Father God, Almighty creative wonder of truth and light. I lift my prayer before you in the late night hours of darkness for this man who stands up to represent his people. Grant him the understanding of the men of Issachar, that had understanding of the times, and new what Israel ougth to do. I pray Pauls prayer for the Ephesians over him. Eph 1:18��The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of God's calling you into office. Protect, bless, and prosper this one who weathers the storms of politics to represent his people. Health, wellness, safety, and prosperity be unto his loved ones, his staff, and those fine people he represents. Amen and Amen.

Father, thank You for Representative LaHood's years of service to Congress and the state of Illinois. Please continue to guide him as he works to ensure the safety of our children, respect and support our precious veterans, and hold the government accountable for fiscal responsibility and transparency in spending. Encourage him and uphold him with Your righteous right hand as he stands for the sanctity of human life, protecting our unborn children. Give him wisdom and discernment as he continues to work on issues that come against our Constitution, and guard him from signing into law any document which is excessively long without taking the time to read and sort through all the verbiage. Do not allow him to be swayed or blind-sided by opinions of others, but may he study to show himself approved regarding every file that crosses his desk for review. Bless him and keep him safe. I pray, in the name of Jesus, over Representative Darin LaHood: that he is convicted to accept Your Word, God, as his standard, to store up Your commands within him, to turn his ear to wisdom and apply his heart to understanding. I pray he is convicted to call out for insight, cry aloud for understanding, to apply the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God (Proverbs 2: 1-19). "Thus (he) will (be prepared to) walk in the ways of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous. For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; but the wicked will be cut off from the land and the unfaithful will be torn from it" (Proverbs 2: 21-22). Dear Father in Jesus' Name, I lift my my US Representative Darin LaHood. Thank you that he has a strong pro-life conviction and that He votes accordingly. I pray for him to have a personal encounter with You so that he realizes that he can be assured of his sins forgiven and eternal life by confessing his sins and accepting Jesus' payment for them on the cross and by His triumphant resurrection. Help him to realize that good works or religious activities are not going to save him. Bring others across his path to share their faith here in Illinois and in Washington DC or any where he goes. Help him to know how much You love him and that if he was the only person on earth, you would have died for him. I pray he will also be filled and baptized with the Holy Spirit when he accepts You Jesus into his heart and for his whole household to be saved. Grant him the wisdom he needs to make right choices and decisions in his personal and political life and that he will seek You and find You when he does this with all his heart. Father, we bless Rep. LaHood. I thank you that he is a godly , pro-life leader and a godly husband and father. Give him wisdom from above and strength in his duties. We pray Blood covered protection around him and his family and staff. Give him victory in the election Lord, and grant him peace in his personal life. In Jesus' name!
