunate people in the world to live a healthier life before being critical of the USA and its policies. USA welcomes all immigrants who come legally. Among the undocumented immigrants are cartels and criminals and it is wrong that they be allowed into this country without proper documentation–so many of our young people have now died from the drugs that they brought into the country. It has been disastrous for our young people whose lives ended because of an open border.

I’m wondering if the Pope would accept some of our immigrants in Vatican City?

There are bridges across the Rio Grande. If they have legitimate grounds for asylum, then use them but don’t pay these cartels tens of thousands of dollars to sneak in. We are so far in debt we cannot take take care of our own needy much less all the needy of the world who want to come here. Why no condemnation of the cartels who use and abuse and sometimes kill people and smuggle drugs into this country which does kill people?

Because the pope is a globalist and he is in lockstep with the drug cartels-, or, the people that handle drug cartels are in lockstep with the globalists.. and the globalists control the pope

The Pope should read the book of Nehemiah and rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem. Walls are for security and protection. The Pope himself is surrounded by a wall as someone else already commented. And there are immigration laws on the books for those who want to become “legal” U.S. citizens. Unfortunately, they are not being enforced.

I guess he hasn’t visited the boarder either. May be he should run for office. We’re trying to straighten out the mess here we’re being opposed by the Biden. Donald Trump did straighten it out. Thank you Jesus
