There is a transformation taking place around the world. A new awareness and revelation is being revealed in this hour. However, I believe the mandate of masks wearing speaks prophetically of the call to silence what needs to be spoken in this hour.
The question we all need to be asking is “What is our role as people of God (the Church) in society today?” This is VITAL.
For years we have been told that the Church isn’t to be involved in politics citing “separation of church and state.” However, the term separation of church and state is nowhere in our Constitution. That term and false argument is a tool cultivated by the Left to silence the Church from involvement in governmental affairs.
Over the years, that same false narrative was used to silence us from speaking up in schools through prayer or to allow godly teachers to impart biblical wisdom to our children. The Ten Commandments were removed from both schoolhouses and many government buildings. It was declared inappropriate as the ACLU attacked our freedom of speech and religion with their unconstitutional arguments.
And we complied.
Over time, the Church (the people) were relegated to sharing the Light to the church (building) and told to keep our beliefs to ourselves as it is a “private matter.”
The problem is the Bible says just the opposite. It never told us that our role is simply within the walls of the church building. In fact, just the opposite. We are told to “go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature” (Mk 16:15).
Fast forward to the shelter-at-home pandemic mandate where church gatherings were shut down. Even now some churches have been prohibited from reopening. So if the Church (the people) are relegated to the church building, and the church is shut down. Do you see the problem?
What about those who gave up on the church years ago and have already been “sheltering at home” separate from the church (building)?
As we reflect on all that has transpired in recent months, this gets back to an important question. What is our role in society?
It’s actually very simple. We are to go into every realm of society as the Church (the people) to bring transformation.
The Greek word used for “Church” in the book of Acts is “Ekklesia” which means “called out ones.” It is a governmental term that was first coined in Rome.
According to the Encyclopedia Britannica:
The term “ecclesia” was the name given to the governmental assembly of the city of Athens in which officers were granted political power and juridical functions.
So why was this same term used to refer to the “Church” in the New Testament? Because as the Ekklesia (the Church) we are called out as an assembly to affect change and to govern. We are to transform society, not let society transform and/or silence us. We are to go into every realm to bring His light and His life. However, the only way the Church transforms society is when we are in it fulfilling our call in the realm of our gift.
When we allow ourselves to be silenced, we have effectively removed God’s voice and influence in these realms of which we are called to walk and work.
So if you are a teacher, an engineer, a medical professional, a therapist, counselor, pastor, a student, a service worker or governmental worker… Whatever your daily job is at this moment, you are the Church (ekklesia) called out to walk into your office/realm/space each day to take His Light and Life and bring transformation.
As I look around at the masks worn during the pandemic, I believe they speak prophetically of the attempt to keep our mouths silenced. Note, I’m not attacking the use of masks for those who feel they need the protection it can offer. I’m saying only that they are visual evidence of an effort to silence dissenting voices—especially the Church.
It is vital that we recognize who we are and know that we were called “for such a time as this.” (Es 4:14).
We are not meant to remain silent at this time. People are seeking answers and those won’t come from the CDC, but from the Word of God which as believers we carry within us.
We are to be salt and the light. Salt that preserves and light that exposes and brings truth. We are the only “church” that some will ever encounter. They may never darken the door of a church building, but when WE as the Church (ekklesia) go to our office/classroom/store/arena each day we take the Church, God’s Light, to them.
THAT is our role in society. We are to go into EVERY realm. Media. Government. Education. Religion. Family. Economy. Arts.
And when we do that is when the Church fulfills her mandate to bring transformation. What is your role in society? To transform it with the Light within you.
Lord, we ask you to give us a renewed zeal for You and to understand our role in this hour. Help us to be bold and courageous and to speak up about You. May we bring transformation wherever we go. That when we walk into a room, YOU walk into the room. That we are Presence Carriers of the Holy Spirit. Help us to be aware of that wherever we go to be Light and bring your healing power into a world that is sick, fearful, and lost.

