I Prayed have prayed
Father, thank You for these individuals meeting together for this event. We ask that the body of Christ would be more united than ever before.

Did you hear about the large Christian gatherings in Washington, DC this weekend? Did you see the news reports about the mayhem? The looting? The vandalism? The calls to “Burn it down!”? Did you hear the speakers calling for acts of violence and destruction? Oh, you didn’t? That’s because tens of thousands of Christians did gather in DC this weekend, but they came to pray for the nation and repent for their sins.

The two main events were The Return, which began Friday night and ended Saturday night, and Franklin Graham’s prayer march, which was held from noon to 2:00 PM Saturday afternoon.

Worship Prevailed

Both events attracted tens of thousands, and The Return was watched by a reported global audience of tens of millions. But there were no angry voices. No calls for violence. No fistfights. Or brawls. Or looting. Or shooting at police. . . .

Worship prevailed. Prayer prevailed. Humility prevailed. Repentance prevailed.

The goal of The Return and Prayer March 2020 is not to impress people. The goal was to get the attention of our Father in heaven. . . .

We, the followers of Jesus, have sinned and fallen short. We who are called to be light of the world and the salt of the earth have not lived up to our high and lofty calling.

That’s why The Return began its Saturday morning program with pastors and leaders asking for God’s mercy and confessing their sin. Repentance starts with us.

Divine Timing

Significantly, Saturday was also the day when President Trump announced his nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to replace the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Who could have foreseen this? These events were planned months in advance, at which time no one had any idea that Justice Ginsburg would pass away, let alone pass away during this sacred season on the biblical calendar.

Even the timing of Trump’s announcement seemed propitious. As I tweeted, “So, Ruth Bader Ginsburg passes away at the beginning of the Jewish New Year, as the shofar blast is heard, & Amy Coney Barrett is announced as her replacement as shofars were being blasted at The Return event in DC, watched by 10s of millions globally. Coincidence?”

On this same day, Saturday, September 26, 2020, major prayer gatherings were held in the Philippines and other nations as well. . . .

The Scale of Justice, a Plea for Mercy

But this is exactly what we must do. We are in the midst of a global pandemic, a global shutdown, a time of global shaking — and that means there nothing more important we can do than pray. All the more does this hold true in America, where deep divisions are literally tearing us apart.

But the goal of these gatherings is not to impress people. The goal is not to put on a performance and please the crowds. The goal is to get the attention of our Father in heaven. Only He can turn the hearts of a nation. And only He can hold back His judgment and wrath.

In Jewish tradition, the constellation sign associated with Tishrei, the seventh (and current) month of the biblical calendar (but the first month of the traditional calendar), is a pair of scales, symbolizing the scales of justice.

As one Jewish website explains,

The symbol of the month of Tishrei is a pair of scales.  How fitting are the scales of justice to this month!  On the Day of Judgment, Rosh Hashanah, our good deeds and mitzvos (commandments) are weighed against our sins.  If we have more mitzvos than sins, we are inscribed for another year of life.  Obviously, this is not a quantitative evaluation, that is, the number of offenses verses the number of good deeds.  The judgment takes into account the quality of our deeds.

Yet even with the very best quality of deeds, and even when we work our hardest, there is no way America could survive a test like this, weighing our good deeds against our bad deeds. How much weight does a single abortion carry, let alone tens of millions? How much weight does a single act of sex trafficking carry, let alone tens of thousands?

That’s why we plead for mercy. That’s why we repent so deeply. That’s why, in the synagogues, beginning Sunday night, Jewish prayers will focus on pleas for mercy and lengthy confessions of sin. There is no boasting of our own righteousness in the sight of a holy God.

That’s why these gatherings in DC, with minimal press coverage and without the drama of the protests and the riots, could well be the thing that saves the nation. And while the media may not have paid sufficient attention, we trust that God Himself did.

That is what really matters.

Father, In Jesus’ Name, thank You Jesus is the perfect sacrifice for sin. He fulfilled the law completely.
Thank You that we live under the New Covenant of Love, Mercy, and Grace. I pray that all who do not know Jesus as their Savior will heed the witness of the Holy Spirit to the truth that in order to be saved, one must acknowledge that Jesus is the only way to a perfect life in eternity. He is the Savior of the world.

Lord, Your Word tells us that many would reject Jesus, and the Truth, but I thank you so many came to Washington, in repentance, to acknowledge the Triune God, and ask for His forgiveness for sins.

As You turned back the clock for Hezekiah, so turn back the clock for America, and for people around the world. Grant us Your mercy and peace. Calm the storm(s) around the world. Have mercy, Lord. You are the Miracle Worker. You are the Potter, and we are the clay. Praise, Honor, Glory to Your Name. Amen

I watched, prayed and fasted for the March to Washington dc and the return only u-tube gave complete program: there were groups also Texas doing virtual and praying: the last count was 75-100,000 attend : that didn’t count those at home, and abroad: we could see the heart of the LORD for America.i prayed a song written in Spanish: America will be for JESUS YESHUA: the only path to GOD THE FATHER: but said those who call themselves the voice of reporting don’t want to admit that they failed this nation with good report.our prayer is that the heralds of the nation will bow their knees in prayer thanking GOD OF HEAVEN and declare the truth. That the spirit of the LORD will cause them to speak the truth and like balaam not be able to proclaim evilness. In JESUS YESHUA NAME .

