In the last presidential term, there was a great deal of debate over whether Christians could support former President Donald Trump, a twice-divorced former playboy billionaire with a penchant for rude remarks. With the help of evangelical bulwark Mike Pence and a litany of pro-faith policies, however, American Christians largely rallied for Trump, giving him a second chance and trusting his sincerity.
Now, the president in office is facing a similar quandary, but the members of his own religious group, the Catholic Church, are not as supportive.

Reports indicate the Catholic Church is considering refusing communion to Biden and other pro-choice politicians.
One group, the Catholic League, laid out 32 offenses committed by president Biden in a report.
Here are a few:
- January 20, 2021 – Biden signed an executive order affirming that “children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports,” affirming his campaign promise to allow minors to use facilities and participate in high school sports opposite their biological sex. While campaigning, in response to a question from a parent of a transgender child, Biden said that there would be “zero discrimination” when it came to minors seeking to change their gender.
- January 20, 2021 – Biden issued an executive order requiring all federal agencies to implement the ruling in the Supreme Court decision Bostock v. Clayton County, which treats sexual orientation and gender identity as protected classes. This is a grave injustice that erases the differences and complementary relationship between man and woman.
- January 22, 2021 – Biden issued a statement on the 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade describing the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision as a “foundational precedent” to which all judicial nominees should commit. Biden called for Roe’s codification.
- January 28, 2021 – Biden issued the “Memorandum on Protecting Women’s Health at Home and Abroad.” This memorandum revokes the Mexico City Policy, which is a U.S. government policy that requires foreign non-governmental organizations to certify that they will not “perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning.”
- January 28, 2021 –Biden ordered that the necessary steps be taken to resume funding to the United Nations Population Fund, which promotes family planning through the abortion.
- May 28, 2021 – Biden released his budget proposal for FY2022, and it allocates money for abortions since it has no Hyde Amendment language. This is the first budget proposal since 1993 that does not include conscience protections to ensure federal funds are not used for abortions.
While most Christians reading this article would agree with these charges, we are in the ministry of intercession, so we must be careful to pray the will of God and bless, not curse.
In fact, the president’s own Catholic background may be a key prayer battleground for the next few years of his administration. Those seeds of faith planted in his heart over the years provide fertile ground for the Holy Spirit to speak to the current president in a way only God can.
I am not Catholic, but some of our readers certainly are, and I hope for the sake of our country we can rally together in prayer regardless of theological differences. Due to the state of our nation, we no longer have the luxury of turning our energy against one another.
Prayer Strategy
An interesting verse in the book of Proverbs should be in the mind of every serious intercessor:
“The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.” -Proverbs 21:1
We see here that God can turn the hearts of kings, or presidents, at his will.
What if the intercessors of America prayed not just for Biden’s policies, but for Biden’s heart to be turned to truth, justice and the ways of God?
I am very aware of the Biblical warnings to not judge another man’s servant. I will make no judgment call on whether or not Biden is saved. That is between him and God. However, I do believe that the intercessors of America can call on God to reignite the years of teaching Biden has sat under, the Christian influences around him his entire life, the moments when reading his Bible that God connected with him.
We can pray that God water those seeds in his heart and that they rapidly grow.
I am concerned that the Christians in this country care more about Biden’s executive orders than the state of his soul.
Once we pray for Biden’s heart, we will have more spiritual authority to pray for the work of his hands, namely his policies as president.
If the intercessory community gets breakthrough in praying for the president’s heart, we may just see the kingdom policy breakthrough we have been praying for as well.
With this in mind, let us pray:
- Lord, we pray for President Biden’s health, happiness, family, and his heart, that he would be warmed toward you and that the seeds you have planted in him over the years through his Catholic experience would blossom.
- Father, we pray that your Holy Spirit would convict Biden of the teachings in your Word that he has heard throughout his life, that he would be convicted to align his policies with your ways, not the false wisdom of men.
- Father, we pray that you would touch the heart of our president to be favorable toward your people, that we may live in peace free from persecution.

