While we continue to pray for Ukraine, we must also pray that our leaders are “wise as serpents and innocent as doves” (Matt. 10:16).
From BBC. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky is on his way to Washington, where he will meet US President Joe Biden.
Who is praying on the wall?
It is his first foreign trip since Russia invaded in February.
Details of his travel are unlikely to be made public, given the security risks involved, but he was seen earlier at a Polish train station.
The US has confirmed it will supply Ukraine with a Patriot missile system, significantly increasing the country’s air defence capability.
“On my way to the US to strengthen resilience and defense capabilities of Ukraine,” Mr Zelensky wrote on Twitter.
He also said he would give a speech to Congress and hold a number of meetings.
The visit was, unsurprisingly, kept as a secret, with official confirmation coming only hours before it was due to start.
The US has been Ukraine’s most important ally in the war, committing $50bn (£41bn) of humanitarian, financial and security assistance – far more than any other country.
Mr Zelensky has held regular phone calls with Western leaders since the start of the war. But by hosting him at the White House, President Biden will signal that Washington is committed to supporting the country for “as long as it takes”, as has been repeatedly said. …
In its briefing ahead of Mr Zelensky’s visit, the White House confirmed a new package of nearly $2bn of security assistance for Ukraine. …
In his address to Congress on Wednesday, the Ukrainian leader will probably use the infrastructure strikes to plead for more weapons. There, he will find some Republicans who have voiced criticism about the level of US support, as Congress considers approving an extra $50bn in aid.
The monthly cost of defence for Ukraine is reportedly about $5bn (£4.1bn). …

My heart sank and stomach turned as I saw Mr Zelinsky be praised and honored by Biden Harris Pelosi and the whole Senate and Congress. The tyrants have spoken and the United States of America has fallen .. GODS’ judgment has begun. GODs will be done . Pray for yourselves and your family and loved ones for Salvation, strength discernment .. for the Great Tribulation is Coming ….. If I understand correctly the Russian history that I studied, access to the oceans has always been an imperative. Letting the Crimean peninsula, which controls their access to the Black Sea, belong to Ukraine didn’t bother the USSR as long as it included Ukraine. The plans for this war may well have begun as soon as the USSR broke up and Russia lost this veneer of respectability to its control of Crimea. To access Crimea by land, they need Eastern Ukraine. If this is their motive the prospect of their ever ending the war may be much less. Russia and other European countries have settled wars in the past by partitioning their neighbors. God allowed it then and He may now.
Father,
We ask you to give wisdom to the leaders of both Ukraine and Russia so that they can come to a just and fair peace. Help them to see the foolishness of continuing to lose what they can least afford to lose- their young people. You know that their birthrates are below replacement and their populations are starting to dwindle. In the long run, the only groups that will benefit are the Turks and other moslems. They tend to have large families and persecute and kill your children. Please bring this war to a swift end.

Father, You know all things. Nothing is hidden from you. Deliver us from plans to destroy us as a nation. Expose manipulations that would harm America and stop them in their tracks. Grant us peace, and help the Ukranian people to regain peace as well. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
