I Prayed have prayed
Father, help us to vote our biblical values in this upcoming election.
Reading Time: 3 minutes

As Election Day draws closer, arguments are heating up and tensions are rising. Fingers are pointing and people are fixated on headlines and hearings. But, the presidential candidates are not the only ones being weighed in the balance.

The warfare we are facing isn’t just about the outcome of an election. It’s ultimately about the readiness of the Ekklesia to take her place. The battles we’ve gone through have been a test. The Church is on trial, and we are being evaluated as to our readiness to spiritually govern a nation. The hearing for the next Supreme Court justice is but a prophetic reflection of our own hearing now taking place in heaven’s courts. Are we ready to judge with heaven’s eyes and the King’s heart? Are we ready to reside over the affairs of man with the righteousness of God’s Word? How we respond – and how we vote – will determine our future legislative authority, both in the natural as well as the spirit.

“Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your Kingdom.” (Psalm 45:6 NIV)

The values and platforms of the two major political parties are diametrically opposed to one another and represent two different kingdom mindsets. The Democratic party’s platform presents a vision where man is god and government is the source. They promise freedom from authority and provision without cost. Their utopia is one without God, without prayer, and without any adherence to the timeless principles of God’s Word. Without embracing a biblical worldview, they are leading their followers to a socialist servitude that will only bring a poverty of both soul and spirit. It is a kingdom of man’s making that is doomed to fail.

The Kingdom of heaven does not compromise truth for man’s approval or sacrifice righteousness for an earthly reward. It is unwavering in its adherence to God’s laws and the free will of man. Unlike the Democratic platform, the platform of the Republican Party honors and embraces the sovereignty of God and the authority of absolutes. Their written record clarifies a position where life is sacred and covenant is valued. The vision they present, and the actions they’ve already taken, are much more aligned to a biblical worldview and Kingdom priorities.

Though individuals within both parties are flawed and compromised, the written records of each party testify to their intent and bear witness in heaven’s courts. They have both clearly presented the values they hold and the unseen kingdoms they serve. When we cast a vote for a candidate and their party, we are bearing witness to their worldview and the kingdom for which they stand. Thus, we are not simply voting to put a man in office, we are choosing which kingdom we will serve. We must realize the gravity of this choice on both sides of the veil.

Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. (Luke 12:51)

We have been praying for mercy, but it is a time of reckoning. We can no longer waiver between two opinions. Time is short and before we can have any lasting peace, there is a painful separation that must occur between the kingdoms of men and the Kingdom of God. Especially within the Church, we must make the right choice for the right reason. Just recently, a growing number of prominent church leaders have sided with enlightened thought and a humanist agenda, thus making the wrong choice. Saying they are “evangelicals” who now justify murder in the womb for a better “qualify of life”, they have stirred heaven’s fury. There will be dire consequences for their decision, as there will be for any who not only defy God’s Word, but use His name to justify their disobedience (see Jeremiah 23:38-40). We must not give in to the ways of men for empty claims of social relevance.

Our values are determined by who we serve, and our conscience is only as good as what we feed it. If we are going to vote our values or our conscience, we cannot bow to mainstream thought or feed on public opinion, but abide in the Living Word that never changes and is forever just. The kingdoms of man may be alluring to the flesh, but for those who will not trade their eternal inheritance for a bowl of spoiled soup, the lasting promises of the Kingdom of heaven are worth the fight.

Thank you Wanda for your article. Isaiah 9:6-7 reveals the magnitude and scope of the Father’s purpose in sending His Son: from HIS birth He was directed to initiate and establish His government in all the earth. The cross was the first initiative. The 12 apostles were the foundation/establishment of His government. Now completed. Next is the interviewing process to find qualified candidates for the increase of His government in the earth, the ekklesia, which has been going on for over 2000+ years. How we interview with Him and Holy Spirit depends upon us. In this moment of history, our behavior, obedience to His voice and quickness to execute it, will determine what office we will occupy in His kingdom here on earth and in eternity. Therefore, my prayer for us all contending for the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, is “let us be about our Lord’s business.” Pray. War. Intercede. Stand in gap. Decree. Sit with Him and rule with Him. Endure hardness as a good soldier.I could go on, but anyone reading this already knows what to do!😉

Father God, in the Name of Jesus, awaken your Body to under the criticalness of the hours. May we as Your Body recognize the importance of the Election before us. May we understand that while You are indeed sovereign, you work in tandem with us in giving us choice.

We can conclude from past and present history that governments can either help perpetuate the Good News or prevent it from going forth. We can see from the current examples in Korea, China, Iran, Venezuela how our fellow brothers and sisters are persecuted, martyred, and even have to meet underground. Our efforts to take the gospel to them are further impeded.

