In a CBS focus group, Republicans and Democrats agreed on several key issues, including the dangers of wokeness to children.
From Townhall. A balanced focus group on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday morning surely didn’t go quite as producers expected when the Democrat and the independent voter both found themselves agreeing with the Republican on key issues, including “woke culture” in schools.

The discussion, moderated by anchor Margaret Brennan, started off pretty tame and predictable … But when the topic turned to raising children in America, even Brennan seemed surprised by the level of agreement.
This CBS focus group – featuring a Republican, a Democrat, & an independent – didn't go quite as planned. John lists "woke culture" as a concern and the rest agree with him.

What are your biggest concerns about raising children in America right now?” Brennan asked John, the self-identified Republican on the panel.
Seemingly hoping for a counterpoint, Brennan next turned to Lashawn, the Democrat, and asked her to “weigh in on this.”
“I can also agree with some of his points,” Lawhawn said. “I say sex education, I feel like some things are brought to the children’s attention, they wouldn’t even think about.” “And you have eight kids,” said Brennan. “I imagine you have some pretty specific ideas in your mind when you’re speaking about this?”
Stephanie, the independent, stated her agreement with John and Lashawn before citing her own Covid-related school concern.
“Often when we do these focus groups we have people from different party affiliations disagreeing with each other, but I’m hearing all of you echo a lot of the same concerns and agreeing with each other,” she said. “None of you are very optimistic about the country right now.”
“No,” Stephanie replied dryly.
Sure, it’s just one focus group. But it also aligns with current polling. . . .

Father God, the country is removed you from the face of this country and we so desperately need you! Help us all repent and bring rational common sense of politics, morals and values back into this broken, busted up country we live in! It’s so radical, it’s wicked and scary! Americans humble yourselves and bring Christ back into our souls and most of all don’t be deceived by Satan before it’s too late! AMEN!
What we are facing is definitely demonic and an anti Christ spirit that has subversivedly taken hold to all facets of society, We can no longer pretend that dialog will change their minds. Only exposure to the Gospel of Christ will do that.
It’s up to each one of us Christians to take those souls from the hands of our enemy.

I am not surprised that a Republican person, a Democratic person and an Independent person are in agreement about when and what they want to teach their kids about LGBTQ+ culture; and it’s NOT in the schools.
There are people who have no children, they do not read school text books (usually). There are people who have children but don’t read the child’s text books (many). There are people who have children and read the section of the text book that the child has a question about (many). How many people are on a Board of Education? Very few compared to the number of parents and children.
The LGBTQ+ persons are definitely working within the educational system and the text book industry to include “woke culture” to ALL GRADES. They are on or have influence with members of the Board’s of Education; and many principles, vice-principle and teachers are or have friends of “woke culture”.
Sex education is still a very privet topic within some families. The parents do not want the school to bring up the subject of LBGTQ+ culture to ALL GRADES. This a is a culture, NOT a truth about the physical body of all kids.
Telling age-appropriate kids, in school, about what and how the sexual parts of their bodies work IS the truth, not a “culture”.
Why does the LGBTQ+ culture use the name “woke culture”? Are they hiding or masking that this culture is the LGBTQ+ culture?
Schools have gone to the very dredges and far too many of the Teachers with it.
Spelling should become much easier for the little ones now. All they have to do is memorize how to write LGBTQ, Groomer, WOKE! The others are just to disgusting to write.
I am thankful that my children are grown. Even in 2013 when my daughter was in grade school, they were teaching sex education.
One Teacher in particular called Mom’s at home who had said no to their children sitting in, and blatantly asked…….Were our little girls being molested at home, and was that why we wouldn’t allow them to sit in?
This woman proved to have zero morals and was witnessed in her own behavior.
She had absolutely no clue that we were a Church going, Bible believing and Spirit Filled Christian family. We felt that these matters like all things pertaining to our children are to be tended to by us! Their parent’s who love them and nurture not only their bodies but their little souls and spirits. God gave us these most awesome gifts……our children. Yet the state and Government have put us in a war like no other with our children squarely in the middle as the coveted prize for ungodly and sick,deranged people.
People who do not know the Lord and have no personal relationship with Him, do not get people like us, God’s children , A peculiar children of God.
God said that we were a peculiar people, set apart for Him. Our children are set apart for God’s purpose.
Father in Jesus Holy name we lift our children and their future up to You. You are our God and You are lovely and beautifully awesome Lord.
We thank you with all of our might for the gift of children and grandchildren and Lord, for our lives.
Father we pray in Jesus Holy Name that You would crush our enemies and destroy every evil platform and agenda that has been put forth, those set in motion by wicked people who do not know You or want to know You.
We ask Father that You part them from every agenda , co-hort, financial and puppet masters who control them.
We glorify You Lord and declare that Jesus, You are Lord over all, in all, and through all things.
We thank You Lord that Your eyes are never closed, that You never sleep, nor are You ever blind to the wicked and all that they do.
We lift up this agenda to You and Lord we lay it at Your feet as we continue to pray against this and all other issues that are ungodly.
We do pray for the souls Lord, of those who are misguided and so very wicked,evil and so far from You. We pray that somehow You will be able to bring them to You.
You are the only way, truth and the light to this world. We praise You alone Lord. In Jesus, Holy and most precious name .