Wonderful article. I prayed this prayer and this gives me a sense of honor and importance. I feel a renewed sense of peace and power. We are to carry the Holy Spirit and Light of God with us no matter where we are and what we do for a living. We are representatives of God, even as we grocery shop or do daily tasks. Help us be bold. Amen.
I totally agree and have been thinking the same thing for some time.
Masks cannot hide who we are in Christ – forgiven, chosen, and saved. And we live in a fallen world. We should not only care about others’ physical health, but their spiritual health. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!
The wearing of a mask during the pandemic, in my understanding, is not at all about prevention of our words going out to others. Rather, they are for the purpose of keeping our germ droplets when we sneeze, cough, speak, pray aloud, or worship from infecting others, just as their masks protect us. Masks speak a powerful God message of caring for others, not just self. It is therefore a selfless act. I find myself in this time, as a Christian writer, of increased inspiration, which I’m able to share on FaceBook, e-mails, my church newsletter, my journal, and when I remove the mask to speak on the phone. I also speak through the mask when in a store. I don’t believe there is a Prophetic message from God Himself at this time, regarding masks. We must test the spirits, per The Word, and such warnings by the Holy Spirit, in us, are always confirmed by the Word.

We are, as Christians, to continue to be salt and light no matter where we are. No disrespect intended but I have a different perspective on this matter. I see our commission as one to go into all the world and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, baptizing those who believe our message in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them all that God has commanded us who are His called out ones. I do not see the church’s role as social justice warriors fighting for what we call our civil rights when those in authority impose restrictions upon our civil liberties. To my knowledge the church has not been prevented from proclaiming the Gospel, teaching the Word, or ministering to the needy. The Word of God is not gagged. I find I’m quite able to do all that God has called me to do wearing a mask when required to do so…without grumbling and complaining though I find them just as “uncomfortable” as anyone else; I do this for the Lord’s sake. In comparison to real suffering for the Gospel…wearing a mask seems a very petty complaint to me. Our brethren in many places in the world have experienced tryanny and they would marvel at people who’d complain about wearing a mask while preaching or listening to the Word of God. We’ll be judged for our deeds done in the body by the same standard as those saints who have known serious hardship for the sake of the Gospel. Just as medical professionals have long been able to communicate during medical procedures where infection was high risk…masks do not prevent communication. Speaking from personal experience, masks have not restricted me from teaching 2 Bible classes each week, attending prayer meetings, worship meetings, or seminary classes for my own pleasure throughout this crisis. Neither have I been prevented from delivering food–and flowers!–to elderly and unwell persons, purchasing food and other necessary items for my household, etc. My vacation was cancelled, yes. My “routine social activities”, such as lunching out with friends, have been put on hold. Yes, I miss the hugs. Has it been challenging yet necessary to be innovative in continuing in ministry and in ministry one to another–yes, of course it has. Wise as serpents, gentle as doves… comes to mind. I personally am nothing but grateful for the opportunities God has provided for His people in this age to edify one another and receive edification from one another even during a time such as this…even while being required to wear a mask. Do I think masks hinder the Gospel from going forth one bit–no, I do not. Do I think masks are necessary everywhere–no, I absolutely do not. But do I think they are a safeguard in high risk areas, especially among the high risk segment of our population–yes, I absolutely do. Would you want your surgeon and his team to perform a total knee replacement on YOU or someone you love without masks? Are their masks only for “show”? I think not. Perhaps we should just try being still and knowing that God is GOD…and we might find ourselves more able to be useful to God and to others than we realize…even if required to wear a mask until our locality is deemed safe.

I don’t think the article was referring to the literal meaning of silencing the church through the wearing of masks. I think the point of the article is to continue to be salt and light and to be aware and awake of what is going on. Although we are to do things without complaining and grumbling, I believe we also need to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. The church can transform a nation with the gospel, not through criticisms or pushing for our civil rights. I believe in civil rights but I also believe we need to be discerning when it comes to certain things the government mandates us to do. There are examples in the Bible in which certain people of God stood up for God’s standards and for their people like Daniel and Esther.