I have wondered why the Catholic Church has NOT taken this step and refused communion to Pres. Biden, Pelosi and the other politicians who claim to be a catholics “in good standing” yet have legalized murder of the unborn as well as the other Godless things they have authorized. They are not in a state of grace according to the Catholic Church’s own precepts therefore should not be receiving communion. These are public figures need to be held accountable for their actions and bear the consequences. That’s a whole lot of the problem..no accoutability…no consequences..for their actions. If the Catholic Church would step forward and hold them accoutable perhaps that would wake these politicians up. Yes, we should pray for their salvation but also we have prayed that God do whatever it takes to stop abortion and maybe this move by the Catholic Church is one of the ways He will use to stop it.
I agree 100% with the comment below. Of course we pray for a person’s salvation, but is it right to continue to let a known murdered out of jail each time he goes in? Is this justice ? Is this pleasing to God? There are zero consequences today for wrong behavior. If we have this mindset , is this in line with God’s ? Even God chastises those he loves. How much more would it be very RIGHT to put a person behind bars for murder, so they could not go out and continue to kill people!
The bible also talks about God ‘giving ppl” over ” to their wickedness , and searing their consciences. There is a point when the Holy spirit has been rejected completely, so many times , over and over, even God says “I’ve had enough”
Romans 1: 24 ..’wherefore GOD ALSO GAVE THEM UP to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts ….” …28 “…and even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, GOD GAVE THEM OVER TO A REPROBATE MIND …..” What do we do with these verses. God is all merciful , but HE is also all holy and righteous. I see ZERO repentance in these vile evil leaders and there needs to be consequences for their evil. Proverbs 6: 16 outlines the 7 things God hates. This man and his deep state cronies personify all of these 7. Esp verse 17 ….and hands that shed innocent blood. Biden , pelosi , shumer , the clintons, the obamas ….ALL GUILTY ! I pray like david did,,Destroy the plots , plans and evil schemes of the enemy. If they refuse to repent, God’s ways of dealing with them will come to pass, and that’s how i pray.
Our Lord Jesus says very bluntly and clearly in Matthew 7:17-20, “Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So by their fruits you will know them.” Now, Mr. Biden is the bearer of the most rotten and pernicious fruit, so that I as a faithful Catholic to our Lord in his most holy Eucharist must repudiate all of Mr. Biden’s malignant, misguided and faithless decisions that oppose Christ’s will for his people, the ten commandments and the acceptance of natural law principles as expatiated upon so cojently by Saint Thomas Aquinas. Yes, there is a twofold prayer to make on Mr. Biden’s behalf; first, that his very soul is mired in mortal sin as he sentences unborn children to death and foists sodomy, i.e., LGBT rights upon our nation with the stroke of a pen and so he desperately needs the prayer to receive the immediate grace of expedient repentance; second, we need to be protected and insulated from his reckless and perverse actions that undermine the very essence of individual sanctity and the holiness of the family, God’s domestic church if you will. He needs the prayer of utmost restraint to reverse the harm that he is doing to himself, you and me and our country. The analagous reading to Mr. Biden’s actions is that of Revelation 2:18 – 29 regarding the woman Jezebel whose harlotry was wreaking terrible havoc upon the the church of Thyatira.
I pray daily that The Fear of the Lord fall on the occupants of the White House and all who work there, on the Congress, where I declare the ‘will of God’ is of great concern, the Senate, the Supreme Court and all the departments, the judiciary, the state houses etc.
Thank you for this insight. I understand what scripture says about praying for those in authority and Proverbs 21. I also discern and believe what is taking place in America today and how we arrived now. God loves all his creation and does not want any to perish. His Son Jesus was born that we all can be saved by Grace and repentance of our sins. His MERCY is everlasting and none deserve SALVATION except thru the blood of Jesus and repentance which is turning around giving our lives to him.I PRAISE THE LORD he did that for me. However, the LORD allowed this transition to take place due to the decades of corruptness and evil by our leaders we elected. THIS administration is fake and God is using this to expose the evil and corruptness. WE must fight in the spirit to take our country back and place the rightful man God has chosen PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP back into office. IS 43 talks about restoring Israel,but he will restore America. I trust the LORD and he will make a way and his timing is perfect. May he have mercy on those that have given in to the enemies plans.
Dear Lord, I pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict Joe Biden’s heart and help him to turn to You for wisdom and guidance. I pray also that h would align his policies with Your ways and not the false and fallible ways of men. In Jesus holy and precious name I pray, amen!