Most recently, we have witnessed how the government can impact the operation of the Church by enforcing mandates. Churches in Canada can not preach about the sanctity of marriage between a man and woman because of the laws protecting same-sex marriage. The governor in California financially penalizing churches that are holding in-person services. Oh, what an effect the last Administration had on marriages, children and families, i.e., sanctioning same-sex marriage, pushing for transgender rights, recognizing people living together as tax deductible.

May we make a decision that positively impacts your Kingdom in all its facets, i.e., recognizing marriage as the unit that you ordained; allowing babies to be born and live their full life; allowing Your Word to be preached in churches without penalty; allowing schools to recognize that the USA was founded for the purpose of free worship; that man can use their God-given talents to labor and do good. May Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!

thank you and bless you Suzy.
Let us repent for the sins of our nation and society when God’s people stayed quietly in the shadows as babies were killed, same sex marriage was approved, living together was deemed equivalent to marriage etc.

Let us humble ourselves and pray loudly and earnestly for almighty God to forgive us and heal our nation. We are hopeless without our Savior. All glory to our forgiving Lord.
      Amen

Father-God, please open the blinders in the eyes and hearts of these “evangelicals” who now justify murder in the womb. Please remind them that we are (including them) all created in God’s image and NO HUMAN have right to kill ourselves let alone kill other people. Please have mercy on their souls, if it is Your will for them to repent right now / today so that they can lead a life that is pleasing to You to not be a stumbling stone to other young believers. We love these so call “evangelicals” who now justify murder in the womb but You love them more. Please Father-God, let them know clearly in their heart that YOU ARE MAD at them with them for justifying murder in the womb. And for them to immediately REPENT and admit they have mad mistake with such decision. For them to share the verses that GOD is PRO-LIFE. In Jesus Name we pray and thank You.
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

I supported abortion laws in the 70:s but God changed my whole heart. We were arrogant and selfish.

My spoiled generation had no vision of the consequences of abortion. The church went silent and shrunk. Have 60 million abortions stopped poverty? Have we stopped racism when 1/3 of those babies are black? What happened to the 60 million men or women involved; are they sad today? Do we minister to them?

My question to these ministers in the supporting articles: Why have we given the government our job to feed Jesus’ lambs? I have learned helping people locally, face to face, is very different than supporting US programs. We have enough wealth to do it ourselves! Maybe we should look at our church finances.

God will help us in ways we never imagined when we are honest and repent of this great sin! How many candidates have had Trump’s courage to stand against abortion? Seeing the baby developing in the womb makes me cry. What a marvel! You have a chance to let God work this out with Trump; He can do it without you though. I can hardly wait to see what God says in this election,

We have been so wrong! It is now or face Gods judgement! Will we have another chance.

Father God, you are the God of the universe and all creation, the God ofAbraham, Moses, David,Solomon and Daniel. These wise men drew their strength, courage and conviction from you. Their success was given from your wise counsel.
Lord, let us all follow these examples from Your Word on how to make good godly decisions in all aspects of our lives.
The choices we face today in our upcoming election are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Lord, As Jesus followers we must evaluate and decide which option is God’s choice, as we know He places leaders.

God we cry out to you for wisdom and discernment. God’s message is always straight forward and simple. Strip away the complexities and look for God’s Truth.

As Jesus followers, there can be but one choice in this election…We must choose life.
I hear God saying stand up for LIFE…We must remove the scourge of abortion that has hurt this nation.
And in standing for Life, you stand for Jesus who said…Let The little children come onto me.
For Jesus followers there is only one choice, to reelect Pres. Trump that God has appointed.
Thank you Jesus, thank you Abba Father, thank you Adonai. All glory to God for wisdom and discernment. Praise God!

“God may bless us for the sake of others when He might not bless us for our own. You have heard, I daresay, the monkish story of the man who had preached, and had won many souls to Christ, and congratulated himself upon it. One night, it was revealed to him that he should have none of the honour of it at the last great day; and he asked the angel in his dream who then would have the credit of it, and the angel replied, ‘That deaf old man who sits on the pulpit stairs, and prays for you, was the means of the blessing.’ Let us be thankful for that deaf man, or, that old woman, or those poor praying friends who bring down a blessing upon us by their intercessions. The Spirit of God will bless two when He might not bless one. Abraham alone did not get one of the five cities saved, although his prayer was like a ton weight in the scale; but yonder was his nephew Lot, who was about the poorest lot that could be found. He had not more than half-an-ounce of prayer in him; but that tiny fragment turned the scale, and Zoar was preserved. Add then your odd half-ounce to the mightier weight of the pleadings of eminent saints, for they may need it.” Spurgeon