It amazes and saddens me how Christians in the west know how to talk and express spiritual things. But when it comes to actually dying to self, taking up the cross, obeying the hard teachings of Jesus like no divorce, love your enemies, dress modestly, purity of body soul and spirit, avoiding watching worldly entertainment, defiling movies, even so called Christian ones, submission to authority you will find yourself standing quite alone. Most will not stand with you but from listening to them talk you will be inspired and fooled into thinking these are spiritual giants. How sad? Most of us do not even pray 1 hour a day? Saints God has shown us so much. More that even the church in many countries do not know. It is time for us to arise and act. To whom much is given much is required. WE need to awake and obey ALL of Gods word sacrificially. Dying to self, flesh and sin. Only then can we be any match for satan and his minions. Unto the overcoming church God has given first dominion, we are called to be his arm on the earth. with which he can subdue many wickednesses and all false kings and kingdoms. Let us repent, return and rule in Jesus name and by his authority we shall win.

This is prophetically the year of the mouth for the Body of Christ to speak out boldly. Interesting that all are being asked to cover our mouth….we may wear the mask to protect those at risk, but we must never be silenced in speaking the truth against the darkness!
Wearing a mask for me is a sign of respect, not wanting to unknowingly spread this desires. Depending on how good the mask is it may actually protect myself and others. If I’m out in the fresh air I do not wear one. I’m not afraid of dying and do not wear the mask because the government is telling me to. I have become more bold at my work place since this virus became a pandemic, knowing that God is Sovereign and life is fragile. I have thought about embroidering a cross or a bible verse on my masks. I am angry about the hypocrisy and hatred of those who have worked hard to shut down Christians….but I also remember how they hated Jesus and know they will hate those who love and trust him. Prayer is the answer. This is war and we know who has the victory. So as I struggle with my anger and their hypocrisy I am reminded that they are blind and slaves to Satan. We need to pray, pray and pray some more…and watch our God glorify himself in his people.
Anna I believe our safety and protection against this virus is Psalms 91. I feel like America has transformed to alien looking people everywhere, no personal human interaction like a smile, or good morning, it is to silence us is my opinion. Humans need other human interaction, that is the way God created us. you cannot talk and smile with a mask on, it is totally anti social, cannot share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
A mask has not stopped me interacting with people. I wear a mask all day long at work taking care of cancer patients. A mask cannot hide my love, silence my voice or hide my tears. It is hot and uncomfortable but has not changed who I am or stooped God from using me.
I agree with you, Anna. The virus started off as rapidly in South Korea; however, it was arrested more quickly and, as a result, Korea has only experienced a few hundred deaths. The keys to South Korea’s success was “test, trace and isolate.” They produced tests faster and made them more widely available. The trace connections infected people have made, to identify others who were exposed to the contagion. Then, they vehemently isolate those who are infected; and, they separate those who are mildly sick, from those who are extremely ill. Virtually everyone wears a mask when in public; and, you are looked at poorly, for not wearing a mask. The public and the government trusted one another, because both were truthful and cared about controlling the virus. They learned hard lessons from not taking past outbreaks of other contagions seriously. Incidentally, South Korea never went on lock down, because the people acted in conjunction with their government, to fight the spread of the virus. See the article:

Anna, you are correct. South Korea (KOR) was tracking with the U.S., in terms of the number of COVID cases, in the early stages of the spread of the virus, in both countries. However, KOR stopped the spread of the contagion, through a three-pronged approach, one that entails “testing, tracing and isolating.” First, KOR provided and promoted testing across their country, making sure a significant number of KOR citizens were tested ASAP. Secondly, KOR traced the people with whom an infected person had contact that may have spread the disease. The government required the persons exposed to the virus to follow strict rules for their third leg, “isolation.” KOR placed infected persons in various tranches, with the sickest people isolated separately from those who were mildly sick. However, all infected persons were strictly isolated. South Korean citizens trusted and worked in concert with their government, to jointly prevent the spread of the contagion. They learned a hard lesson from past experiences, when they did not take things as seriously, and as a result, contagions spread, unnecessarily. The ironic thing is that KOR was never in lock down during the COVID crisis. However, when in public, virtually everyone wears a mask, and those not wearing a mask are not respected. I am an evangelist and spread the gospel everywhere I travel. I am hated by many, I am sure. We will be hated for associating with Jesus. However, I refuse to be hated for deliberately putting others at risk, when all I must do is cover my face. I agree that it’s awkward and best to see people’s facial expressions. But, a smile is not worth the risk of placing someone on life support because I make them sick and they have a comorbidity, such as diabetes. I am in full agreement and say Amen! For too many years we as Christians have been giving up territory until today the church finds ourselves sheltering in place and isolated. I watched two powerful sermons by a Pastor who is finally sounding the alarm! He is warning us about the church waking up and reclaiming our territory. The mask is only symbolic of what’s happening. Romans 13:11 “Understanding these urgent times. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber….So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” And 1 Peter 5:8 “Be self controlled and alert for your enemy prowls around like a lion seeking whom he can devour” and Rev 3:2 “Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die” Ive allowed myself to get discouraged and my prayer burden was growing dim, when out of the blue I had the impression I was not supposed to run but to go into the battle and to stand firm. Then Sunday for the second sermon the subject was “This Day We Fight” Not in a physical way but a spiritual fight. He gave the example of David facing Goliath, little David with Goliath mocking and cursing him. David took up his staff and pouch and five rocks and then RAN down to the battle line. Once again agree that the mask is symbolic of what the enemy is trying to do by attacking our weakness and silencing the Church. John 4:4 says “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. “ We are Gods hands and feet and if not US taking a stand…then who???
PRAY and ask God . I did not take this article to be for or against wearing a mask. I see many points that I agree with, and ,honestly, don’t believe a mask protects the person wearing it, or others. Dr. Stuck first said they didn’t, then said they did. Time and time again, their stories change. Ask God and trust lHim!

