I Prayed have prayed
Lord, please help us to be wise stewards of Your creation that You put in our charge. May we be motivated by truth and love — not captivated by fear.

Climate change is… How do you end that sentence? Would you say “real”? “Dangerous”? “A hoax”? Maybe just “confusing”?

Well, former Vice President Joe Biden believes climate change is “an existential threat.” In fact, according to his presidential campaign, he “knows there is no greater challenge facing our country and our world.”

That is a big statement. And when a top leader says something like that, I’m listening. Especially when what follows is an assertion that “the United States urgently needs to embrace greater ambition on an epic scale to meet the scope of this challenge” (emphasis mine).

Now the last three weeks we have been trying to get a sense of priorities for a Biden administration, zooming in on an extensive set of recommendations issued by the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force. We’ve looked at health care and education.

Today we look at the climate issue, which is REALLY big for them. In fact, it is the first issue discussed at length in the Biden-Sanders report. Also, its title and much of its text is copy-and-pasted into the “Combating the Climate Crisis and Pursuing Environmental Justice” section of the draft Democrat party platform that will be voted on in Milwaukee later this month.

There is a lot in the Biden-Sanders report that could be good for discussion. Taking better care of our land and waterways, countering pollution, and infrastructure investment all seem like goals people of different political perspectives could hash out ways to pursue together.

But there are also recommendations aggressively clamping down on fossil fuels and requiring a new “climate test” for infrastructure projects domestically and abroad. In addition, the Biden-Sanders team wants to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement, contribute to the international Green Climate Fund, and make climate a top diplomatic priority. Moreover, they want to re-organize parts of the U.S. government to elevate climate policy with such new entities as a White House Office of Climate Mobilization and a U.S. Justice Department Office of Environmental Justice “to hold corporate polluters accountable.”

The climate drafting team was led by former Secretary of State John Kerry and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. While Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal was not specifically in the unity recommendations, it’s worth noting that Biden believes her massive plan “is a crucial framework.”

It’s also worth remembering what Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said about the Green New Deal after he brought it up for a recorded vote last year:

“Yesterday, the vast majority of Senate Democrats could not dismiss something as crazy as ending the production of American oil, coal, natural gas, and nuclear energy within a decade…. Senate Democrats could not reject a plan to take more control over where Americans choose to live, how they choose to get around, and how they earn a living. Senate Democrats could not even reject a plan that, according to rough estimates, could raise families’ utility bills by hundreds of dollars a month and cost the U.S. government more than the entire 2017 GDP of the whole world.”

Now I should say that I’m a nature-lover. I love walking in the woods. Oceans, lakes, and rivers are a balm for my spirit. And I am fascinated by creatures large and small.

As I said on Earth Day on my blog, I don’t submit to “Mother Earth” dogma. But I do desire to embrace wholeheartedly the gifts of our Father the Creator. He designed this planet and put us here for a purpose. In fact, Genesis 1:28 indicates that we are supposed to steward this place and have a leadership role here.

We are also called to love our neighbors.

So if something is happening to our climate — and many scientists point to evidence that something is — then we need to pay prayerful attention. If climate change is real — regardless of its cause — and if its consequences could be most harmful to the poor in our world, then we need to think about that and how to really help. We also need to do our best to properly steward ecosystems God created as good.

But here’s the thing, if climate change is not the imminent apocalypse some paint it to be — if there is room for conversation about the science and/or potential remedies — then the care we take in our response in that situation is equally important for hard-working Americans and the future of our nation.

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” (Genesis 1:26)

No matter what you believe about this, I still have the last word on climate change with my multitude of diasters that I sent on this world over the years since Agnes. God gave me the mantle of Elijah to bring this stupid dum idiotic foolish world back to the Lord. You have two choices here: you either repent or I will kill you with one or more diaster.
I waited for you forever I am seriously ticked off as well as God. You fight me you fight God, because He was the One who put me in this situation in the first place. I mean I killed about five billion people so far. You want to add to this, continue rebeling against God. I hate that, I care for all people not just one race or another, it breaks my heart to send a diaster, But, I must do what God requires of me,come back please- serve Him and be blessed.

What do I think? Here’s what I think…

Former Pres. Obama bought an $11,000,000 (some put it at $15,000,000) beach house. Who would buy such an item if they thought our shores were going to be flooded in the next 15 years or so?