I was there at The Return, and it was GLORIOUS! My heart was burning — on fire — for The Lord, along with thousands representing the Body of Christ. It was a picture of Heaven: every race, every background coming together to repent to and to adore the King of Kings, Lord of Lords. It was 3 hours on Friday night; and 12 hours on Saturday. I heard that the Simulcast was seen by over 1 billion globally! There is no separation of time or distance in the Spirit. It’s not too late: You can still join in by going to The Return website http://www.TheReturn.org and praying, repenting, singing and praising to the Lord!
And there’s a second national/international repentance wave coming from Houston, Texas with the Revival for the Survival of the USA on 10-10-2020 (there’s a great God-story there!) with a free simulcast to join in: http://www.Revival4Survival.org And both of these repentance days are only the beginning: both have plans for launching outreach and discipleship programs that will fuel Revival and beyond until Jesus comes.
Rise up, faithful remnant! We need YOU to join in repentance!
God has secured this window of time for us this fall to move in repentance so we can be reconciled with His favor over us again.
And once we are reconciled then to fuel a Revival that will bring in the lost for a great harvest of souls…and then restoration and the reformation of laws of our land!!
GOD has GREAT PLANS for US! All we have to do is repent in earnestness and obey! AMEN!!

God is empowering Christians to do the work of following Him and fulfilling His purpose for us.
They came to do His will. They came to follow His calling. We have the power to do what He asks.
We will not quit.

I was not able to make the trip to Washington DC for the events of this weekend, but did watch and worship along on Friday night and Saturday. I pray for the churches which are a part of Christ’s Church will hear the call of Chronicles 7:14 “… if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” God holds the Church responsible for the state of the nation, NOT those that don’t know Him. We are the ones to repent of the sins of the nations and pray that God would Awaken the people to His presence and His Holiness. We are to plant. God will water, cultivate and harvest.

I could not be there in person, but I watched the entire event live stream from CBN. I felt as if I were taking part from inside my home. It was a very special day and I felt the significance of the President announcing his third pick for the Supreme Court at the end of this event. To me it feels as if we have been on a ship, like the Titanic, headed for a disaster. Then, because we knew we needed to cry out to the Lord and repent of our sins while blowing the Shofar, He heard us, and like a Captain of the ship, He took hold of the wheel. I am believing that the ship is being turned around. We have put all our trust in Him by having this gathering and He will answer our prayers. Praise the Lord!

I was there! I honestly believe this was so much more than historic … I believe this was of eternal significance! I have hope for the church in America again. As we wept and repented and then shouted and praised and worshiped… I really believe Heaven heard!

BEAUTIFUL, JUST BEAUTIFUL

There are times in our lives that are so profound, so anointed, that they are imprinted upon our hearts, highlighted and remembered, I.e. the birth of a child, a wedding day. Whether planned or accidental, the synchronicities of God orchestrate His divine providence and we are enveloped in an experience that defines time henceforth. That pretty much sums up my day Saturday in Washington DC where prophetic history of global proportion was made. I was humbled to have been present.

To worship, repent and intercede with tens of thousands of like-minded believers is a joy to begin with but all the more so in a day when churches are being shutdown and people are masked and intimidated from speaking truth* for fear of lawless rule. Add to that speaker after speaker declaring scripture, decreeing justice, and prophesying revival and an outpouring of His Spirit and it truly was a magnificent day.

At some point, after becoming comfortable in the surroundings, my soul supersaturated, I engaged in a realm beyond as if transported to a heavenly courtroom. There, our collective voices cried out for the blood of Jesus to cleanse our land and purify our hearts, for mercy to triumph over judgment, for our nation to return to its foundational roots.

Mine was a carefree posture. My responsibilities for the day narrowed to simply seeking His face, I basked in the nine hours of intercession followed by worship and prophecy. This, this is my happy place. Across the street, at the steps of the Capitol my daughter marched with the Franklin Graham Crusade and 1,999 fellow students from Liberty College. I told her, should she fail her academic courses, her participation in the March was the passing grade of a Gen Z Christian. I could not be prouder.

Only in the eternal future, sitting around the campfires of heaven will we understand all that was accomplished through this global day of repentance and intercession. There is no doubt in my mind that our prayers, from around the world, ascended to the courts of God, that strongholds, powers and principalities were apprehended and edicts released, setting time in motion. It was as if heaven itself had been waiting for our cries. Turnaround has begun.

The battle is not over, in fact end times’ fires of the last days may have been stoked to hotter flames. So we prepare, we brace ourselves, standing firmly on His Word, we set our eyes on the hope set before us. We refuse to stand down, but instead we bend our knees to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and proclaim “He is the Way, the Truth and the Life there is no other.”

May God bless all who made this triumphant day possible.

Susan, that was so perfectly and beautifully put… I never thought to write so explicitly and expressively but I would say I felt the exact same way as you! It’s almost hard to get back to normal life… And I also am so desirous for pastors to watch this whole day and see what took place and sense the anointing! Praying for the church!

Thank you Jean – and I hope we never return to normal life. What an absolute honor to be present at such an eternally historic assembly. I don’t know about you but I had no choice but to attend, and I am so glad I did. This morning’s COVID test, sharing a room with 2 (previous) strangers, and 12 hours of travel to get there was a small price to pay.

I shared video clips (from the lawn looking to the stage) with friends; what is now posted on YouTube does not capture the anointed presence, how could it?
