If all 50 Senate Democrats vote to convict Mr. Trump, they would need at least 17 Republicans to convict Mr. Trump and then bar him from ever holding federal office again.
Republicans are very concerned about a backlash from Trump supporters, either through primary challenges or a breakaway party loyal to the former president.

If both parties are truly interested in healing our nation they should not proceed with the impeachment of Mr. Trump. I will not vote for or support any Republican who votes for his impeachment. Have you ever considered that the reason the legislatures want to impeach Trump is because he never left his role as commander in chief of the armed forces and he left the capital under military occupation? In a recent Epoch times article, the National Guard will remain there until late March.

I’m not an American, I’m an intercessor. This impeachment process is divisive and unfruitful. Pray that it just doesn’t go anywhere. In the meantime I encourage fellow intercessors to take a long term view on what’s going on in your nation and pray and fast for long periods. Constitutionally they absolutely cannot impeach Donald Trump. It will never happen.
HOWEVER, Joe Biden can legally, Constitutionally and easily be impeached. There are so many legal reasons that prove he is unfit for the office of president, and must be immediately removed from office through the impeachment process.

Trump supporters are for the most part peaceful people. I believe those who stormed the capitol were paid by the left to try and discredit President Trump. I have seen so many people discouraged & giving up on our Lord. How concerned are they with what is happening in our nation. My life has been a hard one: 1st husband who beat me for over 8 years, 2nd one who left me after 30 years & told me that I could have him if I left my God (by this time I had fell in love with my God), have been serving Him since 1971, 3rd one was a good man but the last 5 years of his life he got dementia & didn’t know who I was (he is in Heaven waiting for me now). All the abuse started when I was 4 yrs. old, but I never blamed God. Like you I have a Ministerial License. Jesus is the only hope for this nation & I remind Him of this every morning during my worship/prayer time. Our nation is barely holding on to God & I remind the enemy to let God people go that they can worship God. My church has opened up & we are in God presence every Sunday. I love worshiping him & encouraging the family of God.

I watched the videos of President Trump’s responses regarding the violence at the Capitol on January 6th. In those remarks, I never heard any reference to inciting violence or insurrection. In fact, he spoke against violence and clearly said that those involved in laying siege to the Capitol did NOT represent his views or those who were there to protest peacefully.

I am praying for due process and for the Truth of God to be revealed. I do not believe that this impeachment serves any good or Godly purpose for our country – i think Pelosi should be removed from office and much of these issues would stop. She is as unhealthy and narcissistic as any other leader. I was one of those, being from a younger generation and simply a younger believer. My pastor at the time brought politics into church (which I didn’t like). But by the end of service my heart was convicted. I haven’t understood all that is happening, my prayers a little all over the place.. my biggest wrestle today is the clash between God’s will and the free will of man. I’ve heard President Trump likened to Cyrus and King David, but why can’t what God has done through Trump stand alone? Its amazing and would be even more amazing to see Trump’s heart fully committed to Jesus. I pray that our leaders would be stopped in their tracks and consider the convictions of their heart. The thought had crossed my mind that maybe God allowed President Trump to be our president was to bring him to full repentance and acceptance of Jesus as his Lord and savior.