The Left needs crises to seize power. Authoritarian power. There may indeed be something happening. But, there’ve been cooler and warmer periods in Earth’s history going back countless years. When the “hottest year on record”, as we’ve seen by the L.A. Times, is 0.003 degrees warmer than the year before, I say sit back, relax, and throw the paper into a fire.

No… it’s another sham of the Democratic part to fleece American treasure from taxpayers.

Why climate change?

Because it’s another “vague“ issue that can can be pumped up by the mouth piece of the Democratic Party (NBC, CNBC,CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC etc…)
And nobody canNEVER be held accountable for the trillions that will goto Something that no one can really prove or disprove like climate change.

Same goes for that dumb “green New Deal”

Vague and intangible to keep ripping America off….

Satan always uses fear to control people. I remember the Ice Age scare when I was in school. Climate has been changing since the beginning of the earth. Many scientists disagree with the climate change theorists. They say man has a negligible impact on the climate compared to the Sun. With that said, we should always be good stewards of what God as given us, and at the same time refuse to be controlled by the Globalist Marxist agenda of “Climate Change”.

I want to remind everyone that Soros had/has an agenda to infiltrate our churches and Christian communities with a Socialist Church Doctrine. This goal was also 1 of the 45 goals of the Communist Party that was read into our 1963 U.S. Congressional Record. You can google it and read all 45 goals.

There is an evil agenda to seize control of every aspect of our lives in the USA. We must learn to question everything in these last days and stay prayerful. Pray for God’s Discernment, Insight & Foresight. We need it more than ever.

When I see smoke stacks belching black smoke, or people wearing masks because of air pollution and know of ships large and small dumping their trash and bilge directly into the ocean….I am tired of the same old nonsense about climate change because of the foregoing and more.
However, the technology and offset to correct All has been know for over the 50 years I’ve been aware of this rape of land and environment. It Can Be Corrected at a price. BUT no one is accountable so???

In America, we have done away with “smokestacks belching black smoke” some time ago. You may see white clouds of steam from the cooling towers of nuclear power stations, but they will only look black if photographed against the light by deliberate intent. There will always be exceptions, such as the Dem controlled poisoned water scandal in Detroit, but on the whole we live in a very safe environment here. This cannot be said for places that were once behind the iron curtain, where socialists/communists were in power.

We have regular air alerts from pollution. We live in a valley so the pollution just hangs over us until we have a breeze. This affects people with current respiratory problems and we’re warned about care for the future.
Some suggestions: don’t use air conditioners, use commuter transportation, don’t smoke and cause fires. Plant trees.
We are a world user that affects all. Another example: we lived in Alaska. The ships dumped bilge and garbage into the water because the fine for dumping was much less than offloading.
I appreciate your comment. I feel like I have to stop sometimes and ask the Lord’s help with my attitude. I want to see God’s ability working to solve the issues. Blessings

Karen, I believe you are right about ships dumping garbage. There are documented “mats” of garbage in our ocean(s). Of course this kind of pollution is disgusting. But it isn’t changing the temperature of the earth in any significant way, as far as I am aware.
As a former medical physicist, I try to read the details and understand the science behind the global warming debate. Basically, as mentioned by at least a few commenters already, the earth has been warming gradually since the last little Ice Age. Fossil evidence all over the world, and in the United States, indicates that our climate was once quite tropical. Interesting, no? The current “greening” in arid places, due to the very gradual rise in temperature, is well documented by satellite images. Food production has improved, and world hunger has decreased. See Just Facts website on this, where you will find links to original sources. I think you will appreciate that.

Let us not forget how warm and green Greenland was centuries ago.

I refuse to get on board with this Leftist hysteria. They need us all to be afraid so we give our freedoms up to a government that will solve the problem… which they never will, as long as they need the crisis to maintain that power.

Remember “1984”. Oceania was supposedly at war alternately with Eastasia and Eurasia. Periodically the government would send a missile into Oceania’s territory to make it look like “the enemy” had gotten one through.

Look… We’ve been hearing about can levels rising for decades now. One example I read about — in Alaska — was actually erosion. At this point in time, FL and NY should be experiencing some shore loss. Are they? I’ve heard NOTHING to that effect.

Besides the pols pushing it do not believe it themselves. Obama buys a mega-buck beach house,… Ted Kennedy & Co get upset when there’s talk of building wind turbines in the Atlantic that would ruin the view from their homes…

As Scrooge said, it’s all humbug.

