Pro-lifers will gather at the annual March for Life in the nation’s capital on Friday and march from the National Mall to the U.S. Capitol to celebrate life and protect unborn children.

This year, pro-lifers have more to celebrate: the overturning of Roe v. Wade (1973). Almost 50 years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the U.S. Constitution conferred a “right of privacy” on women to kill their unborn babies.

In Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (2022), the court ruled 6-3 that the Constitution does not confer the right to an unborn. The court also overturned Casey v. Planned Parenthood, which upheld Roe and established an “undue burden standard” on states that sought to restrict abortion.

Pro-lifers have much more work to do. States now have the power to ban, restrict, or unreservedly allow abortion. That means abortion still exists. The war has yet to be won…. (Excerpt from Black Community News)