Heavenly Father, almighty, righteous, merciful God, I ask for forgiveness for myself, and our nation for our sins are many. I pray for our “president”Biden and his family for an awakening to their need of a Savior in Christ Jesus. I pray this for Kamala Harris and her family, and all of the person controlling Joe Biden. I pray that Joe Biden will seek forgiveness of his sins against you, humanity, and your people Israel. Father God, I pray that President Trump will seek your will and ask for wisdom in all humility and if it be your will that you return him to the Presidency in your perfect timing. In light of all that is transpiring not only in the Executive Branch but the Legislative Branch as well, I needed to see the words in James 1: 2-4 today. I stand, convicted by my own weakness. Thank you, Casey Harper. I will pray for the soul of our President because, in spite of the fact that his actions disgust me, because it is right and just to do so. Prayer for our leaders is ordained by God, thankfully, liking them is not.
I know that heartfelt prayer builds up and may, with the prayers of others, bear good fruit. Lord, let your divine light shine on President Biden, may it illuminate his soul so that He may see and do your will, in Jesus name, and may it do the same in me, amen.
I am acutely aware that the Word says to pray for those in authority (government), but it also QUESTIONS, in Psalm 94:20, whether a corrupt throne can be allied with him (GOD) – “a throne that brings on misery by it’s decrees”. Joe Biden remains unrepentant, I have neither seen nor heard ANYTHING that leads me to believe that he even sees himself as a “sinner”, much less sorry for his sins.
I remember following my pastor’s cue and I prayed for Bill Clinton, FOR YEARS. I finally stopped because it seemed more like spitting in the wind than prayer. Instead of feeling like I was praying God’s will and God’s Word, it felt slimy, like I needed to take a shower.
I’m sure that in his 78 years, A LOT of attempts have been made to turn Biden around, seeds have been planted. I just think that maybe he has burned any seedling that bravely popped up right to the ground, and then salted the earth to make sure it was dead.
God ALWAYS gives people choices. I chose to pray for restoration of justice, the binding of the demonic powers controlling our government, and the loosing of angel battalions to beat down, beat back, and utterly scatter that demonic horde. Maybe without his demons covering him, Joe will see the light. I would rejoice if he did, and not just for my country, but for him as well. But it ultimately is HIS choice. I can’t make him chose life, you can’t make him chose life, and God will not force him to chose life.
We should pray for the souls, not just the policies, of all members of all three branches of government. I like to pray for “everyone who gets a government paycheck,” because that includes very influential and powerful people who are not elected. As wicked as they may be, we still need to be concerned about where they will spend eternity.
Dear Jesus, I pray you help Biden to see the error of his way and his need of a savior. Then cause him turn to you. I pray that he would then call upon you and experience your salvation through Jesus Christ,.
This article is water to my soul! It gave me such confirmation and hope. Our nation is shaking for Kingdom purposes. Although I am very disturbed about many matters, the real issue is the Gospel. May Father continue to do what it takes to unite His Bride and bring an abundant harvest from the fields of government, entertainment, education, religion, and hidden places of darkness that He will pierce with the light of His Presence. He loves our leaders and has allowed them to be in their respective positions for this very season. He wants us to pray for them more than we criticize them. Irrespective of my strong opinions on some policies, my response needs to be expressed in prayer…and I must steward my own attitude and heart in the process!
Many times I wonder about the mercies of Our God, but one only has to read in 2Kings 21 about the life of King Manasseh and realize that knowone is beyond the reach of God. He sacrifices his own son in the fire and did many other horrible things, yet when the Babylonians took him prisoner, put a hook in his nose and bound him with shackles in his distress cried out to the LORD and He answered his prayer, {1 Chronicles 33}. God’s mercy is beyond our understanding, but I trust it. Yes, as followers of Christ we must prayer for our President’s heart that he will turn, repent and be forgiven. May the God of all forgiveness give us hearts to follow His ways.
Only God can change Biden’s heart, we know that. However, God gives us the free will to accept Him or not. He gives us free will to turn to him, in repentance, or not. I pray that Biden WILL turn to the Lord. At some point though, people can be given over to a depraved mind or their hearts can become hardened to God’s truth. I have watched Biden, over many years, and I can tell you, as bad as I thought Biden was before, he is worse now than ever! Something became “different” in Biden when Obama took him as Vice President.
Having said that, we know God is in control! Nothing is impossible with God, nothing!! What the enemy means for evil, God can turn for good. Jesus is the only hope, and I pray that Joe Biden will be convicted, by the Holy Spirit, to turn to Almighty God in repentance.
A side note:
Has anyone noticed that Biden has not nominated an ambassador to Israel, after 6 months? Have you noticed the difference with which this administration treats Israel and Iran? Remember, Almighty God says , about Israel, “I will bless those that bless you, I will curse those that curse you.” America will be the recipient of blessing or cursing from God according to what this “leader” does or does not do!!