Climate change is a reality, just not the way the Dems are saying. Read history, look at the past. The climate is always changing. The past 50 years of my adult life, I cannot say that the Liberals view of climate change has met their predictions. But even in the past 170 or so years, we survived the “little ice age”. So, if everything we are “doing is going to cause global warming, what to we base the standard on? 2,000 years ago? 10,000 years ago? 170 years ago? 50 years ago? Ok, so do we have any info on it, or is it just a grandiose statement “global warming is coming” we have to spend trillions of dollars to combat it?
Don’t get me wrong, I believe we should do everything we can to protect our environment, but combating global warming on Biden/Sanders suggestion is just another liberal mass spending spree to increase debt and make their friends richer. What are the effects of the trillions spent on Covid-19, lies, deception, fake reports, death tolls based in numbers to cause us to tremble? The earth has a far greater ability to heal itself than a need for us to intervene because God created it weak and unable to take care of itself. Volcanoes do more damage to aid climate change than all our inequities against it, so how do we change what is inherently part of our world’s process?
I have always said that there is nothing that frustrates a politician more than a pot of money they can’t get their hands on. And this year has shown that politicians (liberals mainly) will do whatever they have to to create a reason to crisis that they can misuse taxpayers dollars for.

If we read the Bible, we know that God is silent about climate change being an existential threat to our existence. Does Joe Biden know more than the LORD God who created the earth and gave man dominion over it? While I support not allowing pollutants into the environment, nowhere in scripture do I see God warning us about global warming The real threat facing the planet is prophesied in Revelation and is being broadcast into our homes daily. It is the rise of lawlessness and the desire for mankind to become their own Gods. Jesus taught his disciples to pray, “… thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” If the earth is threatened, we, the church have the solution. It is prayer.

I remember reading not long ago that the level of sunspot activity is the factor most affecting global temperature, and I can only think of one scripture related to global warming. It is Revelation 18:8-9, “The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.”

Lord God, you are the one in control of our climate. We trust in you and not in the puny works of man. We renounce the attempts of the enemy to blame mankind for that which is under your control. In the powerful name of Jesus, Amen!

As a meteorologist who has worked in the atmospheric physics department of a national lab, this is my educated opinion and conclusion after looking at what’s happening in the field, particularly with climate modeling. 1) CO2 is not and cannot be an effective greenhouse gas. We should try to keep our air clean, scrubbing effluents from the stacks of coal-fired power plants, etc., but creating CO2at even higher rates than we are doing will not create any significant warming of the earth-atmosphere system. 2) Solar radiation is the primary driver of climate change, therefore we should learn to predict that and make plans, in advance, to adapt, especially wrt agriguclture. 3) Every climate model that incorporates that little CO2 feedback mechanism to make it look like a greenhouse gas verifies abysmally. But the sad thing is that we have taught this pseudoscience to a whole generation of meteorologists. 4) CO2 was not considered a greenhouse gas until someone saw a way to make a lot of money from it. And they did. The idea made a few millionaires, but it will bankrupt a lot of economies if we don’t recognize the truth.
Man often tries to elevate himself to places God says he should not. Short of large-scale nuclear war, we are powerless to control the earth’s climate. Micro- and meso-climates we can impact to a degree, but not the climate of planet earth and certainly not through releasing CO2 into the atmosphere.

The NY Times as well. They deliberately block POVs that do not fit the management’s propaganda narrative. I am praying for the total fall of the mainstream media, the shameful exposure of the individual “journalists”, and the rise of truthful objectivity.

Heavenly Father, in Jesus Name, I pray the Holy Spirit will lead those who are followers of You in leadership positions to seek Your wisdom and will before action is taken on “Climate Control”, or any matter impacting society. Stop legislation which would harm the welfare of individuals and the economy. Prevent evil motives from controlling plans and legislation. Thank You Lord for watching over Your Creation. Help us all to be good stewards. Amen.

This article reminds me of the book of JOB: 37-42 mankind is forever questioning GOD and the creation that was handed to care for: but mankind needs to listen to the LORD ALMIGHTY in the whirlwind and in the stillness:1kings 19:9-18 Elijah in the cave and GOD : a dove in the cleft of rock can be at peace in the storm : we can be at peace: for JESUS YESHUA told us these things were to be but the end of the earth isn’t yet Matthew 24 : we were told that plastic bags were bad for the environment thus cloth bags were the green deal until the coronovirus appeared :
