I Prayed

With just seconds left on the clock the whistle blew for a final timeout. The players hung their heads. Sweat poured off their faces as they slowly walked to the sidelines. They had given it their all but had failed.
They may have admitted defeat, but their coach had not. “BUILD A WALL! BUILD A WALL!” he instructed. Suddenly hope arose along with new found strength. Where just seconds before they had accepted defeat, they now sprung into action.
This is my favorite part of the movie, Facing the Giants. I believe in America we are in that same time in the game with just seconds left…
In the movie, the team had transformed from one of the worst to contenders in the playoffs. Now as they faced a giant of a team, their focus and hard worked still didn’t seem to be enough to win. With seconds remaining their defeat seemed imminent.
Until they heard a familiar voice passionately shouting, “BUILD A WALL! BUILD A WALL!
They knew that voice, it was their coach. They also knew what he meant – he had taught them about building walls from the life of Nehemiah.
Today, I hear the same thing in my spirit, “Build a wall! Build a wall!”
Now is not the time to give up and lay down our freedom. While it may appear all hope is lost, it is not. God always has a way of escape. (1 Cor 10:13)
There is a moment in every sports event when it could seem all is lost with no way for a comeback. Yet, time after time, haven’t we heard of stories where the game shifts and is won in the final seconds?
In those final moments, the players have to determine to tighten their positions. What does that mean?
It means they go on high alert. They squeeze in closer to their teammate to hold the line and refuse to allow any opposition to cross that line. They build a wall. Shoulder to shoulder they stand firm. They hold their ground.
The Bible says it this way. Having done all, they stand (Eph 6:13).
How, then, do we build a wall today? With the Word of God.
We declare and decree what God’s Word says concerning our nation.
- We continue to speak what God’s seasoned and accurate prophets are saying.
- We double down on the prayers we have been praying over our nation.
- We stand shoulder to shoulder with other believers, in agreement with the word of God, not the media, and refuse to allow any opposition to get past us.
- We share encouragement and truth with our friends.
I know we are weary. It has been a long and challenging year. Many of us have positioned ourselves to hold up the arms of the weary ones fighting on the frontlines for our nation. That is what God would have us do. But lately, I have also considered the weariness of the intercessors holding up the arms of those on the frontline.
When Moses’ arms grew tired, Aaron and Hur brought a stone for him to sit on, while they stood beside him and held up his arms, holding them steady until the sun went down. In this way Joshua totally defeated the Amalekites. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write an account of this victory, so that it will be remembered. Tell Joshua that I will completely destroy the Amalekites” (Ex 17:12-14.)
How did Aaron and Hur hold steady until the enemy was totally defeated? It had to be the grace and strength of God. We must lean into God’s grace and strength during this hour and continue to hold up the arms of those on the frontlines. I am convinced, as we do, God will completely destroy the enemy attempting to annihilate our nation and its freedom.
Yes, it’s the last seconds of the game. Yes, somedays it feels hopeless. Don’t give into that. Instead, build a wall–an impenetrable fortress of the Word of God over our nation and its leaders. Build the wall and stand firm with your sword (Word of God) in hand. Victory is assured in God.

I am not an eloquent writer like Kim but was just reading 2 Chronicals Chapter 30. It tells the story of Hezekiah and how he called Israel and Judah back to God. It spoke to me that at this time America has been called back to God. Giving up now is missing the celebrations that occurred when worship and holiness was restored. Hezekiah invited all to come to the celebration and even had runners go out to invite those who could not come for a second celebration. He even implored God to overlook the requirements of the Law and forgive their sin. We have been repenting, praying,getting in tune with God and I pray you are looking forward to the celebration we we have when God is finished with His clean up operation. Stay the course, “rejoicing comes in the morning”.

This was a hard day for me to return to the prayer line, fighting sickness and some sadness. The Lord knew I needed this particular article. Lately I have thought of the prophets of old, Moses at the parting of the Red Sea. God did not have Moses part the waters until the last moment. Abraham and Isaac as Abraham lifted his arm to sacrifice his only son was when God stepped in at the last moment. There are many others stories and for some reason God works that way. I believe that God has chosen to work like this because He had to wake the church, the Body of Christ. I pray that He will find me faithful to His call and I pray for my brothers and sisters at IFA, that together we will be faithful and link our shields together as we pray a covering for our nation and continue building that wall. Thank you for encouraging us today/tonight. God bless you.