Father in Heaven, I know that you know everything that is going on right now. Help us as the church not to participate in the games and chaos of the world. You are unchanging, much to many peoples dismay. They would like for you to change to help them in your agenda. Jesus said follow me. not anyone else, him. Over the last couple of weeks I have seen many of the Bible stories played out in my head with Jesus wearing a mask, not so much effective, Jesus spit in peoples faces, made mud from spit, touched them and healed them. Father help your body, the church, to stand to its feet. Your body. Those called by your name, when we have done all that we can do to stand, stand therefore. stop us from participating in any scheme of the enemy and thinking that it will be okay with you. Where two or more gather in His name there is church. The church is within each of us. Preach the good news & use common sense.

We are to go to all people for sure as clearly defined in the Great Commission, but I see no mandate to get involved in government, etc. Jesus did not. Paul did not. Moses did not. I think we can certainly function better as disciples of Messiah and bring light to all we interact with when we are involved in all aspects of community and life around us, but to invade every realm to ‘Christianize’ it is not the Great Commission.
Believers have long struggled with the right level of civil involvement and civil disoberdiance. I think we need to focus on how to “Rescue the Perishing”. Recent history shows too much focus on politics, sports, entertainment, economy, etc. and not enough on the Gospel.
I have several thoughts on this subject. I keep asking myself what would Jesus do if He were here physically? I don’t think He would be sheltering at home, social distancing, or wearing a mask. When Jesus left to return to His Father in heaven he gave us a mandate in Mark 16;17-1. Another verse that haunts me is John 14:12.”Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do, and greater works than these will he do because I am going to the Father”.
Is God all-powerful or not? Is the coronavirus bigger than God? Has He given us all power over the enemy? I am struggling with these questions. Either God is who He says He is, and I am who He says I am and can do what he says I can do or why am I serving Him? I am not pointing the finger at anyone but myself. These are legitimate questions to ask ourselves and the Lord, or we are just a memeber of a relious club. I don’t want any part of “having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof”.
I don’t think this article was about the wearing or not wearing a mask…when we, ourselves, decide to make it about what we, ourselves think about Christ’s love being displayed on wearing or not wearing a mask presents such a distraction away from what everyone in the world REALLY needs…the cross of Christ and the gospel message…it can just as easily be shared with others, in love with or without the face-covering…right? Let’s not get distracted by the enemy away from the Truth
Regarding wearing a facemark only: I Cor. 8: 7-13 talks about the eating of meat sacrificed to idols but the larger point is that while we might understand something to be harmless to our faith and our salvation, to others it might be a “Stumbling block” or an offense. Wearing a mask in public certainly causes no harm to anyone. It might be uncomfortable but that’s about it. So why not wear one if for no other reason than to calm the fear others might experience when they encounter you without a mask? God warns us that we can actually destroy the faith of new or weak believers by doing or saying something that to them is scandalous. In doing so, we sin against Christ! If our self-righteousness can do that with respect to new Christians, just think what it can do to those who are not believers. Our simple acts of divisiveness could turn away a seeker who would see us and say, “If that is what being a Christian looks like, I don’t want to be one.” To wear or not to wear a facemask, “fake news”, conservative v. liberal politics, politicizing everything – all these things and more are symptoms of a greater problem, exacerbated by Enemy who seeks to destroy us all.
Satan’s transgression Was that he wanted to ascend to the throne of God and be God. One of the qualities of God is that he can hear everything we say understand everything we think and find us no matter where we go. He can track us to the very depths of our souls. Satan is trying to accomplish the same thing with ID and tracking.