I personally believe that false president Biden is beyond redemption.
Between his pedophilia and his dementia, as well as the long list of offenses & sins against God and man, I think he is beyond the point of no return, and I pity his soul. I have sensed great pain in President Biden from losing family members. He may have anger towards God which so many people have who have been hurt or deeply disappointed. Father, you know all that is in President Biden and what he most needs to understand and realize in order to turn to you. I have at times prayed that the heavy burden of the presidency would cause him to cry out for your help and that the lure of being the most powerful man in the world would become a disappointment to him. We have repeatedly prayed for Joe and all leaders. However, Joe l’s heart does not seem to be repentant but just as years gone by, deceitful. So I pray that if he won’t repent, he will be rooted out along with his entire admin and any of those that seek wickedness and destruction of this nation! We should know the season we are in! We should not be blind to what we are walking in. This is spiritual warfare for sure. We are loosing a country because the choices of this man and his administration. He stood by and watched Gods beloved nation, Israel be bombarded with rockets. He undid compacts the last admin put in place to keep peace in that nation. Like stopping the money going to terrorists orgs and Iran! God said He would bless those that bless Israel and curse those that curse Israel! Wake up! I pray Gods will over this nation! Biden has mocked God and slapped him in the face by pushing identity politics and abortion and more! I refuse to be a complacent servant! We have the authority to speak up and storm the heavens for this nation! This nation was paid for with blood and it is because of Gods grace that we have freedom! Wake up! Stand in the gap! Stop sitting on your hands and waiting! God is waiting on us! He will judge us first!
I would add another prayer to be spoken over Joe Biden.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10). Where there is no fear, awe or reverence, where there is no knowledge of the high thoughts and workings of the Holy One, there is no wisdom. So I pray that Joe Biden will know the fear of the Lord, and that he will fall to his knees and repent, and that after receiving forgiveness, he will ask the Holy One for His Wisdom and for knowledge concerning His Ways, so that he might from henceforth govern wisely, according to the teachings of God.