Several of us have been praying together daily for the election, and we have maintained hope because it seems that every time a door closes, God opens another one somewhere. But today it seemed the walls were closing in. Then I received my first introduction to IFA, and it has made my hope soar to realize what a WALL of believers are praying for America! To the leaders of IFA: THANKYOU!
Hallelujah to the King of Kings, our just and righteous Judge who rules and reigns over our nation. Reign over the minds of the Supreme Court justices, LORD, as they hear the testimonies of fraud of those who intended to steal this election. With You all things are possible – so I ask that the evidence of fraud presented today will be so overwhelming that the eyes and ears of each judge will clearly see it and that justice will prevail in this election! How interesting to see this article about a wall! In today’s article “5 Dangerous Results of Giving Up” a commenting sister named Debby said this:
“Last night while praying I saw a glass wall. The enemy hit the wall with a force that should have shattered it…BUT God! Instead, it was the enemy that shattered and fell to the floor in pieces. The wall is the prayers of the saints that are having an effect in the spirit world. I encourage all to stay on your knees and don’t give up the fight.”

The shield of faith that God has promised and provided for us in His Word, is designed to be linked together with other believers as we stand shoulder to shoulder and side by side as we move forward together, like an impenetrable wall in warfare battle, to take back the ground that the enemy has stolen.
I am so weary not only have I been praying for our nation and our leaders but also my husband is disabled and lives in fear of this covid I also work full time with children that are at best very hard to deal with and this year they are anxious and troubled and need reassuring at times when there is none to give but somehow we dig deep for them and try. Also my daughter is not saved her and her family and she has also thrown my grandson away like a piece of trash because he did some things she didn’t like when she has always done worse in front of her children. I can’t talk to her because she doesn’t like being told that she needs to forgive and ask forgiveness. Please help me pray for all these needs!!

Marlene – I pray the Lord will renew your strength and restore the joy of your salvation! I, too, am dealing with family issues. In fact, before I read your response I wondered if anyone else was experiencing this type of enemy attack. My mom with Alzheimer’s has lived with me for 11 years and she has become more obstinate in the last few days and cursing at me when I’m trying to help her. I know it’s the enemy intensifying during this time of warfare for our nation – if he can get us distracted and annoyed with those around us, we feel like our prayers are less effective. It has helped me to play praise and worship videos by Ron Kenoly….especially The Battle is the Lord’s and Going Up To The High Places – it changes the atmosphere in my home and my spirit! God’s Blessings, Sister – hang in there. The LORD is good and His mercy endures forever!

I will remember you in prayer. I hear your struggle. You have a hard hard situation. I too had long difficult years of trials & remain alone & disabled with a vicious disease; however He has provided faithful friends to see me thru. He is faithful. I pray people will reach out to help but honestly Ive had to do Alot of asking. I encourage you to ask & find a church w practical love & solid Biblical teaching to aid you.
It sounds like there is much emotional & relational dysfunction. I have had to learn & grow in these difficult family areas…40 years of learning how to set boundaries, not continue in unhealthy patterns, see where crises kept cycling & repeating so I could break free of them…..& some hard uncomfortable choices & many failures! I pray that healthy strong people & information (christian counsel) would come to you so that you might be able to handle distress better & be able to return to joy. Refrain from the fear. Dont prolong the negative emotions; thats where the enemy gets a foothold. Share them with Him then release for good to the altar. Subject them to the Spirit. Retrain your brain …thoughts are Vital** to all areas; help your husband quote Scripture; ask Jesus to show you what the source of the fear is; He will not abandon you. With Being fully dependent, fear of being alone in crisis & abandoned comes easily. I myself have been hedged in to such a degree that I have no choice but to trust Him! Good fruit!! So Acknowledge that He is always working! then lay your daughter & family at His feet. He uses time! & You are not required to carry these many heavy burdens! So lay down the ones that you really should not be owning. I pray for practical discernment. your children will learn to get quiet when they see parents at rest & trusting our Good Fatherpersevere & trust. (Rom 15:17??) Remember Mary & Martha.
Try this habit**…getting still*& Quiet; dont pray yet…with the Lord every day, even 10 minutes, & viciously guard this time. (Here I recommend resources thru Shepherds House & the Life Model): acknowledge that He is right there, sees you, hears you, validates your hardship, wants to be with you, & wants to help. Write down/journal your impressions at each of these points & make a habit of staying connected “emotionally” w Him to bring stability. when in distress go back to these & see His hand 🙂 I pray you would know His power w/in you that you might find daily peace amidst your storms.
I pray your husband will be well supplied for all his needs. I pray you would say in the worst, this Will* pass.