Thank you for putting into words my sense of frustration with wearing masks.
I like to write, but was not able to get beyond my burden of the mask wearing, other than knowing that it was a “symbol” of a much larger, more hideous problem.
My disdain with wearing one, which I had to in order to shop, was even considered a form of rebellion by some. Thanks again for eloquently writing what I failed to be able to verbalize, and I’m so glad that someone else (I’m sure alot of people) feels the same way!

Not disagreeing with many points in this article at all. What disturbs me is that people are refusing to wear masks for now. Are we not to do unto others as we would have done unto us? Are we not to care for and prefer our brethren above ourselves? Wearing a mask does not make me be quiet. I still speak and am a strong believer as is my family. A mask says I care and am willing to put up with this because I love. Social distancing says the same thing. This is temporary and fellow believers, we need to love one another and take care of others as well as say when we disagree with any decisions that are being made. Lay down your lives for your friends. God bless!
I have a Christian friend who picks up dead bodies for a living. He says if we saw what he sees everyday, we would be glad to wear a mask.
Choosing not to wear a mask-does that mean we don’t love God and others? or are you saying we are “less than” because we don’t do what you think we should in order to display love? I am not being critical either, but the church has to be careful about how we judge and how we decide right from wrong. I wouldn’t be disturbed about this as long as you are doing what you believe is right, trust God with the rest. Christlike love is the standard! That can many times tend to look different for all of us, mask or no mask that standard of loving God and loving others biblically and well can still be maintained-“Matt. 28-19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” This can still be accomplished with zeal-mask or no mask-to His praise and glory! Amen.
As a Christian people watch you, your children, your neighbors, co-workers, people in the grocery store. Watch. What do they see? I think more of us need to have an Esther spirit, and if we perish we perish. Imagine for a second that Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did bow, but took a knee would they have even made the book. Daniel if he took a big stick into the lion’s den? Jesus if he would have washed his hands for 20 seconds with (uh oh) no running water before he touched the leper and made him whole? what if he said to the blind man, stop 6 feet out? the woman with the issue of blood? I think the spiritual meaning of what we do is way more important than just the physical act. Sometime you have to love the people enough to stand up to the bully that is destroying our world. I wear a mask to protect me from others and others from me. I also wear a helmet when I ride by bike and a seat belt in my car. I go on green lights and stop at red.
My church is not the building; it is a community of faith. We worship, have meetings, and have Bible classes on line. We send cards, take each other food, drive each other to the doctor, phone each other,make 100s of face masks, and support numerous missions.
We love each too much to risk precious lives. We are motivated by Christ’s love.
Thank you for this article. You are right about the silencing, so I made masks for my friends and myself from a fabric with quotations from the Bible imprinted on it. Many have commented on mine. My standard comment to strangers now is, “I’m a Christian so I advertise!”

Very good! Being involved in government on every level is the Calling of God’s people. We make a difference when involved. Yes. I have had these same thoughts. I just went to the store, maskless. I prayed when I walked in for protection……..felt perfectly safe. I did notice that about half of the folks were wearing masks. This will go away but of course……..if you want to wear a mask, please help yourself. No one is condemning you here.

The last 20 years I have been busy working the works of God where He called me. Pastoring, sports coach, police chaplain, City Council, Mayor and new nonprofit. There is no separation between Church and State, except where people put it. This mask is indeed another way to stop us from speaking the truth in love. Don’t muzzle the ox!

