House Democrats plan to move legislation criminalizing private gun sales out of committee and get it to the floor for a vote this week.
On January 8, Breitbart News reported that House Democrats introduced the legislation, dubbed H.R. 8, in honor of the eighth anniversary of the January 8, 2011, attack on Gabby Giffords.
Giffords stood with the Democrats as they introduced their gun control:

H.R. 8 would outlaw the private gun sales Americans have enjoyed since December 15, 1791, the date on which the Second Amendment was ratified. This would criminalize a neighbor who sold a gun to lifelong neighbor without first getting government permission via a background check. It would also criminalize a friend for selling a gun to lifelong friend without government permission.
Ironically, the bill would have done nothing to stop the attack on Gabby Giffords because her attacker did not buy his gun privately. Rather, he passed a background check to acquire the gun retail.
Moreover, H.R. 8 would have done nothing to stop nearly every mass shooter to date in the 21st century. This is because nearly every mass shooter acquired his guns via background checks, rather than private gun sales. The exceptions are those who stole their guns.
Yet Democrats are rushing this legislation to the House floor for a vote. Reuters reports that the House Judiciary Panel “will mark up the bill…on February 13 and send it to the House floor for a vote.” (Excerpt from Awr Hawkins in Breitbart News)

Democrats make laws to take away the rights of our citizens. They make laws to protect the criminals! But it does NOT bother them to MURDER BABIES IN THE WOMB OR IN THE PROCESS OF BEING BORN! Guns do not Murder people criminals do, and criminals do not register guns or obey the laws! Guns do not MURDER BABIES…DEMOCRATS AND PLANNED PARENTHOOD DO!!!

Father, this Country was founded on Your Word and Your Truth. Father, You gave our Constitution framers wisdom and guidance to write a bill of amendments giving us Americans freedom from tyranny and from those who would later try to harm our way of life. You have given us freedom and we are grateful for this. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. You’ve called us to be lights in darkness. Father help this people who have strayed so far from You and Your commandments that they would rather live in oppression and be slaves to a government as long as they are entertained with full bellies. Open the eyes of this Nation who calls evil good and good evil. But this is not so for all, You have Your remnant- You always do. Protect our Constitution for the sake of Your remnant, protect our Bill of Rights,which includes freedom of speech and the right to bear arms.
You are Sovereign and You have a plan. Wake Your church and let us be about Your work while we still have the freedom to do so.
