Lamentations 3:25 (NASB20) "The LORD is good to those who await Him, To the person who seeks Him." Lord, from ancient times You have welcomed those who seek You. And today we seek You on behalf of our President and this nation. Our nation is in turmoil, mostly because of our own fecklessness, the "fruit" of blasphemy and unrighteousness. "Woe to those who call good evil and evil good!" You have warned us, You have given us mercy and we have spent Your mercy on our own pleasures instead of seeking You to live righteously before You. And yet, we ask for Your mercy again, knowing that only Your kindness will lead to repentance. But cause us not to be like Pharaoh, who hardened his heart after You relented, instead of walking humbly before You. As the election season moves into full swing, we ask for discernment through all the noise and accusations. May righteousness be the theme, and good governance the object and Your Name held in high esteem. Lord defeat the forces of evil that would bring our nation into further destruction. And Lord, instead of fanning the flames of war, we ask that our leaders be instrumental in bringing peace to Ukraine. Lord, we ask that hostilities would end between Israel and Iran, and that the Hamas terrorists be brought to justice. Only You can bring peace to both regions. We ask these things in Jesus, Powerful Name!! Amen!!