Thank you for sharing this study! Another verse that I found after I posted my comment was Job 28:28.
“And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom;
and to depart from evil is understanding.” (KJV)
Other versions translate “depart from evil” as shun evil, forsake evil, turn from evil, and turn away from evil. Very to the point, I think.
Perhaps we all need to meditate on this! I feel that before Covid and the events of the past year, the church had largely forgotten (abandoned?) the fear of the Lord.

Imagine someone you love telling you “Why do you still hold on to your integrity? Curse God, and die.” Job replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.” I believe Job’s integrity was the FEAR OF THE LORD.
As to the shaking we are in the middle of, I believe it has been for the church and those outside as well. How encouraging is that!!!I Although I am one who has prayed for this shaking, I am astounded at the intensity but hope that in this nation and all the nations of the world, we are all being led to Him and away from evil. BTW, I am a word person and have countless “searches” saved…His Word is so good and so are you to respond as you did.
As much as I am moved by this article and have prayed along with the prayer points and I believe God’s heart is to see all come to repentance , I’m having a difficult time praying for Biden as my president. He is not our legitimate president, this is a stolen seat. Yes, God allowed this to be, so I will pray for him as “those in authority” and I believe, as I know many who are reading this article believe that our words have power. I’m not gonna speak the presidency over this administration, it is not his rightful seat. But I do pray that the Lord will work in his heart and will water the seeds that have been planted into his life and that he may know and come to realization that Jesus Christ is king of kings, Lord over all and has paid the price for his sin and I pray for his heart to seek repentance and turn.Thank you Casey for leading us to pray God’s heart.

We pray for the removal of the veil of deception over their hearts, release them from ALL satanic strongholds, and mercifully grant them revelation, repentance, renewal and restoration of their souls. We pray for the reversal of these and ALL evil policies and for righteous leadership to rise. Father raise up godly leaders who are fully surrendered to do Your will and remove all evil leaders. Expose all corruption at the highest and deepest levels of public, private, and religious leadership; leave no stone unturned. Empower the Church, the Ekklesia to hold all leadership accountable to Your Holy Word in promoting life, liberty, and justice for all. We decree righteousness in our nation through a great outpouring of Your Holy Spirit through revival in name of Jesus Who holds ALL power and authority in Heaven and on earth, we therefore bind ALL evil entities, release God’s Holy Army and decree that God’s will for America be done, as a friend of Israel and as Beacon of Light to all nations according to our foundational covenant. We stand together today in unity and faith, and appeal to Your mercy to fulfill our national destiny for Your glory.

This is a lovely idea, to pray for his soul, and I intend to pray in this manner. Yes, the seeds of faith and knowledge of Scripture were planted, assuming that Biden and his family attended church. If God is to turn Biden’s heart, he must first heal his mind. Not only does he display deep signs of Alzheimer’s, I fear, due to the truth about his family and how they were raised, a reprobate mind. Knowing what we know about Hunter and Ashley, and their excessive addictions, we have to understand the root cause, the Strong Man, impacting this family tree. Pray against the Strong Man of Addictions & Sexual deviancy. And, if we do that, and if they are healed, will they proceed to fill up on Scripture to prevent 7 more from returning? This is truly a challenge and a conundrum. I have to pray in general for Biden, which I do daily, and let God sort it out.