Exactly. First time we were told to wear them, I thought of the Muslim society and what was to come here. Silence. When you speak behind a mask, your voice is muffled. You cannot even smile at anyone. Just exist and do your chores and go home. People say it is about saving lives, but as we have seen abortion clinics stay open and most likely not just for a mom at risk. So it is not about saving lives. First Dr. Fauci said no mask, then only the N95 works, now any mask works, then wear one to protect others from you as you might not know you are sick…. Endless. Either they have no idea or they are not telling us the truth. Very disappointing.
Solid randomized trials show use of masks in the community is not helpful. CDC recognizes this, in spite of the late mask guidelines. Only those with coughing, sneezing should wear them. What’s so tragic is the judgement. I’ve heard it said too often that people who don’t wear a mask don’t care about others. Please fellow followers of Christ, wear a mask if you wish, but refrain from judging those who don’t.

My concern through all of this separation is that fear overtakes too many, that we won’t be able to speak the truth of who Jesus is to people, won’t be able to lay hands on anyone to pray healing for them. People will fear the touch of another human being not in their family. We are being told that we are all the enemy. Masks can symbolize the retraining of speech. These are trying times. But we pray that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way.

This is interesting to me because a week ago I felt compelled to share my testimony on FB as it applies to the coming (sometime in the future) of the Rapture and subsequent Tribulation period. I emphasize, we do NOT know the day nor the hour, but we are not supposed to be surprised. If it’s not too long for this posting, I will post it here now.
I’ve been doing some thinking with all my “spare” time. These are interesting times, for sure. People have been going back and forth with “how could this happen?”, “why did this happen?”, “whose fault is it?”, “is it just a fluke?”.
I can’t answer any of those questions, but I can say this with confidence. God is in control.
“How could he be?”, you ask. “Just look at the world now!”
Yes, things are pretty bad, but does that mean He is not in control?
The Bible talks about times that seem out of control. God allows things to happen because of human decisions made. He is not a puppet master controlling our every move. He created us with minds to use for good…but can, and are often used for wrong. God has created us with freedom of choice.
Twice now, God has judged harshly. The first time was at the beginning of Creation with Adam and Eve being removed from a perfect environment due to their deliberate disobedience of His Word. This affected all of humankind from that moment on.
The second was when He judged the world that had fallen into total sin with the worldwide flood, saving only Noah and his family. He gave humankind ample time to repent, turn around, pay attention to God’s commands and guidance; but they only got worse. Even at the “end”, after Noah had entered the ark after his family and all the animals, God left the door open for another week. No one else elected to go in. They declined the “offer”. Then came the devastating flood leaving its evidence for us all to see…especially the fossil record and fantastic land forms.
The Bible talks about another epic worldwide event to take place in the future. It’s composed of three parts—the Rapture, the Tribulation, and Christ’s second coming to Earth for His thousand year rule…(after which, eternity “begins”.)
Things have to get pretty bad before any of that happens. We are told no one knows the day or the hour…but also that we should not be surprised when it happens.
I have no idea whether we are getting near that time, but this worldwide pandemic has made me think that it could be soon. Don’t get me wrong: there’s no way I, or anyone else, could know whether this is leading to that; but it makes me think, all the same.
I have accepted Christ’s work on the cross on my behalf and have invited Him to be my Savior. As a result, I have assurance that I will be with Him when I die. He is of great comfort to me, in good times and in bad. If the Rapture happens, I am ready. For those who don’t know, it will be a worldwide event happening basically in the twinkling of an eye. Those who are saved through accepting Christ’s sacrifice on their behalf, both those who have already died and those who are still living, will be caught up to meet Him in the sky. We will have new bodies…I like that promise!
….And that begins a seven-year period called the Tribulation for those still on Earth. It is spoken of in several places in the Bible…both in the Old and New Testaments. It ends with the final judgment with no “do-overs.” It will not be pleasant.
Why do I mention all of this? For this reason. If, and I emphasize the “IF”, the Rapture should happen in the next few years or so, and if any of you are still left on the Earth (unfortunately that will be the majority of the people), it’s still not “the end of the world”. You have 7 more years to make that life altering decision to accept the work of Christ on the cross on your behalf. He, perfect God and perfect Man, took your punishment so you wouldn’t have to. But He forces no one. You have to decide you need His saving grace. And…those 7 years are going to be really bad.
So for any of my friends or acquaintances who have told me, “That’s OK for you, but it’s not for me.”…take heed if you see this happening. There is still time now to make that eternal decision that will allow you to live a perfect life eternally on a renewed Earth with access back and forth between Earth and Heaven. You can make that decision now or later. Choosing now will let you avoid the Tribulation time and let you live in perfect peace. After the Tribulation begins, choosing Christ will still get you Eternal Life…perfect life…happiness you can not even conceive of, regardless of horrible conditions.
Who wouldn’t want that?