I to have lived in fear and stayed in over 6 months, I went to church Sunday for the first time. Living in fear is worst than stepping out on faith. Wear a mask and wash your hands as soon as you leave the church, I didn’t shake hands and it has been almost a week. My daughter works in the OR and sometimes does surgeries on Covid patients, she said wear a mask and wash your hands and you/he will be fine. Pray before you go and when you return, we pray over food for its sanctification pray over yourself for the same, I see us trusting our food is safe but lacking faith the same God will keep us safe. I was blinded and in chains, praise the Lord I am free. Get your husband out on missions for the Lord take in peanut butter fudge to shut ins, men and women widows, etc. It is easy to make and he can make it if wants! Right now is a time your grandson will and can be reached to bring to Christ or back to the fold; it sounds like Grandpa and him need some together time. He is the greatest mission field that is close to home. He can go with Grandpa on these outings even if it is a drive in the country. Praise music sure does chase away the devil keep it playing in the car, home, and in your work place it is hard to be down when there is great music on. Early detection loss of taste/smell and cold symptoms will require a quick Dr’s visit and be put on Vpack and an inhaler, nothing to serious if you go right in. The key is going right in. I was robbed almost of year by fear, life is better living on faith, and using the wisdom God gives us to good health hygeine. I am praying along with your brothers and sisters in Christ for you, your husband, daughter, and grandson. The victory is the Lord’s, you all are the Lord’s! In Jesus name heal this family Lord, show them your power and love, draw Marlene’s grandson to you and bring him to repentance and cover his mother in your love and show her the same. As she sees her mother and father’s loving joyful walk praising you and stepping our on faith, so let her be encouraged and follow! Terry, do you live near other intercessors who get together? I have been praying to have others to pray with. I have one who we text but do not meet up with. I am just so lonely to have someone to talk to about praying.
Linda, I think isolation and loneliness do not help in the battle of discouragement. I have been praying today for a way to know how many are with us in the fight. I do have a praying church. But I also join several online prayer groups.

Yes, amen, thank you for this great insight! ”May we see fresh new prayer warriors move to the front lines.” As we get tired and discouraged we move to the back for a time of renewal and refreshment while our fellow prayer warrior brothers and sisters move up, and so on and so forth. God tells us to not grow weary in doing good and pray without ceasing, but I am growing weary and tired. Psalm 94:3-4 asks “How long, O LORD? How long will the wicked be allowed to gloat? How long will they speak with arrogance? How long will these evil people boast? Psalm 75:2 gives us the answer “God says, “At the time I have planned, I will bring justice to the wicked.” Amen, blessed be the name of the LORD!
Father, You are our source of strength. Strengthen us now we pray. Father, strengthen us in Your mercy and grace. By You we can run through a troop; and leap over a wall; in You our hands can bend a bow of steel. Let us and help us raise walls of fire to burn every corruption, lying, deception, and falsehood. The world knows that America is different and has stood as a beacon of hope to all people. The world is now watching to see if our God will rescue us from the evil that seeks to destroy us. Or if our light has gone out and we are just another Venezuela, China or Russia. God divinely inspired our founding fathers, our Constitution and our laws. But our tremendous sin has opened the door to the evil that seeks to destroy us. Our walls have been chipped away and evil is now so bold that it is telling us it is coming to destroy us. It laughs as it tells us how it is coming for our families, our churches, our jobs, our money our homes … our America! Evil has a strong foothold in America … but God can change our course with a word!
I confess I have felt helpless as the days tick by and I watch so many American’s succumbing to the evil’s heaped on us by our so called leaders in government. I wish I could do more for those impacted more than I, but I also know that this is a spiritual battle and it can only be won in the spiritual realm. So I pray! I pray that this very day the Supreme Court will take the case from Texas and rule in favor of our Constitution, of righteousness and FREEDOM and that the elections in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia will be found illegitimate and cast out. What a message that will send to those who boldly lie and cheat!
I pray for strength, wisdom, boldness and safety for those leading this charge. And that God will restrain those who will seek to rebel against such an outcome and further destroy our cities and business owners. May their plans be foiled and confused and may they turn on each other as the Midianites did!
I pray for all the business owners that are suffering due to unconstitutional lockdowns that they will be able to sue and those responsible will be held accountable and removed from office. I pray that America would return to God and that once again good would be called good and evil called evil! And that God would get the glory! Yes, we are in the final seconds, let us not grow weary.