We know you love President Biden, not his actions. Only You can change his mind. You have consistently changed the minds of kings! This is not too hard for You. Just as You caused the donkey to talk when Balaam refused to, You can open the heart and mind of President Biden. We know You never force Your way in, but we also know Your will is none should perish, but all come to everlasting life. Jesus, cause President Biden to awaken to his many sins against our country and humanity. Help him to be sick of corruption. I ask you would send an angel to visit him and speak truth, that he would recognize it and repent. I pray for another great awakening to wash over our country. I do not understand much, but I do know we win in the end. Help us believers to not try to do Your job, by judging others, but to love others, lift them to You and to stand up to their actions. Father, you have never given up on me even at my darkest behavior. I am sorry I have given up on our political leaders in my heart; please forgive me. Thank you for this article. I have been praying for President Biden to be blessed with the mercy of conviction of sin. That he would get right with the Lord before it is too late. Being the most powerful man in the world, and being wealthy won’t matter at all when he stands before God. What does it profit him if he loses his soul? Oh Lord, have mercy on his soul! I agree it is so hard to pray for him. But the Lord has forgiven us as well. I love this young man Casey, I love to to see and hear him on prayer days that I watch on youtube.(Sometimes I watch it over again later and pray again) I love Casey’s Saturday writings. I just love Casey. This article I was very happy to see. In the Bible there are many stories of people that changed. As a Christian I believe in a prayer answering God and that a man can change. I believe a man can change and I have seen it happen. About a mouth ago I got up in the night left the room I share with my husband and went into the spare bedroom. President Biden was on my mind and I keep praying. I had a vision of a picture of President Bidon’s head the picture was 4 feet by 6 feet as if it were on a billboard. I just kept praying. I moved into the living room the vision moved with me and got bigger it must have been 8 feet by 10 feet. I prayed until daylight. I came away from that feeling compassion for President Bidon. Since then my prayer has been that President Bidon would have a heart change, experience Jesus, and have an encounter with the Holy Spirit.
My mother was very Polish Catholic. When I was 37 I had some heath problems and my mother thought I was pregnant. She sat across from me in my living room and said if your pregnant I will give you money for an abortion. I said Mom I am not pregnant but if I was I would have the baby. She was in her seventies at the time. One of my best friends was a Catholic nun I say was because she died last May. She entered the convent when she was 15 years old. She was my teacher when I was 11 years old and I stayed close to her until I was 65. She lived out of state and I would try to visit her at the Mother House once a year. On my last visit I was talking about how much I hate abortion. She said but people that hate abortion need to help the mother’s with those babies once they have them. I was glad I could say back to her well Sister I do. There are no abortion clinics in my county. We have a Christian pregnancy center and money goes right out of my bank account each month to help them provide for babies. She did not vote for Trump. Those two women were two Catholics I really loved, but never understood how they thought. I am glad they were never in power.

Thank you for pointing out the importance of praying that Biden and his cohorts repent from operating in a reprobate spirit that influences their mind, body, soul and sprit. Similar to Saul in the OT who continuously had a harden heart, God allowed satan to operate through him. This heartened heart will be used by the enemy to accelerate the agenda of the antichrist. May Mr. Biden and his family accept Jesus as their true Savior, Lord, and Master, repent like we all had to do and continue to do from our wicked ways, and serve God instead of satan. May his testimony be used as a light to the world where he is a NT Saul turned Paul and Mr. serve God in the capacity where God places him and not where he placed himself.
Father I thank you that Joe Biden knows who you are. Please draw him to yourself that he might not just know about you but that he will give his heart to you. I pray Holy Spirit your conviction will turn him from evil, from all sin. Forgive him for his blasphemy, his stand on abortion, transgender, turning his back on Israel and your chosen people. I pray the Catholic Church will do that which is right in your sight, whatever it takes to transform him. Lord only you know his heart and only you can change him. Come Holy Spirit, fall upon him with power, speak to him in dreams and visions and just as you spoke to Paul he too will bow before you.

Lord I know Your word concerning those in authority but am having a really, really hard time with Joe Biden and the things he is doing to this land, the people in it and his character. The only thing I can truly pray (and this because of your article) is: Lord open the eyes of his heart that he may see You and the truth of Your word and ways. This is absolute truth. I think of Nebuchadnezzar who was evil beyond belief. God called him, “My servant.” Of Cyrus the Lord said, “he is my shepherd.” Casey has given us a good reminder of our responsibility as Christians and intercessors. “There is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.”
Father, I pray just as You have done since the beginning of time and with countless individuals, You would turn President Biden’s heart and mind to seek You alone. I pray for President Biden and claim Acts 26:18 for him,

I pray that while President Biden is on foreign soil that he would have a Damascus Road experience with our Lord just as Saul (Paul) experienced in Acts 26. I pray that he will return to America with a different agenda that will be God’s will. I pray for protection for him and his family.
