Dem Lawmakers Call for Halt on Arms Sales to Saudi Arabia After OPEC+ Cut

Reps. Ro Khanna of California and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, both Democrats, on Sunday called on Congress to halt arms sales to Saudi Arabia in response to OPEC+ curbing oil supply by 2 million barrels per day, equal to 2% of global supply.
Saudi Arabia is OPEC’s de facto leader, and the White House last week said it was “clear” Opec+ was “aligning with Russia.”
“Members of Congress are already talking about how best to respond,” Khanna and Blumenthal wrote in an op-ed in Politico, titled “The Best Way to Respond to Saudi Arabia’s Embrace of Putin.”… (Excerpt from Newsmax)