Ill never forget prophet Kim Clement said what do you see watchman on the wall! Tjey said we see an army rising up and their only weapon is a simple stone. The others thought they would be annihilated, but no David used a stone to destroy the enemy.

As a lot of other believers, I have been experiencing blatant attacks from the enemy, health issues specifically (lots). In truth, I am blessed with good health.
Earlier this morning when I first awoke and was talking to Abba about all the symptoms going on in my body, I sensed Him say “They are not true”. I got up and told the devil that Jesus took care of the curse for me on a Cross, and I am covered by His blood, and no weapon formed against me will prosper. And I added, like Nehemiah, I will not come down from the wall. When I saw this article, it was confirmation for me. We cannot quit . We cannot give up. The joy of the Lord is our strength. This is The Truth. He is still with us!!
I am in pain this a.m. and I planned to go to church today. Pray that this will pass.

.You have hit the nail on the head. The Lord had me in Nehemiah last weekend as I was developing a prayer calendar. It’s unusual for me to sleep through the night due to a back injury, but God is healing it and I got a good rest last night. However, I feel like I’ve left a gap in the wall as I slept. I pray there were others praying. Yes, we are weary, but God is strengthening us and we need to encourage others to hang in there in prayer. I feel like we are in the last days as I have seen struggle getting worse for thirty years and the Lord has said, “the enemy knows he doesn’t have much time left and he’s getting bold.” That was His message to me 15 years ago. We must endure and persevere as He tells us in the letters to the churches of the Revelation. Please keep these IFA messages going. Jesus is the victory.

Build the Wall, then I read the book of Nehemiah, below is the message that I would like to share regarding how Nehemiah and the Israel people build the wall when the enemies try to stop them,
“Those who were rebuilding the wall and those who carried burdens loaded themselves so that everyone worked with one hand and held a weapon with the other. Every builder had his sword secured at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet [to summon the troops] stood at my side. I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “The work is great and extensive, and we are separated on the wall, far from one another. Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, gather to us there. Our God will fight for us.” So we carried on with the work with half of them holding spears from dawn until the stars came out. At that time I also said to the people, “Let each man with his servant spend the night inside Jerusalem so that they may serve as a guard for us at night and a laborer during the day.” So neither I, my brothers (relatives), my servants, nor the men of the guard who followed me, none of us took off our clothes; each took his weapon [even] to the water.”

This is a spiritual warfare, but we are more than conquerors, because the Spirit inside of us is bigger than any spirit in this world, we believe that God is using the man from Cyrus to fulfill His purpose, like what Isaiah 46 said

Thank you, Evy. You are another confirmation for me that this is the Lord talking to us. We must be taking up the sword of God’s daily so we are equipped to fight with the angels in this battle. We already have the victory, but it takes awhile to see it manifested in our lives. Hallelujah, Jesus.
War is War!!!! Ever since satin stole the Glory of God from Adam, It has been all out war in the Heavenlies to win it back. Here we are at the precipice of time and the battle is raging!!!!! This is certainly not the time to quit!!! We serve a God that has never left us or forsaken us, nor will He ever!!!