I’m glad to hear that most everyone was on the same page. MY BIG CONCERN is pushing this sexual stuff on our little kids. Trying to make them disregard their birth position of male or female and be pushed by some nutty teacher trying to ruin lives confusing them. I was delighted to hear when this little boy came home and said his teacher said he was a girl that the momma said you say to that teacher that your momma said you are a boy. Apparently, that was dismissed and he was never told otherwise again. Keep open communication with your child and speak up. Fix it. Change the situation back for abnormal back to normal.
There still are some dems and independents in USA with some brain left in their heads. Surprise, I thought they had all desappeared!
Praise God! This is an answer to prayers for our children in our public schools. What encouragement to see parents of different philosophies agreeing. May parents continue to unite behind teaching basic skills.
When I studied early schools in America, the alphabet was taught by using Bible scriptures. Look at how far we have veered from our beginnings especially when we began accepting federal funds and losing local control.
I was shocked in one new school I taught when an angry Hispanic 8th grader would not stand during our National Anthem or Pledge of Allegiance to our flag. I explained if I was visiting his country of origin, I would stand in silence to show my respect to his country even as a guest. I didn’t understand that schools were starting to deviate then from routines I was accustomed to having to avoid controversy.
This new movement of pronouns is just one more diversion from learning basics. Every new controversy is exhausting educators and parents. Thank you, Father, for hearing the prayers for schools and unifying parents. Amen
Thank you Father for this agreement on our children. Cleanse the evil from our schools. Give us godly teachers and school administrators. May we fight for our children against evil!

I pulled my 2 Children out of the public school. Last year.Thank you Lord Jesus! If any parent can…please do. All this filth in the schools is disgusting and vile. They are in a Christian Curriculum with Bible classes. And excelling to the top. Abeka Academy….out of FL. They are awesome. Praise God in the highest.
Not surprised at all by all agreeing to this woke ideology being pushed at schools and now wrong it is. Once again it’s the government pushing this not for the people or by the people, just like the no child left behind act as it became to be called.
And again the government is not hearing or listening to the people.
Our children are, by and large NOT being well-educated. The US is falling way behind in science, math, and reading but soaring above other nations in grooming kids for transgender and homosexual behavior.
With the millions of illegal immigrants coming in, the demands on schools to absorb children from this source is also overwhelming in many areas.
Something drastic needs to happen in our schools. Our children need a renewal of excellent academic and moral education.

Father, in line with Your Word in I Timothy 2:1-5, we pray for the salvation, heart transformation, and repentance of those who promote this hostility-based “woke” culture in schools. We pray for Your power in our hearts to rise above fear and hostility without being weak or giving in to deception or manipulation. Be bigger than they are, both in our schools and within our hearts. In Jesus’ name, Amen
