Our nation is in crisis as we enter 2021. IFA President Dave Kubal has issued a call to fast and pray January 4-6, 2021.
We believe that collective fasting is the single most unifying action the community does together. The Bible teaches that fasting takes our prayers to another level (Mt 6:16-18). Will you join us?
We are not prescribing what you fast–seek the Lord for that. We do want you to have the resources you need to fast effectively. Here are the free resources that can help you prepare for the fast and complete it:

We are praying. All of us are crying out. We are all patriots and pleasing in the eyes of God. I think about how our glorious nation was created. With prayers and God’s guidance. We are still guided buy God. We love all that God has blessed us by allowing us to be born in such a beautiful country. One of the most wonderful things about America is the blessings. Blessings of the people, the land, the resources and wealth. This is the only place on earth that has came out stronger after every evil attack and oppression. I believe that the prayers of the founding fathers are still being honored by God. I don’t believe their prayers will ever expire for us. The fact that we are all here, together for the United States of America is proof that we are still “One nation under God”. Please don’t ever give up. God will deliver on his promises. Since yesterday, I have been praying and fasting in concert with my fellow believers in Christ. Will continue to fast and pray as we come to tomorrow’s critical day for Congress and the election. May God give courage to our Congress men and women to stand up for election integrity and stand against fraud and corruption. Lord bring justice and truth. Make speed to save us. Make haste to help us Yahweh Sabaoth.
I am on day 6 of a seven day fast; I will try to add on day eight. Was encouraged by Derek Prince teaching on the fasting by the Israelites after King Saul’s murder and disgraceful treatment of his corpse. Derek Prince commented that after they fasted the lives of the Israelites improved greatly in 2 Samuel.
The LORD has given me this assignment and has helped me greatly. I was thinking of adding another day considering the seriousness of our times.
1Sa 31:8 The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
1Sa 31:9 So they cut off his head and stripped off his armor and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines, to carry the good news to the house of their idols and to the people.
1Sa 31:10 They put his armor in the temple of Ashtaroth, and they fastened his body to the wall of Beth-shan.
1Sa 31:11 But when the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead heard what the Philistines had done to Saul,
1Sa 31:12 all the valiant men arose and went all night and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Beth-shan, and they came to Jabesh and burned them there.
1Sa 31:13 And they took their bones and buried them under the tamarisk tree in Jabesh and fasted seven days.
I started a fast on Monday thinking of the electoral college so decided to do 3 days. At the time I thought of it, I thought I should go look in my library for Derek Prince teaching. Then, catching up on emails today, I find IFA asking us to fast 3 days with them. I am on the second day and happy the Lord led me to do it! I have joined Clay Nash’s 2:22 prayer calls for the USA, always appreciate IFA, and watch Dutch Sheets Give Him 15 daily-day 60 today. Read “Isaiah 60:19b! The enemy has come in like a flood, but in many ministries like IFA we lift up a standard against him!” Halleluia!

I just learned about the fast this AM. I have been praying daily for this whole election nightmare for weeks. Count me in to fast also from Noon to 6 PM for the remaining days. May God receive the glory and honor that is His alone.

When I was a kid, my grandmother bought me a candy-apple red tricycle with streamers on the handlebars—state of the art for its day, which was 1956. I was not quite four. That red tricycle was my prize possession, kind of like the “kiddie version” of a Cadillac same as the one Grandma drove.
One day the neighbor boy next door, a bully, marched over to my house and told me he was there to steal my tricycle. Paralyzed with fear, I watched helplessly as he taunted me with what he planned to do, then pushed me down and stole the tricycle. He not only drove it out of my yard but drove it around the neighborhood.
When I realized this wasn’t a prank and the kid was not going to return it in a couple of days, I went to my father in tears and begged him to make the bully next door give back my tricycle.
Dad said, “No—you go right over there and get it. Today’s the day you learn to fight back when somebody tries to take what’s yours.”
Tearfully, I realized that if I was to get the tricycle back, I would have to go get it—or risk losing it forever.
So I dried my eyes, went next door, and called out at the top of my lungs for the bully to come outside.
He came sauntering out onto the porch and the minute he did I hit him in the eye with my fist.
I had caught him by surprise and socked him with everything I had. I couldn’t believe it: Here was the neighborhood bully, wilted and whimpering, crying like a girl and yelling for his Mommy.
Meantime, I spotted my tricycle, jumped on board, and wheeled back home.
That was the day, just as my father predicted, that I learned to stand up for myself and not roll over when the thief comes calling.

