Former President Obama released a letter supporting explicit LGBTQ+ content, lamenting supposed “book bans.”
From National Review. Barack Obama released a rare public letter denouncing the āprofoundly misguidedā attempts to ban books in libraries across the country.

āToday, some of the books that shaped my life ā and the lives of so many others ā are being challenged by people who disagree with certain ideas or perspectives. Itās no coincidence that these ābanned booksā are often written by or feature people of color, indigenous people, and members of the LGBTQ+ community,ā the former president wrote.
Obamaās comments come amid a wave of parent concern over the addition of highly sexualized content to public-school libraries.
Much of the concern has focused on the bookĀ Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe, an LGBT book that has been introduced to elementary and middle-school students around the country. The book, which received the 2020 American Library Associationās Alex Award, includes erotic scenes of men having sex, illustrations of minors performing oral sex, and a drawing of a man masturbating a young boyās penis. …
Beneath the former presidentās letter to the nationās ādedicated and hardworking librarians,ā was a link to an organization,Ā Unite Against Book Bans, spearheaded by the American Library Association. On Friday, the group held a rally in Chicago headlined by antiracist author,Ā Ibram X. Kendi, who has infamously argued that the āonly remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.ā …
Obama also passingly referenced attempts to bowdlerize classics: ā[T]here have also been unfortunate instances in which books by conservative authors or books containing ātriggeringā words or scenes have been targets of removal. Either way, the impulse seems to be to silence, rather than engage, rebut, learn from or seek to understand views that donāt fit our own.ā
In recent years, several publishers have been caught re-writing historic books to make them more inclusive and sensitive to modern tastes. In February, it was revealed that physical descriptions of characters in new editions of Roald Dahl books were airbrushed to remove references such as āfatā or āuglyā by hired āsensitivity readers.ā

Dear LORD, Your Word says,
“For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.” Eph 5:12 KJV
If it is a shame to speak of those things, how much worse if it is published in a book and planted in children’s libraries! LORD, please intervene! “And if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around his neck”. Mk 9:42 NIV
There is a clear and present danger here not only for the children but for the perpetrators as well, who need the power of Your blood to rescue them from deception. Help them both, LORD!
It is here that (Matt 18) where Your Word gives one of the scariest views of hell and of the necessity of being ever so radical as to cut off your hand or gouge out your eye to avoid sinning and going to that place forever. The curse is real.
But so is your awesome blessing: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see Godā. (Matt 5:8) Donāt let the children be robbed of that, Oh LORD!
So, LORD, because of the passion you have that the purity of these little ones to be protected, let Heaven’s armies be released according to the strength of that passion and crush the rebellion going in the libraries. Let the good books be restored which feed the child’s soul and let the wicked books be destroyed. Bless the workers who are serving you in libraries.
As for the perpetrators, LORD, āspeak to them in your wrath and terrify them in your furyā and say to them āServe the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss [honor] the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindledā. Ps 2:5, 11-12. ESV

Mr. Obama is clearly able to understand, he is simply unwilling. The truth is, children need protection against pornographic books….The truth is, children do not need incendiary reading regardless the race or color of the author…. NOT to include Roald Dahl … good grief…
Dear Lord and God, in speaking of Israelās restoration, You said:

I pray You will reveal Yourself to our children and deliver them from the constant drone of wickedness. In our society, it is so loud. I pray every child will be Your witness and each one will praise You for their deliverance from the adults who should be their protection. NO ONE can reverse that. I ask this and so much more in the Name of Your Son, the firstborn of all creation, Jesus. Amen
Loving Heavenly Father, I pray that the truth will be exposed of what has been going on in this world including our government people who continue to hurt innocent people like children. Also, Father I pray that you will give all of the innocent children and their families and friends daily protection against all evils, in Jesus name I pray Amen
Lord, there are cracks instigated all across our nation, in ever segment of society. Often these come from demonized politicians. I pray You open their eyes to Your grace, but in the meantime, I ask You to close their mouths. Thank You

As president Obama didn’t have national day of prayer or ministers in the WH. His philosophy hasn’t changed.
I’m reminded of Pastor Mario Murillo who said” beware of being so open minded your brains fall out.”