The Federal courts ruled in the favor of the Governor of California to keep churches closed. We need to pray that we have the chance to get rid of those federal judges on the West Coast and appoint Judges that rule with God.
If we the Ecclesia do not ban together and start voicing to our government leaders that this is infringing on our constitutional rights and we will not allow this we may not have another chance. The 501C is the reason many pastors will not take a stand. We have a president now that is fighting for our rights and freedom. He needs us to fight with him not against him. Agreed. If pastors remain silent just to keep non-profit status, then they have essentially bowed to mammon. Trump has repealed the Johnson Amendment. Non-profit status will not be revoked under his administration that is for sure. Praying for pastors who battle this fear to have courage to be a voice in their communities.

Masks seem to de-humanize a face. They not only, like mentioned, hide a smile, hide beautiful facial expressions that help us communicate, but also make it seem like it is “each man for himself” and send the messages “stay away.” Maybe there is a time and place for them – maybe, bit that can even be argued. But, most certainly not like what’s happening now.

I agree with so much of what you wrote about our role and our calling at such a time as this. Believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob do need to be active in every part of the societies where we live. We do need to be witnesses. We should not be silent or lazy in doing the work of an emissary. That is what we are called to do. The Greek word ekklesia is an equivalent word to a Hebrew word qahal H6951 which refers to the assembly, congregation. It’s a word first used back in Genesis with God’s promise to Abraham to make out of him a great nation. You will see it throughout the Old Testament. God has been at work building his assembly, his congregation, his “church” long before the Roman empire and He is still at work now. I pray that believers get in step with God. That we seek His will and then do it.

Everybody naturally influences those around them with their beliefs (even those who say they believe nothing). So for them to tell Christians to “keep your beliefs to yourself” is blatantly coming from the thief. Keeping this hypocrisy in mind helps me to let my light shine.
And for those of us with asthma it makes it even harder to breathe. It actually makes it more dangerous for us to wear a mask. I prayed in January that the death angel would passover my family and city. I refuse to wear a mask anywhere but in a medical setting. Do you think Jesus and His disciples wore masks? We have the power of God in us. Let us act like it. Will you shrink and take the vaccine too even if is possibly linked to the coming mark of the Beast? I refuse to submit to evil!!!!

Thank you for the excellent article. While a mask can help protect it also distorts the facial features by displaying the appearance of fear and distrust and hiding a much needed smile and inhibiting expressions of hope and life.
And for those among us that are hearing impaired and not only rely on sound (now muffled) but on reading lips…. we are essentially totally deaf.

Every single criticism that has been directed at President Trump are a combination of the ‘carnal things’ that President Trump learned from birth until this very day that has built a ‘carnal wall of protection’ for himself from all the arrows shot at him … both from Christians, other people of faith, Republicans and Democrats to keep himself strong enough to not lose his ’emotional, physical and mental strength’! I left out spiritual strength because the ‘carnal wall of protection’ wouldn’t be necessary if the Christians were on our knees praying for the things that displease us ‘spirits of the flesh’ and believe God Himself to straighten out the Christians FIRST and all others regarding the ‘more reserved characteristics of some of our other Presidents in the past’ … The only Spiritual Strength our President or Christians or non-Christians will receive are from God, His Grace, His Mercy and most of all His great love for each one of us individually and collectives as Citizens of our Country and Citizens of God’s Kingdom. Today, it is God’s Hope that we all spend more time on our knees praying and being thankful for our Blessings … then God Himself will make our President’s Path Straight, his mind in control and his heart healed from the hurt we all have caused him from the mean and corrupt way some of us by nature tend to speak … We will keep our masks on to keep Silent any words that do not bring Justice … and especially bring Glory to God!