Amen, Alyse – I love your story – what a powerful comparison! I have been worshiping with Ron Kenoly videos since 2 days after the election. One of my favorites is Going Up to the High Places….part of the song is “what he (the devil) said was his has been ours all along, we’re gonna tear the devil’s kingdom down.” When I was out running errands one day, the Lord gave me Luke 11:21-22 to pray. So – Father God, our eyes are on You. You are our Warrior King, and I ask that You overpower those who trust in their own armor, in their schemes and wicked plans. There is none stronger than You, Lord Jesus. Rise up and lay bare your Holy arm on behalf of your people. I appeal to You as Abraham did for Sodom – please spare this nation for the sake of your people and restore it to the purpose for which You created it. You know that we elected a man who is concerned for the unborn and the victims of human trafficking; who loves Your people and proclaims Your Name publicly. I am reminded of the battle against the Amalekites in Exodus 17 when the Lord said He would be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation – verse 16. If this is a battle against the Amalekites for this generation then I pray that President Trump will hold his hands up to God as Moses was commanded to do and may others stand alongside President Trump holding up his arms, like Aaron and Hur did, for as long as this battle rages. May the Trump ‘Joshuas’ fighting against the Amalekites be given the victory so that the Amalekites in this generation will be defeated.

Fraud, which is documented and ever more is coming to light, especially which the Dominion voting machines. I just listened to the Georgia Senate Fraud investigation committee, and much fraud was presented and PROVEN OFTEN WITH VIDEOS TOO. . Never believe otherwise. God hears our prayers and pleas for mercy and help, and HE can and will correct things, as we continue to go to HIM. Our present president is good but we are dealing with principalities of darkness in high places… God is the only one powerful and GREAT enough, to heal America , if he chooses. The problem is that we as a country have in many ways turned our back on God and gone off the rails, and so we have destroyed many of our special blessings and protections from above. As as we honor HIM again and kindly and honestly respect each other and protect life, and keep God front and center change for the better will happen. The opposite is true if we do not.

Yes, fasting Jan 4-6th. Worshipping, Praying and Seeking Gods Mercy and Favor to be upon those Senators and Congressmen as they present their reasons for rejecting Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania’s electoral votes. I will be praying the Holy Spirit moves upon them and mightily convicts the listening lawmakers until they investigate and validate the reality of the 2020 election fraud. And most of all, that the Legal Votes of all those millions of Americans will be honored, counted and vindicated.

We must pray at an even higher level against spiritual wickedness in high places. In the last week, 3 Republican Legislators have lost their life. It was reported that Louisiana-elect Representative Luke Letlow died from complications related to COVID-19. He was only 41. Then Ben Chafin Jr., age 60 dies supposedly after contacting COVID-19, and now Mike Reese, Pennsylvania House Representative, age 42, dies of a aneurysm.
Something does not feel right, smell right, look right. Why are only Republicans dying? Remember back in 2017 when an attempt was made to take out Republican lawmakers at a baseball game.
Father God, place Jesus Blood be cloak of protection around any of our Legislators the enemy may be targeting. Let your supernatural hedge guard them and their families. Let no harmful tactic be used against them. If these deaths have been perpetrated by the enemy Father God, quickly reveal their identities and motives to the public eye, arrest them and punish them. Let not these deaths put fear in the mind and hearts of Republican Legislators who are being tasked to do the right thing in the coming dates. Let the plans of the enemy result in a blatant defeat and disclose the depth and breath of their wickedness. We trust you Father God, in the Name of Your Son Jesus to cast your judgement upon them.
We pray for the families of those Legislators for Holy Ghost to comfort them at this time. We ask that their deaths not be in vain. Amen.
I plan to participate in the 3 day fast, praying specifically for God’s hand to move in the USA. My prayers are for the integrity of this election, the protection of the Trump and Pence families, the legislation, judges, governors to have God’s courage to do what is right and truthful, and most important, that the name of Jesus will be glorified.

I was blessed to fast a meal a day for 40 days before the election, and more than 40 days after. I broke the fast when I heard that seven states chose dueling electors. It felt like a time to celebrate, but it was already on my heart to go back to fasting these three days before the electoral votes are presented to both houses of Congress, so I’m glad to know many others will be fasting these three days as well.

I’m in. I’ve been fasting since the second week in November 2020. I felt it was a way to hear more clearly what the Lord is saying about how and when to pray, and that fasting does take our prayers to a more effective level. It shows the Lord we are in earnest about seeking Him and causing Him to move on our behalf. Thank you IFA for calling this corporate fast so we can see our God move mightily in the coming days. It’s a good read and relates to our situation with COVID and political unrest. God is wanting us to cry out to Him and return to Him with all our hearts and He will bless us! I was planning to pray and fast on Jan 5 and 6 on my own but after reading your article requesting us to collectively fast for 3 days, I feel led to add the additional day as having studied scripture I do think that there is something significant about 3 – as that is the number of days Esther fasted to save the Jews from Haman who wanted them all dead. Three days is how long the Messiah was in the grave before resurrection from the dead. There is also more strength and power when we come together as a body of believers together to pray, fast and praise Him.

Do not fear, Valerie! I don’t always click “I prayed” and have only responded to one other comment but I’ve been praying along with this group for almost a year. I try to read all the articles and pray daily. I’m not always successful but when I have time I go over the comments and pray along with them, sometimes praying for the people that write. Some days I spend hours doing this and I suspect there are many like me. (I believe there are statistics re how few people publicly engage although they will participate) I’ve told many about IFA and although I don’t see them here, I know some

I would also like to confirm to you that I am praying and fasting as well. I go over everyone’s comments and pray their prayers with them to Our Heavenly Father. I am reminded when Elijah’s servant didn’t think there were any left who were fighting with them, Elijah prayed and God opened the eyes of the servant to see thousands upon thousands who were with them. Mike, A partial fast is A.O.K. I just ask God what He wants me to do.
Mike, you don’t have to reframe from eating. Give up something these following days that you greatly enjoy doing. It could be watching a certain TV show or a certain activity that you really enjoy doing. Those are just some examples. For me, I’ve given up eating desserts after a meal for several days. I love sweets, so that wasn’t so easy to do.

Have been fasting since before Nov 3 in different ways. After The disastrous election. I switched to a different fast . Because of health issues, I cannot do food and water fast, but I can set aside some things that are a real enjoyment to me.After becoming very sick on Dec 15,This particular part of the fast became more difficult, but have persevered. I had told the Lord I would do this until the election was resolved. It is not resolved, and your words have been an encouragement to me. The Lord has touched me, and am so grateful. It was especially difficult the last few days but we are nearing the only other humanly possible way to see this resolved. That does not mean God has no options, it just means we can’t see them.

I wish he, and other local churches in GA, would open back up. They shut down again a week or so before Christmas because the local hospital called local churches and asked the churches to close down. But, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and other stores have not restrictive the number of people going in. The stores and parking lots are full, but local GA churches are closed. It doesn’t make sense.
Dear fellow believers, I highly recommend Derek Prince’s writings and videos, only having discovered them last year. It seems that we have largely ignored fasting as a spiritual discipline…..I think we are afraid to fast. We might appear to be “fanatics” and we might “feel bad” physically and get weak. These are satanic lies. I’m not nearly as accomplished at fasting as I’d like to be but I have done almost a three day fast and some shorter ones and I didn’t die, as a matter of fact I felt quite well. I am a 63 year old woman. I drank water and black coffee as I didn’t wish to experience caffeine withdrawal. I encourage everyone to commit to this and at least start with one meal or one day and DO NOT let the evil one make you feel guilty. Do what you can and Jesus will accept your willing heart right where you are!
I would also recommend reading or listening to Dr Jason Fung on you tube as he is a nephrologist who has used fasting with his patients for excellent blood sugar control and improved health. He is not speaking spiritually but physiologically about fasting and can assuage fears and answer those kind of questions. I’ve really enjoyed his podcasts as he is quite down to earth and humorous! I am a semi retired nurse practitioner and I believe fasting has a place in nearly every believers life. Having chronic health conditions does not preclude us from experiencing this awesome blessing as we approach our living God and seek to do what Jesus did. He fasted! Thank you for the suggestion to drink water with some black coffee. I do not want the caffeine migraine either. I am 59 and have never fasted before, but have been praying for years. I will go for the 3 day fast as I pray and praise God. My husband will most likely join me. We are both veterans and know the evils of communism. God is our only hope. I am joining you in fasting. Derek Prince, recounted in his book, SHAPING HISTORY THROUGH PRAYER AND FASTING (pgs 61-62), the story behind the End of Stalin’s Era. After World War 2, Stalin planned a systematic purge of all Jews living in Soviet Russia…a Second Holocaust. Mr. Prince got word of the planned action and a day of fasting and prayer was set aside by him and a few prayer groups to intercede for the Jewish people.Two weeks to the day after the prayer meeting Josef Stalin unexpectedly died. The proposed genocide was averted and scrapped and the Russian Jews were saved. Mr Prince points out no member of the prayer group prayed for Mr.Stalin’s death. “We simply committed the situation inside Russia to God, and trusted His wisdom for the answer that was needed.” This always inspires me.
