Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch on Monday announced that it filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Transportation Department seeking information about the painting of the phrase “Black Lives Matter” on a public street in Washington, D.C. and the closing off foot and pedestrian traffic on that stretch of road for months.
The group filed the suit after filing a FOIA request in August with the department’s Federal Highway Administration regarding communication with the District of Columbia’s Department of Transportation about the painting on the street, the street closure and records identifying protocols on shutting down roads deemed part of the District Evacuation Route.
The plaza stretches about three blocks on 16th Street NW, about one block from the White House. . . .
“D.C. Mayor Bowser shut down a major street near the White House to make a political statement for the BLM/Defund the Police agenda,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. “Our lawsuit highlights how and why federal dollars should not be used to subsidize this abuse.”
The phrase “Black Lives Matter” and the D.C. crest were painted on the roadway by people including “artists, residents, District employees, and demonstrators” on June 5, 2020, according to Judicial Watch, which noted on the next day people also painted the message “Defund the Police” on the street.
Judicial Watch on July 1, 2020, lodged a civil rights suit against Bowser and others in connection with not being permitted to paint the phrase “Because No One Is Above The Law!” on a District road.

Judicial watch is again absolutely correct in filing this lawsuit. While it may take time to make it through the courts thanks to DC courts notorious liberally famous “delay” system, JW should eventually prevail. They are on the right side of both the law and Constitution as they almost always are.
The DC mayor misappropriated funds for both political and personal reasons. She should be investigated right down to the last nickel in her personal and “overseas bank accounts”.
DC mayorship has been under the drive of Satan for decades. The Christian Church really needs to add the DC government to it’s must do list of breaking strongholds.
I hope that justice prevails in this matter. I pray that men and women everwhere will actually study the tenets and philosophy of the BLM. The vast majority of people see this as a spontaneous support of the black community.. But BLM is according to its own tenets a radical and dangerous organization. Praying for citizens to seek knowledge, aquire wisdom, and have discernment that comes from God Almighty.
Defecting public property I thought had consequences.
Wash if or repaint over this, give out fines to the group leader who motivated not following the ordinances.
Outside factions are responsible for these radical defenses for minorities. Let us stand up for people in general and ghettos and poor areas. Let us not be race-conscious

Lord I pray You would expose the very roots of noncompliance related to the Freedom of Information Act that were undermined by former Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama administration to impede requests for information and giving cover for obstruction of evidence found by such requests.
Weed out the guardians of propaganda and untruths that an honest discovery of agendas be made known in this hour. May the influence of integrity be exchanged for the domination of evil and wickedness over this corrupted generation today in the name of Jesus who uncovers the lies and reveals the truth.
Remove every stumbling block from our government from the White House to Congress to our local Legislatures. I pray that this is the time for truth to ride through the middle of every lie a malicious attack against the leaders You are promoting. I think this is a very important matter and Tom Fitton is doing an awesome job! These political activists cannot paint a political message on a public street using taxpayer dollars. If it were a conservative message, they would not allow it. That mayor should be fined for using tax dollars to fund this disgraceful sign.
We are praying for our president and all who serve in public office, including our adversaries with radical left ideologies.
