One Democrat, Rep. Henry Cuellar (TX), joined all voting GOP lawmakers to support the legislation. The final tally was 220-210, with Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) voting “present” and three Republicans not voting. Despite the victory for Republicans in the House, the legislation likely won’t get far in the Democrat-led Senate.
The bill, called the “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” establishes that health care practitioners who do not reasonably act to “preserve the life and health of the child” after an attempted abortion as they would any newborn face fines or up to five years imprisonment. The bill also outlines civil remedies for the mother of an abortion survivor. …

Lord God. We pray that as this bill goes to the Senate, the senators will take the time to hear testimonies and consider the reality of what is being done. Help them have compassion and to realize that a child born and then killed is murder. May many choose to protect the live birth. Lord, I also pray that as we consider this across the nation, many will see the cruelty related to partial birth abortion and would speak up. Let them not turn a blind eye to these inhumane acts.
Lord, let your will prevail in this legislation-,that it will stand against evil -,in an unprecedented way -..even though it looks to humanity not able to do so-, let your goodness prevail..that and abortion is ended in America.

Father, may this beginning continue. Although it probably will not pass the Senate–though we pray that you would work in the hearts of the Senators to value life–we pray the momentum might continue toward life. May the people in this country continue to move toward life. Praise your name.
Father, You gave us tremendous mercy when Roe was overturned. Thank You for a House that values life. Please touch the hearts of all the Senators and turn them toward mercy for the unborn and survivors of abortion. Awaken their understanding, and grant them a spirit of deep repentance. Especially bless Gary and Debbie. They do so many things right with regard to our state, but have been so blind to moral truth. Forgive them. Even though we differ greatly on politics, I have come to love them and want their lives to be pleasing in Your sight. Amen.

A baby who has been born having survived an abortion birth must be protected. To put the unwanted child to death is murder.
There are plenty families who want to adopt. Make those Laws easier to encourage adoption.
Shame on Vincente Gonzalez for not voting for this bill. I live in Texas RGV and am disappointed in his decision. Thank you Henry Cuellar for supporting this pro-life bill.
Lord I thank you for the passing of this bill in the House, and just like you touch the hearts of the people of the House I believe You to touch the hearts of the Senate. These are lives of our future, Your replenishing Your earth. Have mercy on the men and women that don’t think so. Pull down the blinders of the devil that has caused them to call murder a good thing, forgive and open their hearts, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen
