The potential for Senator Bernie Sanders to be as a Presidential candidate for a major party, and also therefore to be elected President, is the most serious threat to religious freedom in our nation from the Executive branch we may have ever had. To be sure, I don’t know if God has a plan to continue advancing Bernie supernaturally in order to accomplish His purposes. Either way this is a major matter for prayer. I am surprised how many younger Christians are unaware of his religious views and are actively supporting him. Christians may disagree on policy but Bernie’s views on whether Christians can actively follow Jesus’ claims to exclusivity should be a matter that unites us all.
During a Senate confirmation hearing meeting in 2017, Senator Sanders said Russell Vought, a nominee for Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget, was unqualified because Mr. Vought believes Jesus was the only way to God. The Senator’s view was that because Mr. Vought thought Mohammad’s teachings were not an equal way to God, he should not serve in the U.S. government. Sanders’ closing statement is: “This nominee is not what this country is supposed to be about.” (Watch the interchange below.)
This is an extremely dangerous and unconstitutional opinion. The core faith tenet of Christianity is that Jesus is the way, truth, and life, and that no one gets to the Father but through Him (Jesus’ own words in John 14:6). Bernie Sanders basically declared all Christians who adhere to historical, biblical Christianity as unfit to serve in our government. Nothing could be more in opposition to the real life history of our nation’s founders and the grand majority of our nation’s previous governmental leaders than this. Bernie Sander’s views in this matter make him unlike any other major candidate for President in our nation’s history and potentially pose the most serious threat to our First Amendment rights this nation has ever seen from the Executive Branch. It is this one singular view above all others that makes him unfit for office as a Senator or President. He counts on his own right to espouse his openly socialist political policy positions. His desire to strip First Amendment rights of those he disagrees with actually threatens his own right to free speech regarding his socialist views.

Sander’s thinking is dangerous and wrong. H’e off on a number of issues, yet many young people can not see through him. That is where discernment, a Gift of the Holy Spirit, comes into play. Pray for discernment.and put on the Whole Armour of God (EPH 6).
Father, I come boldly to Your throne of grace to ask that you open Senator Bernie Sander’s eyes
to see, his ears to hear and his heart to understand Who You Are and who You created him to be.
According to Joel old men will dream dreams in these latter days so I ask for a revelatory dream
that will enlighten his understanding and afford him the opportunity to receive Your love, Your forgiveness
and eternal salvation. I pray his wife, Jane and son Levi also come to know and love You. In the name of
Yeshua. Hallelujah! P.S.And Lord I’ve prayed for many years that former President Obama would have an encounter

I came from Cuba when I was 11, 53 years ago. I experienced how dreadful communism is. The government confiscated the businesses, doctrinated the schools, the people. When we left, we could only bring three articles of clothing per person. All of our other possessions we had to leave behind to the government.
One house in the block reported to the government what the others were doing. Shortage of food, items needed, no medicines. Many people were murdered and killed because they did not support this doctrine of communism.
Their doctrine is against God.
We need to be in prayer and educate the people in this country.

WHAT “purposes” would God have in advancing Bernie???

I believe the author’s point runs toward the notion that specific people need to be in specific roles to accomplish His plan. This isn’t the best answer because I’m not giving you any research at the moment, but when you think about the good and bad rulers in the Bible, consider that God had a purpose for the Pharaoh’s heart to harden the same as He had a plan for Moses to lead Israel out of slavery.

Lord, I pray that Sen. Bernie Sanders has a “Damascus Road” encounter with our Risen and Resurrected Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Father God, I pray that Sen. Bernie Sanders is so profoundly convicted of his sins and that he turns and repents. Father God, like You humbled King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel ch. 4, so I pray that You would humble Mr. Sanders, that he would look up and that he would acknowledge that there is a God in Heaven and that He rules in the affairs of men and that He raises up and places in charge whomever He will. In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, amen.

I would add that the spirit of antichrist that is so full of anger and rage be bound and sent to the sea that we will not have
another leader like the one who led Germany into a world war by enticing the youth of that country to hate! Asking for deliverance that we need from all who are trying to oppress us in this nation to see they are persecuting Jesus and repent as Paul did when he asked Who are You?
May they not be allowed to suppress the truth of the gospel. May Jesus say to Bernie Saunders, “I AM the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Sanders violated the Constitution and the First Amendment in particular. He should be censored by the Senate.
If Mr. Sanders was to investigate and quote people from other religions including Islam, and even Atheists, he would find they ALL think they are right and exclusive. Why did he pick out and attack a Christian? How will he deal with The 1st Amendment, “…Will not hinder the free exercise thereof” ? I think we know!
The speed at which ungodly legislation is being accepted as “fair and right“ is a bit astounding. It’s been coming down the proverbial pike for years – look back at Hollywood’s offerings – but many of us have been asleep to the ramifications.
This morning I asked the Lord what his perspective was and this is what came to mind:
“It shouldn’t surprise you that those who don’t know me war against me, my people and my ways. THIS is not the horror so much as their not knowing me!”
So I will definitely still pray for the failure of ungodly legislation, but I am going to once again pray for the supernatural enlightenment (the revelation of the Lordship of Jesus Christ ) to come to all those in positions of influence in our land who stand ready to harm the expansion of God’s kingdom on earth.
